We stayed at this place in July 2019. First off it's a beautiful well kept home. It's has a wonderful huge immaculately kept yard. Every morning you get to wake up and enjoy your coffee while you are watching beautiful horses galloping around in the backyard. (Over The back fence not in the immediate backyard ) Steve and Bonita are wonderful host. The only point I want to add is Steve and Bonita live inside the home and you actually share the kitchen with them. They go out of their way to make sure you have privacy and are very accommodating. They come out and interact with you regularly. (I am not complaining and I did not consider this a negative) Whenwe originally read the listing and it stated that they had living quarters on the premises we thought they had their own kitchen and so forth. This is a beautiful home and well worth the price.

We wanted a unique place for family pictures and this hit the spot. There are many options for different settings from houses to all types of old farm equipment. If your looking for the rustic/vintage look take the time to head over to the ranch.

We didn't know the houses were only open for tours. We arrived and saw the back door was open. We all thought we could go in. We did go in and then a lady comes in and scolds us and tells us to leave and the houses are not open for the public. We walk out and she slams the back door.

Cute area but hours open are unreliable, and not just the museum's hours as another reviewer mentioned. I've gone by more than once to find the gates shut during its "open" hours, including tonight when it closed at least 40 minutes early, so we couldn't even walk around outside.

When I first walked onto the grounds of the Tumbleweed Ranch Museum, it looked like a great place to take young kids. The outdoor area was lush and grassy, with areas for picnics and performances. The museum is supposed to showcase information about Chandler's early agricultural and farming equipment. But, in order to fully experience the museum, a worker must be there to unlock the two historical family homes. Unless you have a pre-set group tour or are going during a special event, there is nobody there to direct you around the area. I was disappointed to find out that information when I arrived there. The gates were open for anyone to walk in and look around, but because there were no "workers" I was not able to go into the houses and look around. The website states that the museum is open daily from 6am-6pm, but there was no one there when I went. So, I decided to contact the museum to figure out why it was so empty. They told me that unless there are special events or scheduled visits, the gates are left open for anyone to walk around the grounds. I was told that I could just take a look around the area because the historic houses were not unlocked. They had limited resources for historical information, and the only information you found was on a poster in front of one of the houses. All in all, I was not impressed with the way the museum was operated. I was expecting to walk around and learn more about farm life in the early years, but there was nothing to see or read about. Be sure to check for special events if you would like to have a more hands on experience.
