Tom's BBQ

Their food is pretty good but not great. The brisket is good as is their pulled pork. What they have over every other BBQ joint is a good Chicago dog and great French fries. There are places with better bbq but only if you're willing to drive a good distance. If you're looking for a dog and fries this is the place. They have a pretty good beef gravy so one day I need to try their Italian beef. On this day I got the sliced brisket and my wife got the Italian sausage. We both enjoyed the meal. The price for lunch though is pretty steep. Especially without drinks. The service is order at the counter but you have to ring a bell to get a person because they only have two people working. The ambience is very casual.

The bbq here is great! The brisket was tender and ribs fell off the bone. The slaw and mac and cheese were also really good. Tom's is definitely a place to try if you're in town.

I'm a long time customer. Yesterday's dinner was disappointing. We ordered the 3 meat family pack and all the meats were cold and greasy. They also poured sauce over everything and that was disgusting. Fries were okay but coleslaw was old; probably made early in the morning and by the time they served it to us, everything was soggy. Too bad, I used to love Tom's.

Ours was a call-in / pick-up order. First time to try Tom's and we were so impressed. The portions (we had the catfish platter as well as the fried mushrooms) were more than we expected. We even had leftovers for lunch the next day. We really enjoyed the experience and will go back again!

We called in an order 70 minutes before closing, but a number of fried items were not available. I'm guessing they had shut down their fryers already, because the hush puppies were soft and the catfish was just ok. They had the chairs up on the tables and were clearly getting ready to close, though at that point it was 50 minutes until closing time. It was a disappointment.

It wasn't bad but wasn't great, I would go again if I didn't have any other option. A bit salty and dry but again not horrible.

We order food to go and didn't notice until we got home that they gave us only three small and narrow strips of Beef Brisket that where about 80 % fat. It was disgusting .We also ordered pull-up pork and it didn't have any flavor, it tasted like boiled pork because the barbecue sauce wasn't enough and only on the surface but not inside .For a side dish we got mash potato, it wasn't good or bad just something warm to eat . What a rip-off this food was .We spend $40.54 and couldn't be more dissatisfied and upset We won't ever buy food from Tom's BBQ again .

Toma should be a bigger deal than it is. I've went here 3 times, and am finally writing a review. I've got something different all 3 times and it was all solid. Is it the best bbq? No. But it is HUGE portions, at a solid price, with great service and a very large menu. Where else can you get solid bbq, burgers, hot dogs, good catfish in Chandler? I actually got 3 meals out of the catfish dinner. It's simply huge! Those beans are insanely tasty too.

Food is always delicious, and perfectly prepared. Super friendly people always there too. Highly recommended

Ordered food to go at lunch time. The young man who took my order was friendly and kind. I ordered two meals, a brisket dinner and a baked potato w/brisket. I asked for extra potato toppings, which I was charged for (no problem) and I asked for extra bbq sauce. While I was waiting for my food to be made, I walked over to the condiment area (with serve yourself large bottles of bbq sauce), which is open to the kitchen. A lady in the kitchen starting loudly complaining about my ordering extra condiments and they need to start charging for extras and how ridiculous it was. I was a bit shocked by how loudly she was ranting. Especially since I paid for the extra potato toppings and there are large bottles of self serve bbq sauce right there in the restaurant for everyone to help themselves. So I'm not sure what she was so upset about. But anyway, the food was okay. The brisket had a lot of fat (which I like!) but the meat was very salty and dry. Seemed like maybe it was made a day or two ahead of time and rewarmed? The potato was very good. The Cole slaw and baked beans were okay and the roll was just a grocery store white roll.
