A great neighborhood, no frills sit-down or takeout joint. Carne asada and house-mde chips always great, other food is good in general, but skip the chewy fried ice cream and dry chocolate cake. Service is friendly and prompt.

Best Mexican food in Bridgeport. Don't be fooled by imitators. The steak is some of the most tender you'll ever find on a tortilla. I prefer to eat a la carte. Two steak tacos and one pepper steak taco served with chips and soup is all I need. Burritos are big. Staff is very nice.

On March 4, 2022 I ordered Menudo from Mexico Steak House. Within 24 hours I had running and uncontrollable diarrhea for five days. The first two days I was also throwing up. Today March 10th is the first day that I am back to normal. My recommendation is that the owner monitors the preparation ,refrigeration and food handling.Does the owner have the required City of Chicago certified food service sanitation manager training.The cashier was my waitress and she stated she was the manager.BEWARE!
