Steve,After several days of thought and talking to those who have catered parties and were at my party and another catering company, I decided to just give you the facts. This is what I would want to know if I had a catering company, as, it is going to adversely affect your company's future, should it not be rectified with your future clients.1) No one contacted me when you were hospitalized and could not personally attend to our catering needs.2) I called 2 days prior to the party to find out time food would be delivered and who would deliver.(security officers need names)3) You answered my call from your hospital bed. Informed me you were in the hospital for the last month and "Jose" would be making and delivering the food and not to worry. You also told me to call Carolyn. I called Carolyn, who answered after several calls. She couldn't give me Jose's last name for security and told me Jose would be cooking at my home.4) I prepare for a chef to cook in my home. (I was confused as this was not what I contracted for)5) Jose's young son and a woman delivered one small tin 9"X11" of beef skewers, one 9"X11" tin of chicken skewers, one tin of rice 9X11, one tin 9"X11" of cooked vegetables, 1 large plastic bowl of salad with dressing, 1 round tin plate of deviled eggs(approx 30), 1 round tin of dried apricots with a almond and a dab of cheese(approx 30), pastry wrapped smokies ( approx 30). They also set up the buffet with wire racking, water and burning cans.6) My 45 guests arrive( catering contract was for 50, for $5100.00 paid in advance on Zelle and a personal check). There is immediately not enough appetizers. Followed by running totally out of food and people complaining to my servers (hired separately from Unique Luxury Catering) that there is not enough food. Bill and I had a little salad and a chicken skewer. Needless to say, Bill and I were mortified, embarrassed and we still are..... I would like to know how this will be rectified?--After 10 days, I have not received a response to this no drama, facts only email. Steve was able to ask me via email, the day after the party, how the party went. I waited a few days to calm down. I sympathize with his situation, however, I should have been contacted when Steve was unable to cater himself. If you contract with this company, I would get a count of how many or how much of each item will be brought and I would pay half in advance, half upon delivery.

Steve I honestly cannot give you 5 stars. Our dinner food was so cold when we got it. We all were surprised. Steven and his partner were nice people and it seems like he really did try. But how do you serve cold food ??? All your vegetables tasted great. The pasta was probably the worst penna vodka I ever had. It was so dry and cold. The salad was good. The chicken was well marinated . The shrimp was bland. No one likes the bruschetta. Literally tasted like topping out of a jar! We all agreed the dessert and salad was probably the only thing we enjoyed. We had to order pizza after. I am sorry but we were not happy with our dinner. Maybe next time u can figure out a way to keep the food still hot And you definitely should triple the amount of sauce on your pasta!

We were visiting for a bachelorette trip and had dinner and brunch catered after a long hike. We were a big group and had an Airbnb. The staff was very courteous but that was clearly a facade. The sea bass was beyond salty to the point of being inedible. The pork chop was mediocre, the turkey sandwiches lacked stuffing, and that pitiful picture of what looks like crawfish is of the so-called lobster tails... we are the food because we were it all day and had nothing else to eat. The dinner was supposed to be the highlight/party of the bachelorette trip. Upon letting Carol Ann and "Chef" Steve know about the discrepancies, they responded simply by saying sorry and that they never receive negative feedback. And when we let them know that sorry wasn't sufficient, they began berating us via text messages. They went on and on about how we were all to drunk to remember the food among other things. That is absolutely unprofessional for the staff to discuss personal matters of their clients, nonetheless lie about what occurred. I suppose I wasn't too drunk to take a picture though. Tara the bartender probably wished she did her job a little more efficiently so I might not have pictures of the crayfish they fed us. Oh but their desserts are delicious! They're all locally sourced from your neighborhood market and our store bought desserts were served with "luxurious" Turkey Hill brand vanilla ice cream. Because, you know Haagen Daz would've been slightly too luxurious. And the icing on the cake? They said we shouldn't have booked them since we couldn't afford them insinuating that we were asking for a partial refund because we're broke. Honey, at least I can afford to buy some Haagen Daz. We tipped because it's not the server's fault that you provided them with subpar ingredients and dishes. The tip is the their service, not yours. We always tip more because we know how hard they work. No worries, we have no desire to be underwhelmed or lied to again. I do have some other suggestions though. You should look for better sources for your ingredients since that's your excuse, and brush up on your grammar. You don't need to capitalize every word after a comma.

Had a wonderful experience working with Chef Steve, I love the company professionalism. They took their time to get to know our winery and our wines and what we want to bring to our customers. The food was delicious, we had a barbecue with pulled pork sliders, coleslaw, potato salad (my personal favorite) and beans, our customers loved it very much. We look forward to working in future events!!

So I know my update is a little late, but I just can't stop thinking about Chef Steve's AMAZING mashed potatoes! Well since my original review back in June we have used Unique Luxury Catering two more times. Once for Thanksgiving and once for Christmas day. If you haven't noticed by now I can NOT cook! Thankfully to Chef Steve all my family and friends were not leery to join us for the most important food holidays of the year LOL. Chef Steve and Carol prepared the most amazing 5 course Holiday dinners I have ever had. Our guest were absolutely amazed by the food and super impressed that our caterers even brought beautiful platters for our Ham & Turkey. My boyfriends sister might kick my butt, but we were both fighting over who could lick the bowl clean of the mashed potatoes. Now that I have chef Steve I truly look forward to hosting any event and my guest look forward to joining. By far the best caterers in town! Their professionalism, kind heartiness and overall cooking abilities are outstanding :)

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE!!Leading up to our event Steve was a wonderful communicator and I felt confident in his ability to caterer an event for 18 people. However the night of the event was disappointing and very embarrassing. He made Chicken Parmesan and everyone's chicken was RAW!! He tried to recover by putting it back in the oven, however the pasta and vegetables sat out on the counter and were cold upon re-serving. When he re-plated everyone's chicken we had received other people's food that they had already eaten off of. DISGUSTING and very unprofessional! We had several girls that were gluten free that ended up sick because of the chicken getting switched with someone else's! Even after he put chicken back in the oven, some were still raw. His Tiramisu that he bragged about was awful! Also one of his servers that he has helping him was rude and unprofessional. Overall a HORRIBLE experience!!Steve never apologized for this debacle nor did he make it right!! When you are paying a $100 I would expect more!

Steve and Carol Ann catered our Thanksgiving Day meal for 15 guests. It was amazing! Real home cooking, easy to heat & serve and true professionalism. My 82 year old Dad was pessimistic about catered food on Thanksgiving and he was blown away with the taste and quality. My picky eater son said it was the best turkey he ever had. Unique Luxury Catering gave us a 5 Star restaurant quality home cooked turkey dinner. Thank you Carol Ann & Steve!I will definitely use Unique Luxury Catering again!
