I was craving Mexican food and I happen to find this place by accident. It was pretty busy for Monday night, guess fams in town for the holiday. Waited about 25 mins to be sat which was fine. Nice little small restaurant, this place went through so many different restaurants in the past. Staffs were friendly decor was cute and cozy. Menu options looks pretty good and I was happy to see menudo on the menu.. I was craving menudo.. Ordered bean dip as appetizer and It was yummy. The combination of sauce jalapeño and cheese added to it made it nice and flavorful. Only downside was it was little on the expensive side for how much you got. I ordered menudo and wifey ordered combo plate with green corn tamale, taco, and cheese enchiladas. And of course my luck, they ran out of menudo because old couple sitting next to me ordered 3 bowls to go... So I ended up ordering chato burro Xavier way. Which was actually pretty darn good also. Red and green chilli had nice flavoring and enchiladas style made it extra yummy. Green corn tamale was also pretty darn good. Not too sweet, yummy flavor and masa was not too dry. Took a small left over bite of taco and it was also yummy, nice crunchy shell with shredded meat. Salsa was also pretty good. After finishing the bowl heat crawled up on me little.. Would like to try their extra spicy salsa next time. We were given extra chips and salsa for free even though it said it cost extra. Over all the food was pretty darn good. Price seems little high but if you compare to other restaurants it's not too bad. I wouldn't say it was best Mexican food ever but, something about their food was pretty darn good and make me want to come back and try more. I am happy I found this place, this will be my new go to Mexican place to sit down and eat. I am definitely coming back here for menudo next time.. I was told they stop serving it 30 mins before closing..

Usually we're excited about dining here. Lately it's been hit or miss. This evening, it was a HUGE miss! The simple dinner we ordered was "ok"... some beef tacos, a bean burro, and a buttered tortilla. The food was good. The service, however, that could be improved. There were people dining as we walked in. Yes, it was close to closing time, but in my experience in working with customers, you should treat the last person to walk in with the same hospitality that you greet your first. There was no greeting. We felt rushed (even though we ordered and left before those that were already there). Being from the Globe area, where this restaurant originated, I guess we expect to experience the same family hospitality as we get back "home". When your plates are in the bus girls hand as she pulls them from the table, and then asks if you're finished, that's probably a sign that they are ready for you to be done. We left before the other customers were even out of their chairs, because of the lack of hospitality. Lights & tv were turned off at the bar, and staff stood watching. Honestly, only the waitress was friendly, and probably only because she has to be. Unfortunately, we won't be returning any time soon. I wish I had better things to say this evening. Maybe we caught them on a bad day... maybe we'll try again one day. As for now, this restaurant was very disappointing. Definitely doesn't compare to the original in Tempe. I gave one star so I could post this review.

This is my favorite place to eat in the valley. I could eat the Lisa's special, bean dip and buttered tortilla daily! The table salsa is tasty. The kids love the rice, beans and burritos too!lThe staff is consistent and always friendly also!

Made an order on grubhub and the restaurant forgot one of the entree items... out of a total of 7. Disappointing when you can't handle a simple order.

Went to Xavier's tonight for dinner as it was recommended. The food was delicious & the flavors were authentic! However, when you visit any Mexican restaurant, and order an entree you get the following:Complimentary chips and salsa (you only get one bowl free)Rice and beans or two sides to accompany your entree/meal (*they charge an extra $5 to entrees that start at $12)!Once we were ready to check out, I gave my *debit card* to pay. I go to sign the check and they ADDED an extra $2.00 fee!! My bill was $57.13 prior to that fee being added. Nowhere on the menu was this extra fee disclosed, no signs at the hostess podium...nada! Service was minimal & tip was appropriate.I would not mind going back, but theseEXTRA charges make you feel as though you're flying Spirit Airlines! Bring cash and maybe try a lunch special and see if it's a bit cheaper!

I've been eating at this and other Reynosa family restaurants for years. It pains me to write this review, but I don't want anyone else to get sick. My daughter and I went there today for a late lunch. She got the chicken enchiladas like she always does, and about 45 mins later she was as puking and has bad stomach cramps. I ate the cheese enchilada and Xavier burrito (bean burrito). I am fine. So it had to be the chicken. Eat here at your own risk.

Another excellent Mexican food restaurant. Try the Gollo burro or the Charo burro Xavier's way . Whole beans with green chili pork. Great stuff. The salsa is unique with cinnamon but tastes excellent. If you haven't tried their chips and salsa, you are missing one of the best tasting and unique salsas in Arizona. You can't taste hints of regular salsa spice (peppers) with a touch of cinnamon somewhere mixed in. Amazing. In addition to the amazing charro and gollo burros, you absolutely should try the full plate carne asada. I have had carne asada at literally dozens of Mexican restaurants, and Xaviers Casa Reynoso is the hands-down best carne asada plate dinner I've ever had. Perfectly grilled flank steak, piping hot to the table, generous portion and perfectly matched with a giant buttered tortilla. This is now my "go to" at Casa, even though they have a lot of other excellent dishes. The refried beans, the rice, the salsa, the wonderful green chili pork are all perfect reasons to hit Xaviers Casa Reynoso. I go there weekly. See you there, my friends!

It's ok. Recommended by sis in law. Food is decent and friendly service. But for me it was the usual chain restaurant fare. In the land of taco trucks and authentic Mexican food, I'd rather have gone to one of those. Give me a tamale in an corn husk not my could have been a you name it taste. I'm just not a fan of a place that gets their meats and sauces from a food delivery truck. Give me homemade Mexican with some spice and I'll be a fan forever.

Always consistent in service and recipes. Had a cheese crisp which was great. I also ordered my favorite burro which is the Gollo making it enchilada style and taco. The service was great as always with my order coming very quickly. The waitress was amazing. She was very polite and cordial! Restaurant was clean and very comfortable. Lighting was not too dark and not too bright. Please visit Xavier's Casa Reynoso and I promise you will be satisfied!
