Quick service. I walked in and there was only one person being waiting on and one Postal worker that was available. The wait time was short. I was called up to the counter and the worker was very friendly and kind. We shared some laughs while she was checking me out for the packages I was dropping off.I was in and out of there like a flash.

This isn't my local post office but it is the one up the street from the job. Every now and again, I take things over here if I am leaving directly from work. One may think, all post offices are the same and perhaps that is true. This one is larger than the one near my house and it has far more PO boxes available than we do at mine. It does get backed upnfrom time to time but this day, I headed in about quarter to 5 and decided to use the machine to prep my envelope. Free and clear of any people, outside of where the Post Masters counters are located. That is a plus for sure because if it happens to get congested it isn't like we're all sardined in... So, I was able to take action on my own. However, I wanted it to go out asap and thus decided to head in. Granted, as I mentioned, it was end of day and each Postal employee was likely finishing up end of day things. I understood this. Upon reaching the counter I handed it off and much to my surprise he offered me a receipt to prove it was actually passed off. Thisbwas something he did on his own and I was absolutely thrilled. It reminded me of another time I came in toward the end of their day with a massive mailing and the postal agent showed no sign of irritation or annoyance and in my opinion went above and beyond providing me with documentation proving my items were mailed. I feel it important to recognize these individuals because they prove that certain stigmas or ideas often squaked about as it comes to government workers is simply not true. I perceive each of them as valuable and trusted members of our mail and community and feel it significant to utilize the postal service as much as possible. Thank you all, for your service

JACK aka Post Office Jack is the epitome of a hard working American who dresses well, speaks kindly and treats others with empathy and respect. My husband and I have driven to Buckeye and Clarkdale to get new passports and both places were unable to help us. We showed up at 8:45am to the Van Buren USPS location and met Jack with a smile and warm personality. He was able to assist us and get my infant son a passport & myself an updated passport with ease and literally made our day!!! Thank you, Jack! We need more people like you in the world :)

I made an appointment to get my passport done here and I'm happy I did. I arrived early and they took me right on time. Tyffani was so helpful and made me feel confident that after all the annoying paperwork, things were going to work out just fine. Their line can be a little long but they seem to manage it well. They have self serve kiosks and a large parking lot so it's about as convenient as the post office can ever be.

So apparently closed at 5:30 means closed at 4:45. This is one of if not the largest usps in Arizona and they can't even get closing times right.

I have an ecommerce business - and ship 30-50 packages a week. I take care of all the postage at home, and just leave the packages on the outgoing USPS mail counter. Normally, I leave them at the USPS station on Thomas and 40th (which is a great station, btw). However, I was down near this station today, and figured I'd leave them here instead. When I walked in, the line was huge - which of course is not their fault. I was scanning the front desk, to see where the best place would be to drop outgoing packages (I didn't need anything scanned, and didn't need to wait in an hour line). There's no signs or clear indications anywhere. Except on the far left side (if you're facing the counter) there was a pile of packages on what looked like was their outgoing mail section. The counter was pretty full, but there was still some room and space. I decided to give it a shot - and made room between a couple big boxes, for the 7-8 envelopes I had to drop off. While doing this, the lady working the counter closest to this outgoing mail drop off - yells, "WOULD YOU MIND NOT PUTTING MORE PACKAGES THERE, THE COUNTER IS FULL.". Keep in mind, the damn place is as quiet as a library, and there's 15-20 people behind me, now all staring at me. I said, "I'm sorry, I don't know where else you want me to put them." She snaps back, "put them somewhere else on the counter" - which still, I have no idea where she was talking about. The rest of the country was just 2 other USPS workers / stations, helping customers. There no other clear places to leave outgoing packages, and no signs. She seemed to imply that I could just walk in there, and leave a package anywhere I wanted on the entire counter. It didn't make sense, it was unclear, and there was no reason she needed to yell at me. She was an older lady, probably in her 50's, white skin, wearing glasses. It was just very rude and uncalled for. I didn't stack the packages ontop of a bunch of already stacked packages. I made room for mine, and made it organized. She could have just asked and been polite - or better yet - offered to help. I see this happen at some of the other USPS stations. They don't clear the outgoing mail counter, and they let it pile up or make it seem as if it's full - to prevent people from leaving packages there. It's lazy, and it's a cheap way of trying to manage the situation. I get it's busy, and I get they have to work hard. But if you don't want the counter to pile up with packages, take a minute, and CLEAR IT. Don't make people wait in a 30 min line, to drop off a package that has a label on it, and is ready to go. And if you can't do that, then make it clear where exactly people can leave packages. Be friendly, and be helpful. Whoever this woman was, I hope she gets whatever help she needs. And someone gives her a hug. The world isn't out to get you lady.
