MexiCuban Restaurant & Lounge

I had been wanting to take my teen and spouse here, I knew the cubano was amazing because I had prior experience at their food truck. We ordered aztec lasagna, puffy shrimp and pineapple tacos and a cubano! All delicious, cubanoand aztec lasagna were truly amazing in flavor, tacos great too. Also tried the blood orange margarita and it was great. The decor, music, ambiance is amazingly wonderful as well! Great date place!!

The food was good. Definitely not worth the price! The only thing that stood out was the fluffy tacos. If you come here, don't get the Baja chicken salad, it didn't taste like anything, and the sandwich was just the same taste over and over. One thing that I can say though, is the pineapple coconut lemonade is AMAZING, it's a must if you come here. The atmosphere is comfortable, but the music was a little too loud. The service was understanding, but could have been a little warmer. I hope that this restaurant can continue to change for the better, and wish it luck.

This place is incredible. Absolutely love their food here and i cant wait to come back and try everything else. Service here was excellent and the ambiance inside is really nice. This feels like a very upscale restaurant in downtown bellevue and im so glad they open this in renton.Lets start with the drinks, we ordered the mezcal paloma and pina colada. Both drinks are absolutely amazing! For the food, we got the tulum steak and ropa vieja. Excellent, sooo much flavor. Portion is perfectCant wait to come back here and try their fluffy tacos!!

My comadre and I just had brunch here and it was SO GOOD! The buffet spread had so many delicious fresh options and amazing fresh chiles to top everything off. Gaby our server was so gracious and attentive. The drinks were also perfectly balanced and refreshing. Also must mention the handmade Tortillas that put everything up a notch, so delicious. We can't wait to go back with more friends and family. Also the ambiance is so calm, cheery and relaxing. So happy Mexicuban is in Renton!

We came as a party of 2 on Wednesday night at 7:45 PM. We were able to be seated right away, and we enjoyed the view of the bar. We spent our time picking a tequila to try a shot of as we saw a few bottles we did not recognize. We ordered two cocktails-the Chi Le Gusta and the Lychee Guava Mezcalita. Both were wonderful-the Chi Le Gusta is spicy! It came with a roasted jalapeño and was delightfully smoky. I could have had many of these. The Lychee Guava mezcalita was very sweet-a little too sweet for me but still very good.We split the Cochinita Pibil, which was delicious. The slow cooked pork with the flakiness of the deep fried corn tortillas was wonderful. I loved their rice blend that this came with as well.My favorite was the Lasagna Azteca-this was smoky, saucy, savory and hearty. I would order this again in a heartbeat. The flavor and the texture was perfect. We also requested hot sauce. They brought us two made in house-their house made habanero hot sauce packed quite a punch, but I loved it. I felt the heat for awhile but in a good way. Their house red sauce was great too, but the habanero was my favorite.We ended the night with a shot of Insolito Tequila, which we enjoyed at the bar. I loved their flavors and their ambiance-I can't wait to come back!

My friend told me about this place, so I gotta try it. I believe they just recently open. We were the first customers that day so it's pretty empty. Nobody at the hostess desk, so we kinda have to peek our head in to the bar/dining area.We ordered:Croquetos Don moleJalapeno pork belly toast- not spicy at allArrachera fluffy tacos Mezcal flights - too strong for me, not my kind of drinkOverall food is very nice and flavourful. The first time I had Mexicuban was at an event catered by their catering-only White Center location. It was AMAZING and I was so excited when I found out about the walk in location in Renton. It lived up to the hype and beyond. I headed there with 3 of my friends and we each tried a different cocktail flight. The food was great, we each had something different and we shared chips and salsas that were authentic and had a hot personality to them. I can't wait to go back! I would be a regular here if I didn't live 30 minutes away :)

We came here for a ladies night / belated birthday and it was great!!! We didn't say anything about it being for my bday but the staff was so attentive they provided a complementary slice of cake.The rice had a unique twist and was wonderful! I loved the empanada appetizer. The appetizer was on happy hour special for $10 - GREAT deal!!!The flight was fun to try once but I wasn't sure what each of the flavors were and many were not my cup of tea. However they were well made and I would gladly try another cocktail next visit. A friend ordered the coconut margarita that seemed popular but not quite her jam either but was $10 on happy hour, so a great deal. Definitely inclined to come back and try other options during happy hour ;)The overall ambiance was great with a giant comfortable cushion and TVs everywhere, for those interested.

BRUNCH BUFFETT!!! Enjoyed the morning with family and friends today. Enjoyed some basic American classics and fruit with great MexiCuban creations. Food was fresh (fresh tortillas made whole we were there) and the service was given well with a smile. Thanks! We will be back!PS: adding a new note ... Decided to finally try this place with a friend on a Friday night. It wasn't as busy or lively as I thought it would be but it was still nice to have a more chill environment to enjoy after work at the end of the week. The ambience and interior is really nice and sets the mood for the whole place. As soon as we got there, we were greeted by a friendly host and sat down at a booth. We started off by ordering a Margarita flight which was $25 for four drinks. The presentation for these was super cute and picture worthy. My favorite flavor was the strawberry margarita. We then ordered our entrées. I ordered the Tulum steak, and my friend ordered the Ropa Vieja. Both dishes tasted amazing, and my steak was cooked perfectly. It was a good price for what you get on the plate. I got rice, Tostones, avocado, and beans with my steak. They had a lady in the back making handmade tortillas. Out of all the handmade tortillas in restaurants that I've tried, these were made the most authentically and just the way I like them. They weren't too thick and had a hint of salt.Overall we had a great time and the service was top tier. I'll be coming back and brining others! PS I need the tortilla lady's number! lol
