Good service, but yikes. Never thought I could have a bad margherita, but this place proved me wrong. Little flavor, bitter, odd saltyness and viscosity, and plain in color - almost clear. Even a bottled pre-mix would'be been better than this. Not only that, but the fajita "steak" was tough, cold, and gristely. The only items which looked somewhat edible were the sShrimp Quesadillas and Chicken Fajitas which another couple were lucky enough to have ordered next to us.On the brighter side, though this was the worst Mexican food I've ever had in my entire life, I'm thankful that this was only the worst Mexican food I've ever had in my entire life.

We visited on a Sunday afternoon and carried out. We got the Taquitos al Pastor (street tacos) with steak and the Mezcal platter. It was quick service and less than 10 minutes to get our food. The tortilla chips were warm and tasty.A great convenient location, friendly service and yummy food.

Wonderful family run restaurant that's been around for years. We love taking the kids there and the food is great and not generic.

Ordered takeout twice from here this past week!Their customer service is always top notch, never had a bad experience in that regard. The food is always fresh and the flavors are pretty authentic for my Mexican born standards; also great portions and competitive pricing compared to other Mexican restaurants joints in this area.I've dine in a few times in the past and it's always quiet and a very chill ambiance from what I remember.

I meant to post this review right after eating here in June but couldn't remember the name until now. This place is unassuming and in a nice part of Kirkland. I had high hopes considering the name was so fancy and the location was in a good area. Its kind of divey and hole-in-the-wally, which can be a good sign but I was somewhat disappointed with the food. The inside is very small, not that bright or as nicely decorated as some of the other places in that same area but that did give me high hopes for the food. Sometimes places like this spend more money on quality ingredients than advertising and interior decoration. The service was extremely slow as they appear to be quite understaffed, which is hard on the staff as well as the patrons. There were maybe 3 people working? And only one waitress covering 6 or 7 tables that all had at least 2 people waiting. I remember I found it odd they had NO napkins available, no napkin dispenser and you get a single tiny napkin with your silverware. It was very hard to flag down the waitress to place the initial order, get more chips or salsa, order a drink or request a napkin.I felt bad for the people working but also disappointed that we had decided to dine in with such slow service. The food quality overall I would rate about 4 out of 10. I don't think I would order takeout from here or delivery after trying it. The prices were inline for other much nicer places in the area but the food did not match up. I'd say, skip it but they get 3 stars for the nice location in town and the fact the staff really seemed to be trying, there just weren't enough employees the day I went there. It was a weekday around dinner time.

I have about 5 "favorite" Mexican restaurants on the Eastside, but this is my favorite favorite. It IS low on ambience, I gotta' admit. But they make up for it with taste & service. This is a legit family owned & run place. They do carne asada *really* well. The shrimp dishes are juicy & (perfectly) salty and no tails! Also, you can sub beans and/or rice for veggies and the vegetables are delish! Super family friendly, too.

This is the best Mexican food I've had in the state of Washington. I was at an event at a near by apartment complex with a friend on evening two months ago. We decided to give this place a chance since we were hungry, it was a bit late in the evening (everything in WA closes so damned early)! The waiter told us they were closing soon, however, this amazing woman who also worked here invited us in and take a seat. She was an angel Goddess - she graciously took our orders, made recommendations and had a genuine kindness. And to top it all off - the food was kick-ass delicious. The have meat eaters and vegan / vegetarian options that I found completely satisfying. I would drive all the way here (from the Shoreline area) in a freakin' heartbeat. I highly recommend this place - I'm disappointed I didn't get the Goddess' name otherwise I would sing her praises by her name.

I like this place, and I had planned to just drop in for lunch and write a nice review for it. I mean, the food is tasty, and it's a small family run business. I have been here many times and enjoyed it. But today they did something inexcusable and potentially deadly for me.I ordered the chile relleno plate. To my great surprise, it came out with guacamole on it. Nothing on the menu about that, and I am deathly allergic to avocado (yes, that's a crappy thing to be allergic to because I used to love guacamole). I told them this and asked for a plate remade without it.Now, a restaurant must make a new plate in this situation. Simply scraping off the guac and re-serving the same plate is not acceptable. Residue--even of the oil from the avocado--can be on the food or plate under where the guac was. But scrape and re-serve is exactly what Mezcal did today. That left me having to eat from just part of the plate--far away from where the guac had been. And they didn't even do a good job removing it anyway--see the photo. And today the rice was dry in places to the point of being crunchy. That rice should never have been served. So, at this point I don't know if I'll ever come back here. I like the food, but their response to my allergy was completely unacceptable and could have killed me. If there wasn't that visible guac residue, I might have assumed this was a new plate and dove in completely--and possibly fatally. Not cool.

I've been here many times over the years, and my favourite thing about this place is their salsa bar. They have a variety of salsas of varying spiciness and types for you to try. Yum!Most recently, I ordered the camarones fajitas and a margarita. Both were delightful. The house-made chips and salsa at the table were difficult to stop eating- so good! Our waitress was helpful and sweet. The place was fairly empty, but it was comfortable and the food hit the spot.
