Mexcelente

I have been coming here since the first month they opened. This is by far one of my favorite Mexican food restaurants. I really like the baconito breakfast burrito (add pico, trust me). They have a great mix of hot sauce, the spicy green is my favorite for sure. They also have amazing carne asada and everyone who works here is very nice and happy to help. One last tip, get the cookie! It's home made and such a great treat after a delicious meal.

The food was fresh and not greasy. The staff was truly amazing. A breath of fresh air. We will be back.

This place is the most amazing Mexican food I've had in many many moons. Had the vegetarian breakfast burrito. Absolutely delicious. Juicy as can be , totally finger liking good. You know that saying if it doesn't end up all over the place, it doesn't belong in your face! This is the place for you. My husband got the Alanbre burrito. It is Carne asada and yummy fajitas goods! Made me dool, but I was very much into my own. The big plus the owners are veterans and treat everyone like a member of their family.

Not badMexcelente is a small, family run business. The food is fresh, they build everything on the menu custom just for you. A very tex mex Chipotle style restaurantOn this visit we shared a few tacos and some nachos. The flavor was good however I wish the food was hotter.Customer service is amazing - they greet you when you come in and are always happy to see you. Good choice for a quick bite to eat.

No flavor no salt no pepper very bland Prices way too high ! I will NOT be back ! Staff was very nice

The food didn't taste awful, but it didn't taste great. It was lacking. The person who was there. The older lady had kind of an attitude. I could tell she was kind of halfway, rolling her eyes at me and getting irritated with me. Then she asked for sour cream and guacamole. She said she was out of guacamole. She would make some she never brought it to my table. But I don't know if she was having a bad day or what her problem was but I wasn't feeling there so I feel like that was overpriced for the taste of it so I definitely won't be going back there again.

Sorry to say, one visit and done with this restaurant. Stopped in for breakfast after my grocery shopping because I saw the their "breakfast served all day" sign. Got the jefe breakfast burrito and the hammy in a bowl and nothing else for total of $28 after taxes. The servings are small and there is no flavor, salsa included. Friendly service, no one in the restaurant, made food to order wasn't long but if there were other customers you may have a decent wait for food.

Mexcelente is a nice small family ran Mexican Restaurant located in North Phoenix. They offer tacos, burritos, nachos, bowls, quesadillas, tostadas with choices of 9 proteins (one is cactus). It's casual. You order at the counter and then they top you up Chipotle Style. You pay and get your drink and seat yourself type of place. The place appears to be very clean and everyone there is very friendly and helpful. We ordered between us 6 of the nine tacos that they offer. We didn't pick flour or corn shell and got white corn tortillas as the default. The tacos are bigger than street tacos and seem medium sized and were very well packed. Just like most places some days some are better than others. Today we thought the chicken tinga and the grilled chicken were the best of what we tried. Both were flavorful and moist. The other thing that stands out here are the sauces they offer and very flavorful and the hot really is almost nuclear. I advise if you are brave to do hot sauce here is to ask them to only dab the taco lightly with the hot sauce because they put far more on mine that I can really take. I think the flour tortillas might hold up better than the corn tortillas here. The corn tortillas are very tasty but are very thin and fall apart while you are eating them.Three starts is a positive rating on Yelp and translates to A-OK. Parking is easy because they are in a strip mall with a big parking lot.

Great taco Tuesday selections. Food is amazing. Great deals also for the quality food that they serve.

Attempted to go to this place because of the reviews. Completely disappointed. Bland tacos! The rice was crunchy and bland and the pinto beans did not seem cooked. Any of the bertos are 5 stars compared to this place.Nice people and clean place though. Their Diablo sauce was amazing and full of flavor.
