Overall: what stands out about this place is their creativity to push the boundaries. They have classics but you definitely should come to try their uniqueness. Food: caneles *chefs kiss*. Don't get dissuaded by the "burnt" exterior. It's a byproduct of the copper molds used that give it that color! In fact it accentuates the caramelized taste and adds incredibly to the custard like interior. The cool goods they have that are off the beaten path include a passion fruit Madeline. You can tell they use real passion fruit by the seeds embedded into the Madeline but the best part is how the seeds aren't sour like usual. Service: was only a grab and go since it's a tiny spot but it's incredibly quick! The line moves very fast so don't feel discouraged.

What a lovely little gem--so glad there's great coffee and breakfast treats within walking distance in East Somerville. Friendly, charming staff even when there's a line out the door (which there often is during peak times).Outstanding cold brew and espresso with their homemade syrups are a must-try. Especially their caramel! My favorite pastries are their ham and gruyere and lately I like the chorizo and onion even more.Stop by!

I come here regularly and have been a fan since day 1! This is one of the best bakeries in the Medford/Cambridge/Somerville area and they have some really good croissants here if you stop by right when they open.Personal favorite items of mine here are their chorizo croissant (flaky, crackling, savory goodness), pain au chocolat (classic!), and their cream cheese guava roll (yum!). See you tomorrow?

Came by here because of the reviews! Nice little bakery/cafe in Somerville. There's some seating outside. I got the almond croissant and it was just okay! I think there was a lack of almonds and it didn't have much crunch/flakiness on the outside. The matcha did not have any matcha flavor so I would not get again. The workers were really nice and quick with service. There's some street parking

My friends recommended that I should go here for some time now and I finally made it. I came here around 9:30am on a Sunday. There was a short line about 6 couples in front of me. This is more of a to-go/takeaway spot. Inside is very small with one window table that can fit about 2-3 ppl while standing, the other window table is used for the beverage condiments and napkins, outside in front of each window though are benches you can sit on if you are eager to start eating these yummy pastries. While standing in line you can smell the delicious pastries made. Ordering was easy, everything if not most items were in a showcase with labels. We ordered the croissant beurre (butter croissant), cannelé, pain suisse and the guava roll. The staff was really nice with helping us decide what pastries to choose that were new to us. Unfortunately by the time we got home we noticed the guava roll was missing from our order so I called to explain that to them and they were able to refund it. Other than that little hiccup, I enjoyed all the pastries we got. They were out of the pistachio croissant which is what I was looking forward to the most, so they said next time to call ahead or order online the day before after 5pm and they'll have it reserved.. this goes for any of the pastries but keep in mind the online order is a $10 minimum. So I can't wait to get that next time as well as my guava roll!

I was excited to try this bakery, and it didn't disappoint! At Friday around 8am there was no line outside and plenty of items on display. I ordered the almond croissant, and wow was it was amazing. Buttery and flaky with a generous, even layer of frangipane throughout. I really appreciate how they make sure to fill even the ends of the almond croissant with a liberal amount of filling (oftentimes, I've found that bakeries only place filling towards the middle of the croissant). There's no seating inside, but there are some benches outside if you want to enjoy your pastries immediately. I recommend toasting them at home first - it was delicious warmed up!

As an ex-big law alumna myself, I can appreciate the trajectory of Thomas, the owner of Michette who exited the big law life and is now making some of the best croissants and pastries I've had. Pro-tip: come here early on the weekends to avoid the lines and also snap up the more popular offerings before they run out. We didn't get a chance to try either the chocolate croissant or the chocolate almond croissant but ...Just look at the beautiful layers in the plain croissant and the pain suisse. I was eating elsewhere soon so wanted to conserve stomach space and originally planned to consume just half of my croissant. Well. Talk about a fool's errand. It was gone in a few bites. Nice, flaky, lots of chew in the inner soft part, crumbs everywhere (as it should be). I think the obvious comparison is Colette - Colette's version is a tad less heavy on the butter, a little more airy. Both are ones I'd eat again without question. I'll be back to try the focaccia, which looked amazing. It's times like these where I wish we had better options in Newton and also where I'm kind of glad I need to go out of my way to get these goodies. Street parking only, have to download the Park app or bring quarters.

Nice spot in East Somerville, had a line out the door on a Saturday morning, no AC in the building and the staff wasn't overly cheerful nor rude, cortado was good and pasties were standard. Would go back and give us another go but probably get some bread next time.

I cannot stress this enough. GET HERE EARLY. They are small batch right now and their stuff is FANTASTIC meaning people EAT IT UP. Everything I've had here has been fabulous. There is nothing like French lamination. Michette is on to something here! PS very nice staff and tasty cold brew

Wonderful fresh pastries and friendly staff and owner. Lamination was lovely and their Guava Roll is delicious. Great spot in East Somerville not far from the Assembly Row and Sullivan Square orange line stations. Worth a trip.
