Mi Colombia Restaurant

When you pull up to the restaurant, you think Googlemaps directed you to the wrong location. Never fear! It is a restaurant located inside a gas station. Inside, the ambience does not get much better but we were there for the food and not the vibe.Our server did not speak a lot of English but it was fine. Between the three of us with our limited Spanish and her limited English, we were able to order just fine.We started off with empanadas. Super good--hot out of the fryer, crispy on the outside and flavor-packed meat on the inside. Yum. The only thing I wished we had was some type of sauce to dip them in. For entrees, we ordered the Ropa Vieja and Carne Asada. Both were very good. The portions were a good size--I could not finish my dinner. I also ordered an arepa as a side and I wish I had ordered five more.Great little hidden gem!

Saw there was another Colombian restaurant in Nashville, so naturally I had to go. Upon arrival, we completely missed the place. Heads up, this restaurant is inside of a gas station and the gas station is still open and running. There are Colombian flags outside and a bus painted like a chiva outside. The location itself weirded me out tbh. We were already there and quite honestly, thought la cucharita is right down the road if anything. I went with my mom and decided to split a plate. I'm glad we did because wow at the portions. Everything was delicious, but I think the ambiance really threw us off.

This was my second visit and I have rated it two stars for lack of consistently and poor sourcing and service. I don't appreciate being offered an item amd them being told it is not available. Not "sold out" but just, oh we don't have that in right now. This happened with my first drink choice. My party of 4 then ordered a mixed empanada appetizer and our meals. The empanadas came out luke warm. Such a disappointment! Nothing better than a piping hot and crispy empanada. (And they were all 1 type) Then we settled in for a looong wait. 30 mins later i asked if the waiter could check on our food. He apologized because they were short a cook. He then immediately brought our food. (?) The beans were cold on all the Paisa plates we ordered. I had ordered a breakfast meal (it was noon when we arrived) my scrambled eggs (huevos pericos) were stone cold. My "Calentado Traditional" (literally has hot in the name) was anything but. The bean, rice, sausage mixture was luke warm on outside and also cold on inside. This visit is reason enough to not return. Shame, the murals are very nice.Let me also say. I am Colombian. I visit frequently, Colombia that is. This is NOT "my" Colombia.

We stopped in for lunch at 1:30 on a Wednesday afternoon. There were a handful of table's available. The restaurant was very clean, including the restrooms. We ordered a couple entrees and soup. Everything was fresh. The meats were all juicy and tender with great flavor. Helpful staff.

Food was good. Restaurant was not busy, waitress was eager and friendly to take our order but after she brought our food to the table did not return to check on us until it was time to give us our bill. Was not impressed with the service but the food was fine. Don't care to go back again.

What a wonderful and authentic place. Loved the food. Very nice selection and everything was very fresh.The lady did not speak much English but was very friendly and accommodating great service

The most delicious bandeja paisa I've ever had! It was absolutely delicious and the staff was so lovely, wish this was a lot closer to me because I would come at least once a week!!

Really friendly staff, great service and great food. Don't let the outside appearance fool you. It may look like a gas station but the treasure waits inside. Great beef empanadas and fruit drinks.

Got the wrong order pollo con arroz but the arroz had vegetales and sausages it false advertising
