Metro Soulfood Deli
Another view of this nasty Skimpy Gyro! Not worth $7.00 buck! Although the price on the board says $5.99!
Nothing but Bread! Basically!
As you can see! 3 little thin strips of meat!

Not worth $7.00 bucks! I wouldn't even pay $2 bucks for this nasty GYro. I'd stop eating gyros before I get one here again! Lol.

Tucked inside the Municipal Market Metro has a lot of history but what it possesses in history it lacks in flavor. The food looks good but flavor wise it leave a lot to be desired. The owners are Somali and don't quite understand the nuances of African American southern cooking. I had the fried chicken wings which were fresh but lacked seasoning, the mac N cheese was a huge disappointment and the collards lacked seasoning. All in all a 4/10...you cannot beat the ambiance of the Curb Market, but it's a pass for me on the metro deli.

First time visiting municipal market and this is where we ate. Got the rib plate and it was delicious. The meat fell off the bone. The collared greens and beans were well flavored and the cornbread was good too. Reasonable prices as well.

The people that eat here must not be the review type because the food is phenomenal and I heard they've been there for a while so I'm not sure why they don't have more reviews. It feels like your grandparents cooked it in their southern kitchen yummy! I usually get the Salisbury steak with mac n cheese, green and yams it comes with a piece of cornbread that resembles a pancake which is also delicious. It may very likely be a pancake but that's not the name of it. The actual name of the cornbread is quiete funny you'll see when you get there lol.

This is a great choice for a fast lunch or dinner. It's located inside of the Auburn Market in a stall. Food is on a hot bar. I find the staff unassuming and efficient. The food is VERY good and fresh. Flavorful soul food - Seems to be owned by Ethiopians so Black Owned. You just can't beat the veggie plate for $7.99. I am not a vegetarian, but this veggie plate helps me eat more veggies each week. Lol. I go here quite often.Validated parking in the lot.The market gets super busy so enjoy the ambiance of the community.

While in Atlanta I wanted to try something different! While I stopped in this market and got a veggie plate! The Mac and cheese, cabbage and collards were down right great! They served it with a pancake? The vegan lentil soup was good to; they also served this with a pan cake? I will be returning? Anyone that knows me knows I am a Mac and cheese queen!. Now they had these lentil semolinas; pass them up.

This is one of my favorite places at the sweet Auburn market! It is well priced for both breakfast and lunch, and the food is delicious. Staff are kind as well. They validate parking for an hour so you can grab and go or eat here as well. Definitely try to get here before noon or after 1. It's a popular spot. I've never had breakfast here but the prices are great as well! My faves are the falafel salad($9) or gyros. Tons of people do the hot bar as well. Anything off of the menu is made to order!

I am a regular at the Auburn market but this was my first time at Metro Deli. The counter is across from the vietnamese restaurant formerly known as Dua. The set up is cafeteria style meat and 2. I had just gotten a smoothie at Rawsome juicery but the baked spaghetti special of the day was calling my name. Nothing fancy- pure home cooking. I had a huge helping with a side of cabbage and mac and cheese (really cheesy). Total was $8.99. The guys there are super nice and the line moves quickly.Parking:Free 1 hour in the lot. Come before noon or after noon as the line can get long with healthcare employees from Grady.

Located in the Municipal Market, this place is delicious. I tried the Mac and cheese and the jambalaya and both were awesome. I'll definitely seek them out again on my next trip to Atlanta.

Super friendly gentlemen working at the counter. It's located inside a farmers market type of place, so NOTHING about it is fancy. I only had a piece of baked chicken breast, but it was sooooo tender and good. I will definitely be back.
