Mi patria Mexican Restaurant

We have been here several times for lunch. Always great food and experience. They have a relaxing ambiance and it's convenient to where we live.

Being newly renovated, it is very clean inside. Nice bar with several TVs to watch sports. The server we had may have been having an off day. Let's start off with the bad. - Friend ordered the Fiesta Nachos steak with extra cheese and Jalapeños. Fiesta nachos described on the menu is: Tortilla chips topped with whole black beans, rice & your choice of meat. Then topped with cheese dip, sour cream, pico de gallo & fresh jalapeño. Our server brings it out and it's just tortilla chips, cheese and jalapeños on the plate. Nothing else.. We told the server that we ordered the Fiesta Nachos with steak, extra cheese and extra jalapeños. She took it and brought it back and all they did was add steak on top, nothing else. The server asked us how we wanted it. So we said the same order and showed her the description on the menu. So she takes it back and 10 minutes later the correct order comes out. By this time the people in our group of 4 is already halfway through their meals.-charros frijoles-Was pretty bland and just honestly tasted like bean water. I don't know if it was the batch for that day. The GoodShots and alcoholic drinks were very good. Had a double Michealada with Pacifico. Was one of the tastiest in town. House margaritas were good. The Fiesta nachos were good after being corrected. The rest of the group enjoyed their food. Great prices too.Maybe it's just the grand opening. Idk. Hopefully the kinks get worked out soon.

My family and I went here yesterday for Mother's Day. Start off hostess gets all the stars. Sweet and very nice young lady. If she had been the server too we would've had a win - win situation. However, that wasn't the case. We get this girl who definitely didn't want to be there. She gets the drink order wrong immediately. Then she takes the order and when you order meat, seriously you ask the customer how you would like that meat. She failed on that. Then she served everyone their food and I'm still sitting there 10 minutes later no explanation on why my food is taking so long, but she passed me like 3 times. No eye contact no explanation no nothing. Then I get my steak, raw (I order med well, after flagging her down)! How could that take 10 minutes longer?!? Then the knife! Oh, the bonus here. I thought this was a new restaurant. You know Applebee's moved out so this restaurant moved in. Like a few months ago, if that. The knife was dull, crappy thing with no saws on it at all. I couldn't have cut a potato with it. What are they scared of I was going to hurt my meat? The forks were thin and 10 cent junk. Honestly a restaurant that just opened. Then we get the bill. We are billed for items we didn't get ever, we ordered them but everyone seeing what I just went through decided I guess to not say anything. So she had to take the bill back and get that item taken off. For a new restaurant you expect more. This was pathetic. Honestly, I took the steak home and threw it in my air fryer and cooked it. That's how the dog and I had dinner. On Mother's Day, this is how we spent it. Would I ever go back. If I did, I would make sure my server wasn't rude and uncaring and definitely would bring my own pocket knife so I could cut my meat if needed. I'm doubtful I will go back. There are definitely more restaurants around. Ambiance, the same ceiling tiles were in there when Applebees was there. This restaurant didn't upgrade any thing except move their very much advertised benches. Everything had the name on it. They definitely don't want you to forget where you went. I am going to really try my best to though. The bathroom were the same if not worst from when Applebee's had it.Like I said the hostess was awesome. Great young lady and very happy and seated everyone immediately. Went down hill from there.

Nice place, clean, decor was good, service was great, food was excellent. We keep looking for great Mexican in the Boro (we come from Nevada originally) and we think we found it. Everything was very well prepared and it is nice that they serve a taco on a separate dish so it doesn't get soggy from the sauces on the stuffed poblano and enchilada. Staff were quite friendly and attentive. Highly recommend Mi patria!

Mi Patria has spruced up the old Applebee's into a light, bright, clean, and festive restaurant. Our service was fantastic! We were seated quickly and my tea glass was never neglected. Food came out promptly. Good prices, too. Outside seating is available and parking is ample. Two things that makes them rise above the rest food-wise: Sweet tea was excellent (and you don't get excellent sweet tea just everywhere), and the salsa was fresh and among the best in town! Definitely will return!

Delicious chille rellenos!! Orderd through Door dash so I can't describe the ambience or service. The food speaks for itself. Perfectly packaged. Amazing!

Second time to the new location on Rutherford and it's been excellent both times. Salsa is fresh and delicious. The burritos were hot and the sour cream cold just like it should be.

Wow! Great food and excellent service! They recently opened in the old Applebees location. It's beautiful inside and there is outdoor seating. I ordered from the combination menu and got the Chile Poblano and the Beef Enchilada. Both were excellent! Be careful as the plates come out smoking hot and you could burn yourself if you're not careful. Salsa and chips were very good. We also ordered the cheese dip which was delicious. I highly recommend this location.

I have been to this place a couple of times and I must say it's pretty good. This place is located in the Southside of Murfreesboro right next to Cobalt Row and across from a Walmart and also many other businesses around there so if you ever are in need of some good Mexican food then this is the place. The inside of the restaurant to me reminds me almost like going into the nightclub with its loud music,big tvs and then all these tables out in the open or it reminded me of an old fashioned bar and grill that I had been to in my lifetime so that was cool. Now on to the food itself the food itself here is pretty good I've ordered the al pastor tacos here and I must say the version of these tacos here are very interesting because they use it with the al pastor and I've never had chorizo on a taco I've had chorizo con huevos but never like this and I must say they were pretty good also i love how friendly the people are here to and the creative hairstyles they have as well. Why am I giving this a 4 star review and not a five star review might you all be asking well I wish they had jugo de piña as one of the Agua fresca choices and their drinking cups that they give you with your meal are too huge its like they want people to get drunk quicker here o well though it is what is. The food is excellent and the service is very good as well. The only downfall is they have no N/A beer for those who are driving or who no longer drink! Lots of bars are now serving N/A beer and they should jump on board!
