Love the ice cream and shooting gallery. Glad to see that they are taking such great care of that piece of history. Always friendly staff!

Took my nephew here after his basketball game. It's a cute little water n ice & ice cream shop out in STV. Very laid back atmosphere, decent size so you can take a larger party. They have an entire side section inside to sit and enjoy your treats. It's pretty neat it has a little old school shooting gallery that you can pay to play. They serve the good stuff, the Thrifty Ice Cream, old school shakes and floats, nachos, hot dogs, candy.... Yummmm!If you want to take the fam out in STV, skip the ice cream chains and stop by Winters, you won't be disappointed! Enjoy :)

Great place! The only thing that threw us off was there was no ramp to roll the water carts down. Please update your menu prices online as we went and planned on grabbing a few snacks, but the prices weren't what we were expecting to pay.

The Manager recently decided to exchange the Chocolate Chip ice cream for Strawberry ice cream. Poor decision on their part. Oh a brighter note...Baskin Robbins on Rittenhouse still serves Chocolate Chip,winner!

Absolutely the best water and ice in the Valley. So pure and refreshing. Don't worry if you can't make it during their operating hours, they have a coin operated machine that allows for 24/7 service from the same purified water they have inside. Their son is also an artist, so bring the kids, get a hot dog and a scoop of thrifty ice cream while the kids enjoy the shooting gallery that's better than Cabelas.

Really unique spot. Diamond in the rough. Thrifty ice cream of course is a win. The lady at the counter was so nice. They have step stools so kids can see the ice cream which is a small detail but goes a long way. We will definitely be back to try the shooting range and the Nathan's hot dogs : )

The food and ice cream is good. The atmosphere is fun to look at and they even have a little shooting range with lights and sounds. The employees have always been friendly. Yes bring your kids or just come by yourself and enjoy.

I refilled my gallon water bottles today and got a free shower as a bonus!!! The flimsy water spigots were on a jet stream setting so was super difficult to align and fill. The faucet handles were teeny little knobs that hurt my fingers to turn and since I had to hold each bottles in place I couldn't easily fill more than one at a time. Such simple fixes, so why????
