TLDR: Service was okay, food was good and portions were huge, tons of seating. The service was just alright. Waitress took our order but was not terribly friendly. Not really a big deal but for some reason it was notable at the time.The food was good. Breakfast fare, biscuits and gravy, French toast, omelet, etc. Salt and pepper were a must for most dishes.The portions were very large! So make sure you know what you are ordering.The restaurant decor doesn't really seem to know what it wants to be. Sports bar mixed with 50s diner kind of vibe.I'll definitely come back as it was very convenient to the place we were visiting.

Ok, let's try this again, since my previous review is flagged for an offensive description. This is a great diner with wonderful food and location. We visited three times during Dragon Con. The karaoke was very entertaining. However, the DJ music on our third visit on 8/1/24 11:00 p.m. was very distasteful , full of unnecessary graphic and offensive language and reinforced stereotypes.

Excellent service, cool diner atmosphere, and can handle a massive crowd of passionate and tired people around the clock. A DragonCon staple.

If you want bad service with required 18% gratuity, then go here. Guaranteeing gratuity just pleads for servers to not care. We didn't even get ice in our drinks. Tried to ask twice for condiments that we never received. Not clean at all either.

If I could give this place a negative 5 I would. By far the most absolutely total filthy, disgusting, uncooked, unhygienic, and overpriced restaurant I have ever had the displeasure of eating at. I honestly do not know how this place is still allowed to remain open. It is probably the shining example of why code violations and health inspections exist. When I got there, there was crap all over the floor. Food, water, coffee. The bathroom was about ten times worse. The food was just expensive for no reason. For 4 people, and basic size portions, it rang up to about $130. Automatic 18% gratuity goes to the business, not the server. The food was cold, the meat was still pink. I'm getting nauseous just thinking about it. This place needs to be closed down asap.

Warning on nuts: the cheesecake flavors look innocent, but some are crusted with things that contain nuts (I think).Came by late evening on a weekday and it was relatively empty. Nice live music playing near the bar on the first floor. We got seated upstairs and were brought menus quickly. Food also came out pretty quickly - five dishes within twenty minutes.I had the patty melt. It was a good portion, with a nice helping of fries that came out hot and crispy. The flavors were salty with a lot of seasoning, very much Southern comfort style. I enjoyed my dinner and my table did as well, with the ribs also getting good reviews.Our waitress unfortunately wasn't able to give many details on the cheesecake safety for someone with a nut allergy. I went with the plain cheesecake. This thing is massive. One slice fed all five of us with a few bites each. It looks soft like a Japanese cheesecake, but it is quite rich and thick. Highly recommend a slice to split with people.Nice that they add gratuity to the menu price. Wish more places did that.

Metro Diner is what you would expect a 3 star Yelp restaurant experience to entail. The restaurant itself has 3 levels of seating and encapsulates typical diner ambiance. Our waitress was attentive, kind and quick to answer our questions. Our meal was satisfying. I ordered the Gyro sandwich and they were happy to allow hash browns as a substitute for my fries. The Gyro was tasty. The pita bread with nicely toasted and the homemade Tzatziki sauce was the highlight of the dish. If your thinking of ordering the hash browns be sure to ask for them crispy unless you like them soft. Overall the service and experience was nice but the food was slightly overpriced.

Food was good. Had biscuits and gravy, scrambled eggs and cheese grits. Not the worst but I have had better. Dont get the grits.
