Mezza Luna

Randomly found Mezza Luna on Apple Maps. I was in search of some good pasta. We arrived a few minutes before they opened. The ambiance was nice and the service was great. Our server was very knowledgeable about the menu items. You should try their homemade noodles. The bread to start is chefs kiss!I had the fettuccine carbonara and my honey got the chicken Marsala. We will be visiting again to try more menu items soon!

We had an amazing time at Mezza Luna, enjoying the chicken parmesan and veal parmesan, both of which were incredibly delicious. Our server was super helpful with recommendations on food and wine, and attentive from start to finish. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough! The restaurant can get loud, making it difficult to hear your server or each other, but it is part of the neighborhood restaurant charm in my opinion!

One of my favorite places but.....I always get the salmon piccata. It's loaded with flavors for the salmon and pasta. Not this night. The salmon was overcooked and the pasta was bland. Surprising. Also the bread ahead of time was cut into little hard pieces and didn't soak up the oil and vinegar very well. I will come back and give it another try

My husband and I came here on an early Tuesday night before a Brave's game. It was our first time and we were delighted with the staff, quality of food, and speed of service. Our waiter, Ricky, was fast and efficient and made great recommendations. I ordered the eggplant parmigiana and it was the best I have eaten in Atlanta! My husband ordered the special, butternut squash ravioli with fried lobster. We also ordered calamari for an appetizer which was tasty. They also served complimentary cubed foccaccio which I thought was an interesting touch. Next time I am back, I will try dessert! This is a lovely place for date night or an evening with family. I would recommend reservations online as it is a small, intimate restaurant.

Went in for dinner on a recommendation. Very good and authentic Italian fare.The bruschetta was great with the right amount of olive oil and balsamic vinegar.It tried the broccolini and lobster soup. That was outstanding, you could always use more lobster of course.I went with the gnocchi alla vodka for my entree. It was rich but very good. The gnocchi was handmade in house and you could tell. The vodka sauce was creamy with a ton of flavor. The flavor of the sauce was enhanced with pancetta.We were too full to try dessert but everything else was excellent.

Came to Mezza Luna for the first time on a date. Smaller inside than I anticipated but gives very warm and cozy vibe. The menu was easily digestible and wasn't overwhelming which I loved. I came without reading the menu first and was able to easily choose what I wanted to eat. Our server was nice and attentive.I ordered the gnocchi which was actually pretty good and the portion size was great which was what I was worried about because a lot of Italian restaurants struggled with a decent portion size. Very favorable and would likely order this again however the chicken parm also looked good as well.One thing to note is, the restaurant is a bit loud. I think it's because it's smaller in size and conversations carry so it definitely was a bit loud but it wasn't unbearable.There's a lot attached to the restaurant but it's shared with a liquor store so first come first served

A 5 star experience awaits. Mezza Luna is a hidden gem and the undisputed champion of Italian food in Smyrna. The atmosphere is quaint, as the restaurant is somewhat small. The service is always fantastic. The staff is super knowledgeable when it comes to the food and beverage menu. There are always specials and something new going on. A must visit location.

We had a group lunch here today. Lobster bisque was delish. Eggplant it's usual fabulousness. Gosh I love this place!

I was in town for a few days getting some writing done and decided to stay in Marietta. My friend who lives in Atlanta suggested we meet up for dinner at Mezza Luna and so we made a reservation.Last minute she had to cancel but I was still hungry (a girls gotta eat) so made sure to order some take out. There's a reason that this place is called the best Italian in the state of Georgia. The pasta here is fresh and even though I didn't die in the in, the decor is quaint and feels like old world Italian. Definitely a cool spot to take a date for a romantic dinner.I ordered takeout directly through the Yelp app and then drove the 15 minutes over to the restaurant. Food was ready and waiting for me when I arrived. A full order of the papardelle bolognese, which is one of the most popular dishes, fed me for 2 days. And it was delicious. I mean you really can't beat fresh pasta. It was tender and delicate. The sauce is flavorful and well seasoned and came with just the right amount of additional parmesan and fresh herbs. They also provided a piece of their focaccia bread to go with my order. The bread was very soft and a little bit doughy to my liking but definitely was a nice addition when toasted a bit.Next time I'm in the area I fully intend to dine in to get the full experience.

I was really excited to try this place but not impressed at all . I truly think that you can judge an Italian restaurant solely on its bolognese and this place tasted comparable to chef boy r d. I was extremely disappointed that I didn't even finish my meal. I couldn't force it I also tried the seafood pasta with the white wine sauce which was pretty good. All in all, I probably will not return.
