This little hole-in-the-wall is one of my favorite places to eat in Nashville. The owners and servers are warm and welcoming, and the food is delicious. You also can't beat the prices!

If you're looking for an authentic and traditional Korean food, then this is the place to go. We ordered the seafood pancake, and they also have sushi which was delicious. Everything was tasted really fresh. The owner is very sweet and treated us with the best service. It feels like you're in a mom and pops shop in Korea once you step inside!

Nov. 11, 2023I love Midori and their sushi! Never disappoint! Of course, I ordered an Avocado Roll, Cucumber Roll, O.M.G Roll and the Lion King Roll. All I can say is, it was amazing! For appetizer: Edamame and Agedashi TofuP.S.: People with seafood allergies, please aware of cross contamination. I spoke to the chef, he said that he only uses one knife to cut his rolls and will not be able to accommodate people who have allergies.

My parents, son, and I enjoyed a Saturday lunch. Service was prompt and friendly. Prices were reasonable for the amount of food we received. I enjoyed the ginger salad and miso soup, so when my tofu teriyaki arrived, I could only eat about half and had lots of rice left over. My son got two sushi rolls, my mom got the salmon teriyaki bento box which was so much food, she had a lot to bring home as leftovers. My dad got the eel box which he liked. The restaurant is a little bit hidden in the corner where the Lowe's is. I will definitely come back when I come back to town!

If you dare to venture way down Nolensville Pike you'll be rewarded with this locals-favorite. The shopping center has all kinds of international markets and restaurants so we are excited to go back and try other places as well. The interior is cozy with a sushi bar and small tables. There were a lot of families here because it's casual and the portion sizes are good. They have a robust menu with Japanese and Korean entrees and sushi. I ordered the Jap Chae which is a Korean dish of glass noodles, sauteed peppers and beef. This comes with all the amazing Korean sides of kimchi and other accoutrements. My favorite was a spiced cold potato and I also devoured the cucumbers. The serving size is unreal--I had to get a to-go box and ate this for like 3 days after! My husband ordered the chicken katsu which was also a good portion and he didn't eat all of it too. The women who were working there were so kind and came over to check on us several times. We would come back here since everything was great.

A little Japan in Nashville. Excellent food, friendly service and the ambiance reminds me of being in Japan. Enjoyed dinner with a friend visiting Nashville. Great place to meet for lunch or dinner. It's a quaint space but they have a nice long table adjoins an aquarium which would be great for group dining. Great date or work meeting spot as it is one of the few restaurants that does have music blasting so loud that you can't enjoy a conversation. The service was excellent. It was akin to enjoying dinner at someone's home. They assisted helping us choose our dishes. We both got the Bento boxes as they include a sample of everything. Great option if you are new to Japanese cuisine. They food was served quickly, hot , lots of flavor and tasted delicious. Lots of food for the price. Enjoyed leftovers the next day. Highly recommend giving it a try. Bonus - lots of free parking!

I dined at Midori for lunch on Thursday, March 11, 2021 around noon. I've been to this restaurant only twice and I can say that this restaurant offers the best of both worlds when it comes to delivering quality Japanese and Korean dishes. I'm usually hesitant about small fusion restaurants that have large expansive menus simply because they often focus too much on variety over quality and more so than they can handle. However, I think Midori respects the Japanese and Korean cuisines and can pull off the Asian fusion menu with above average quality.Food: I think the sushi rolls were average. I think it was to be expected considering there was only one sushi chef at the time. In another time that I have visited, the server notified us that there would be a 45 minute wait on sushi, which is absurd if you're planning to eat a lot of sushi. So be aware. However, other main food items were pretty good. The bento eel box is a simple dish that is rich in eel sauce, which I thought can be overwhelming. The kimchi pork stir fry with tofu is a big portion I'd recommend sharing! Flavor-wise, I thought it was a balanced dish as the cool tofu complimented well with the hot and spicy pork and kimchi. Sunomono salad was a refreshing started and the squid was fresh and had a good texture. Service: Very friendly. I just wish there was someone helping the sushi chef out to cut the wait time on the sushi orders. He was very friendly and offered a complimentary avocado dish for my infant child. Waters were refilled adequately. Overall, Midori is an excellent recommendation for both Japanese and Korean cuisines.

The food is great. Family run serving food from their Korean heritage. I think they expanded their menu to include Japenese food to expand their customer base.We stuck to the Korean dish side of the menu but their sushi is very popular. More Korean sides than I have had at any other location.Everyone is hard-working but they can be slow checking on tables to get orders. (Once your order is in, it will be prepared promptly.)
