Mi Patio Mexican Food

Came here with a friend. This was my first time but probably not my last. Chips and salsa made in-house and are both good on their on. For my entrée I went with the Fish taco plate. The food was fresh and flavorful. I was sure I'd need a take home box because the portions were so generous. I am both ashamed and proud to say there was nothing left.

This place is right smack dab in the middle of my hood, so when my neighbor's birthday rolled around and we needed a caterer, I thought of Mi Patio.Here's the lowdown: I went in there on the Thursday before Memorial Day to find out about platters, etc. Stephanous and Stephanie were so patient and kind, as I asked a bajillion questions, including the big one: "Can you accommodate us if we order for Saturday?" (b/c it's the Sat on a major holiday!) Their answer? "Absolutely." Truth be told, I haven't eaten at Mi Patio in years & so I ordered a quick side of guacamole to go. I am incredible PICKY, or should I say, "SELECTIVE!" about my guac. Some places "water" it down with too much sour cream, onions and/or tomatoes, that take away from the beauty of the avocados flavor.I plunged my chips into that little portion of green goodness & oh my! Their guacamole is so PURE!!! Meaning it's avocados, some spices and that's IT. Based on their guacamole alone, I give this place five stars.Also, we ended up having a pot luck for friend's birthday, but still: BIG thank you to Stephanous/Stephanie for their hospitality! They definitely planted the seeds for where I can order food for future events. And need to get my girls to go here for a much needed Happy Hour Hangout!

We happened to be at a hotel nearby and I was craving Mexican food so we decided to take a chance on this place. It was a Saturday night and they got us seated right away! The chips and salsa were AMAZING. The chips were thin & crispy and the salsa was just a touch of spice but not too much! SO. GOOD. I got the prickly pear margarita. This place has margaritas on the rocks for $4.19, all day every day! I ordered a combo meal and the cheese enchilada was my favorite part of my meal. Also-our server was Tammie and she provided the BEST experience. Tammie has been there since 1988 and she was so passionate about her job. We truly enjoyed her telling us history of the restaurant. I always enjoy a server who loves her job! This place was so good and we will be back!

Definitely a 4 1/2 if i could give it, the manager and bartender where definitely very accommodating on my request to substitute on a combo plate adding red chile to my Chile Relleno, which was stuffed with cheese ,also added meat to my enchilada, chips were fresh and salsa was robust and musty as i like. Been almost 13 yrs since i last been here moved away came back in 2020. The margarita was pretty weak, and the cost was a little steep (30$ including extras and Marg.) But overall great experience watching college football at the bar.

The Guac Taco Salad is one of my favorites. It was able to customize it with without the shell! SO good. The service here is amazing by the way. If you are in the area you need to stop in!

One of the best spots in the Valley, always delicious and old fashioned. Total Sonoran comfort food.

Full disclosure-- we didn't eat. We went in and it smelled like a sewer. It was bad. My friend was upset enough by it that she wanted to leave, even though we'd been seated, so we did. I'm guessing it's a city problem rather than a Mi Patio problem-- but sadly it becomes their problem.

Normally go here all the time, great chips and salsa and normally great food but what is with the size of this burrito? #102 that was also supposed to be enchilada style, which is $1.75 extra, this...this for $17. Sad. THE TACO IS ALMOST THE SAME SIZE!

I took out-of-towners here for some authentic Mexican food and it did not disappoint! We were a party of six, and we went on a Sunday at 11, right before the lunch rush, so we were seated immediately. The vibe is colorful, festive, loud, and familial, so you can come with a group and have a fun time. The kind waiter brought out chips and guacamole on the house, which was so nice. I ordered the carne asada picado burro, which comes with a chickpea salad if you wanna keep it healthy! You can get it Christmas-style, with lots of cheese. It has lots of flavor and meat. The prices are $10-20, which is super reasonable for this part of town and the amount of food you get. I recommend for reliable, authentic Mexican in a fun atmosphere!

Came to visit pheonix and wanted to try some authentic mexican food and our friend recommended this spot so came for dinner last night. It is a very low key, no frill restaurant. Ambiance was very relaxed and friendly. We were greeted right away and seated. Menu had a LOT of options that all sounded amazing. Dishes of people nearby all looked great too so was excited to try. They also came by quickly and gave us plenty of free chips and salsa which were fresh and absolutely delicious. They were awesome and gave us extra as well once we quickly finished them as well. I ordered combo #100 and my wife got the beef chimichanga. We also got the peach and mango margaritas which were both great. Our plates of food came soon. Food was hot and delicious. The portion sizes were great for the price as well. Overall, very nice restaurant with friendly and amazing staff. Food was great and they definitely make you feel at home and most importantly you definitely do not leave without being full.
