According to my Yelp history, I've been eating here for over 10 years. Inflation has always been a thing, but thankfully the Meze Greek has still held onto to its quality food, friendly service, and at decent prices. Ambience and architecture: this is probably the sexiest Greek restaurant in San Diego...perhaps all of America actually. And Greece...I spent a week there once. Despite the crazy crowds of Comic Con, I wisely made a reservation a week in advance, so the 4 of us were seated promptly with little wait! Waitress was still energetic, professional, and friendly. $25 Gyro Plate...I know this is generic Greek, but it was a generous portion of that salty, meaty, moist, seasoned mixed meat that we all love. Came with some nice rice, veggies, pita, and yogurt sauce. $28 Salmon Plate...fresh salmon perfectly roasted, came with some nice rice, veggies, pita, and yogurt sauce. I'll be back!

We all had a blast with our friends at Meze and a huge part of it was because of our server Jen! She was so friendly and we all had a few laughs. The food was great, fantastic atmosphere and great people!

My friend recommended this place downtown and we had such a great time! There was a magician going from table to table to do fun tricks that made the experience all the more better.Food was delectable, the server forgot a couple of our items and had to mention it thinking that they just took longer to prepare. The highlight was the cheese set on fire and was excellent! The meat dolmades were probably my 2nd favorite item. For sure will return on a slower night!

Preface this that I went as part of a walking food tourFood: Was given 1/2 lamb quesadillas? Was good. Not a quesadilla and not a quesadilla. But would order again Drink: Greek sangria. Was closer to muddled wine. Would not order againThey put us in a room made for 10 when we were 15 despite the restaurant being mostly empty. But hot sauce was . Would return for the location, decor, hot sauce and to try more things.

En route to Petco and stopped but this friendly and welcoming Med Greek inspired menu.Hummus- a generous portion of smooth and garlicy accompanied with pickled vegetables and perfectly grilled slices of pita.Falafel Meze- another shareable dish of crisp outside and tender inside ball of goodness served with a side salad, pita and tahini.Grilled Manouri & Beet- a nice surprise of grilled manouri cheese served a top of a large salad and assortment of picked vegetables and beets; another shareable dish.Moussaka- Has better but still an ok version, just a little heavy handed on the cream sauce and too much cinnamon/nutmeg for my taste.Great service and atmosphere so a definite return in the near future.

Came here for a family birthday dinner on a Sunday evening. I will say, there were mixed reviews from our group of 8. Some people really liked the food, others said it was "just okay". Personally, I didn't think it was any better than any of the ordinary chain Mediterranean restaurants. The restaurant itself was very large, not very clean and very, very loud. They had club music blasting which didn't make for a great family meal. It was difficult to hear each other. The service was incredibly friendly, but unfortunately, equally slow. I ordered the falafel plate which was $25 and only included 5 pieces of falafel and a bunch of lettuce and tomato. No rice or any kind of side like the other plates came with. The falafel themselves were decent but I don't think the plate was worth $25. All in all, I wouldn't bother dealing with the parking and traffic of gas lamp for this place.

Traveling to downtown San Diego and need a place to dine? This Greek fusion restaurant was perfect for our party of 6 to try something different than our hotel food. Food came out super fast and dinner portions are large enough to share with another person. Everything we ordered was cooked just as it should and service was excellent. Located in the heart of Glasslamp Quarter with plenty of other food options. You know how I love grilled Octopus!

Food was ok. The chicken was delicious but the meat looked like it had a good sear but was raw. Wish I would have taken a picture.

Absolutely the best service in town. We were greeted by the hostess and seated, punctuality (definate a plus) immediately thereafter Effie (Server) greeted us an offered our party a much needed cocktail, follow by Meze famous spinach pie, greek salad. (Delicious) and fried cheese. The quality of service food and atmosphere was amazing- we will revisit and request Effie serve us. Charming young lady.kk
