Every time I go to Mestizo I ask myself why it was so long ago. The food is tasty, the portions are huge, and the staff is very friendly and helpful. They also make very good margaritas. The dining areas are big, and when the restaurant is busy, it can get a bit noisy. But even then I think the food and service makes it worth it.

The food was delicious! I was so pleasantly surprised. I had the mole enchilada and it was flavorful. My boyfriend had the carne asada and he loved it. South Florida girl who is usually picky about Mexican food, but the flavor was on point! Service was good, and the vibe is laid back. Pictures are after we ate as we forgot to take prior to.

Reviews tell the truth. The margaritas are fantastic... especially at the dinner special rate. No question of whether I wanted one or two. The staff were great: fine with switching away from the happy but loud baby, bringing the homemade salsa, nicely attentive.. perfect. Chili relleno - yum. Cheese and onion enchilada- yum. Also gave me good advice on size of the meal - not skimpy. Cute downtown area adds to experience.

Big and bland. Meh.Servings are huge, like you find in many Mexican restaurants, so that's good. But my tacos were so bland, no taste at all. Had to add salsa and the bottle of green hot sauce to give it some taste.Service was fast and very friendly.

Always has been, and always will be my fave Mexican place! When they shut down a while back, I can't explain how sad I was. The family that owns this place always goes above and beyond with their customer service! The tv is always on, and music always going. The restrooms are clean, and you can really tell they have a passion for their business (which isn't a common theme these days). They're the only place that serves Tortas the way I like them, and I refuse to eat anyone else's, some of my favorite out-to-eat memories with family and friends are made here!

Wow, this place is incredible! I actually live in Lake Stevens so obviously it's quite a distance. I've eaten at many Mexican food restaurants here in Washington but out of all the restaurants I've eaten at, this one is probably the best! I always liked going to the Playa Bonita in Arlington because the food there is really good but after going to Mestizo, I think it is now my new favorite Mexican restaurant! The food was absolutely delicious, the staff was very friendly, and in general I really liked the ambiance of the place. I will come again next time I'm around!

We had the wet chile verde burritos . We went there to see tulips. After eating here, we might have traveled a distance for the food! Guacamole was great too. Service was pleasant. Place is clean. Prices are good too. Just an overall great restaurant.

Ordered the chicken flautas app as my meal and a skinny marg that was advertised as being made from fresh squeezed limes. Ugh, I hate when I can't say everything was amazing... but aside from service, the chips, salsa, and Pico de Gallo, it wasn't amazing. The chicken flautas that are supposed to be deep-fried were undercooked, soft, and soggy. The shredded chicken filling seemed to be the cause for the sogginess, but the guac was so flavorful! The skinny marg with fresh lime juice was overly sweet and tasted syrupy, absolutely no fresh squeezed lime taste or texture at all.I'm hoping it was just an off night, but every dish that had shredded chicken was pooling in liquid, while the chicken itself was dry. Others at my table got Carne Masada tacos which they ate and were happy with l.There seemed to be a good amount of locals coming in, so I'm sure they have dishes that people come back for so we may give it another try the next time we're in town. Lots of seating on two sides of the restaurant. Cool saloon style bar area. Watch out - restrooms are not what you would expect!

Great food, try their wet burrito with carne asada. Big portions, enough for 2 people or save leftovers for lunch the next day.
