Boyfriend and I recently had our five year anniversary dinner date here. I was sure to make a reservation and it's good thing I did because the place was packed to the brim. Throughout our dinner (we were sat right behind the host stand), we were sitting there just watching parties of eight waltzing in there thinking they were going to get seated right away on a busy Saturday evening in late July. The place is stunning, with a modern interior and views of the harbor and the Boston skyline. As previously mentioned it was very busy, so keep in mind that it can get pretty loud.Boyfriend got an espresso martini, as well as a small glass of whiskey. The martini was definitely one of the strongest ones I've had in terms of espresso flavor. I ordered a glass of wine. There was a little bit of a hiccup with forgetting to bring the wine at first; we asked about it when our first appetizer came out and I still hadn't received it, but they quickly made up for it and offered the first glass on the house. Granted it was extremely busy, the staff was still rocking it and providing great service and making things right. As for the food, everything was fantastic. Complimentary bread came out warm and was served alongside some of the cleanest and best tasting olive oil I've had thus far. For my appetizer I got the Caesar salad; I didn't know that such a simple salad could taste as delicious as this one, I practically cleaned the plate. Boyfriend wanted arancini, so we got those as well. Nice and crispy outside and soft in the middle. We knew we had to get pasta for our entrees, since the focus here is on making fresh pasta by hand. I opted for the paccheri bolognese, as I was intrigued by this dish because their version includes broccoli rabe, which I've never seen in a bolognese before. It turned out to be delicious, as the bitterness of the broccoli rabe almost counters the sweetness of the ground pork and the tomato. Boyfriend got the gnocchi cacio e pepe, and let's be real, this dish was the real star of the show. The gnocchi here is ricotta based, which makes them super soft and pillowy, it's as if you're biting into a cloud. Upon ordering, our server told us that these were two of his favorite dishes, and I can certainly see why.Normally I like to get tiramisu for dessert at an Italian restaurant, but we had already consumed an exorbitant amount of food, so we opted for a slightly smaller and lighter dessert since we still really wanted to try something off the dessert menu. We each finished off with a scoop of gelato; refreshing raspberry sorbetto for me, and simple vanilla for the boyfriend. Overall, this place is a wonderful addition to East Boston. The location is great and very easy to get to by public transit. If you're looking to go here for a special occasion like we did, be sure to make a reservation to ensure you'll get in, especially if it's on the weekend. I hope to be able to return at some point when it's not quite as busy to try the pizza and some other items, maybe do that while sitting at the bar with a couple of drinks. But until then, I'll be dreaming about those pasta dishes, especially that gnocchi.

Came here with reservations for 4 on a Sunday evening and we were seated pretty quickly. The view from this restaurant is truly stunning - made the ambiance all the more pleasant with the modern and finished interior as well. Service was pretty fast - arguably too speedy, surprisingly. Food came out very quickly which made the meal feel a bit rushed honestly, but better than too slow. Water refills were on the slower side though. The food was pretty delicious - price a bit high, but for the vibes of the restaurant, it matched the expectation there. I enjoyed the clam pizza the most - we all shared a bit of each dish and we weren't disappointed. The only thing I wish for was bigger serving sizes - definitely left feeling still a bit hungry. Overall, the food was really nice and the ambiance was super pleasant. I'd be happy to come back in the future to try some of their other food and enjoy the views again - thanks, Mida!

Really wish this was a 5 stars. But after multiple attempts, we always bump into the same problem. Service is just bad. It's such a disappointment because the food is great, the view is absolutely amazing and pricing is reasonable. Whereas we make a reservation or seat at the bar, if we are 2 or 8, we always get bad service. Drinks are not consistent from the bar either (when we get them, it has happened twice we never got our drinks). To the BOH, you deserve 5. To the FOH, I hope things change.

Wow this has to be one of the nicest restaurants in Boston. The panoramic harbor view is stunning and the restaurant architecture is cool & modern. This makes such a good date night, especially if you take the ferry to Lewis wharf to get here! On top of the looks, the food is amazing. The aranchini and mussels are both great. The star of the show would have to be the mushroom risotto though, soooo incredible! Easy five stars from me.

MIDA in Eastie provides a top-notch service & experience! From the moment we walked in, I was amazed by the upscale & classy design of the interior. The interior stands alone, but wow does the view seal the deal!We started off by asking for a red & white suggestion, as the majority of the wines on their list were foreign to us. Our waiter was knowledgeable & expressed that he soaked in all this information from the owner. He didn't steer us wrong! We chose to try their mussels, as well. The red wine sauce that the mussels sit in was DELICIOUS. Perfect for dipping bread in to. We really enjoyed the complimentary foccia sent to our table since we were celebrating a birthday. Our pasta dishes were both unique, unexpected, upscale, and delicious. I usually go for a homemade, hearty, pasta if getting Italian, but this was perfect for the night. We completed the night with complimentary limoncello, as well! With a $106 bill, excellent service & spectacular views, I'd suggest MIDA to anyone!

I've loved my experiences at the South End and Newton locations of MIDA, so I was excited to visit this latest location. The interior, as well as the view of the waterfront are absolutely stunning, and there are tables outside for when the weather gets warmer. We made a reservation for 4 on a Sunday evening and the place was packed. There are tables for all sorts of group sizes, as well as seating at the bar. The service was quick and friendly. We split the North Shore Fritto Misto, Paccheri Bolognese, Clam Pie, and Sausage Pizza. This was a good amount of food for the four of us, and I even had trouble finishing my last slice of pizza. The prices are fair, and I was even surprised that we didn't pay more. Overall, MIDA has become one of my favorite local franchises, and I'll definitely be back to enjoy a great meal and (when the time comes) warm weather.

Walking into this restaurant, you are immediately struck by the breathtaking view of the city skyline -The Servicethe exceptional service. Our server, Molly, was super attentive and went out of her way to ensure that we had a great dining experience. She made sure we put in our orders before the kitchen closed, and checked in on us throughout the meal to make sure everything was to our liking.- FOOD -The mussels are a must-try appetizer, with a generous portion size that is perfect for sharing. They are cooked to perfection, tender and flavorful, and served with a delicious sauce that will leave you craving more.-but I must say, the pizza is the star of the show. but I must say, the pizza is the star of the show!!!I highly recommend this restaurant to everyone I meet looking for a delicious meal in a beautiful setting - it truly is a gem in the heart of the city.

MIDA was a 10 out of 10!!I been wanting to try this restaurant as they classified it one of the best pasta places in the Boston area. They have different locations but the one me and my friend went to was the one in East Boston due to their beautiful view of the Boston Harbor. When arrived, we were struggling to find parking. The area has various street parking but it's full of cars. The best option was the parking garage on Lewis st. Parking for 0-3 hours was only 10$. Once parked we made our way to the restaurant which is located right on the harbor. They do not only offer bar sitting and indoor sitting, but they also have outdoor sitting. Due to the windy weather we made a reservation for indoor seating.Upon arrival the server who was accommodating us was very lovely and nice. The ambiance was great, the music is very soft if the background s and not overpowering creating a very calm and relaxing ambiance. Our server was lovely and briefly explained the menu to us. For appetizers we opted for the focaccia and the arancini. The portion of the focaccia was bigger then I expected from other yelp reviewers' pictures. The Arancini, on the other hand were more on the smaller size. The focaccia bread tasted very good, as it had a back taste of olive oil and chili flakes. The Arancini were also delicious but more on the cheesy side. For entrees we ordered the gnocchi caico e Pepe and the short rib lasagna. My only complaint would be that the portion for the gnocchi was significantly smaller compared to the lasagna. The gnocchi tasted freshly made but the taste of the black pepper was a little overpowering but it was nevertheless delicious. The lasagna was of a very generous portion and it had a decent piece of short rib right in the middle of it. The lasagna tasted very good and it was perfectly seasoned. The part I loved the most about my evening at MIDA was the splendid Boston view and the incredible interior design which made the ambiance very enjoyable. This is a restaurant I will love to come back to and try other menu items.
