The Sandwich Shoppe

Located in a small strip mall by an automotive repair shop is nestled this quaint sandwich shoppe. Years ago, I recalled having some amazing made in house potato salad and macaroni salad when I came with my bestie. I had my heart set on the potato salad, and I was delighted to grab the last one. They were out of the macaroni salad, or I would have had both. A reason to return! I wasn't very hungry for a sandwich, so it was just a side for me kind of visit but my cousin ordered the Italian sandwich. Though I did inquire about the California veggie sandwich for next that that sounded delightful! The sandwich prices were very reasonable too. Love the ability to do a whole or half as I tend to like smaller portions. This is a locally owned business and both my cousin and myself chatted with the owner Angie who prepared the food. She actually remembered me, which I was totally shocked! Love that small town feel, and it always makes you feel special to be recognized as a regular. Now to visit more to become that regular! I'll definitely be back as the potato salad was as great as I recall. Not too overpowered by mustard, and just the right amount of tang. Plus an added bonus of black olives - my fav!If you are local or visiting Apache Junction, make sure to check this place out. The owner is very friendly and service has always been great.

I really enjoyed my visit to the Sandwich Shoppe. It is a small business and the owner was happy to assist us. She engaged in conversation throughout our visit and made us feel so welcome. I enjoyed this because sometimes when it is just 1 person working, they only focus on fulfilling the order and not the experience the customer has. I ordered an Italian Sandwich ($8.99) and was very happy with the size/quality for the price. They serve Boars Head lunch meats which I prefer on the rare occasion I eat sandwich meat. The toppings and bread were fresh and added to the overall sandwich enjoyment. The location felt open and well lit. There was a few seating options inside as well as outside seating. I enjoyed the overall atmosphere and experience of the Sandwich Shoppe. I would definitely recommend to someone and come back myself!

Sandwich Shoppe is a nice, locally owned(owner was making sandwiches)restaurant at Apache Trail and Ironwood. My Italian sub was delicious with the Boars Head meat. Service by Jacob was excellent.They have a large, unique selection of sandwiches ready fast.

This little family owned business serves super yummy sandwiches. The owners are very friendly. The only drawback is the limited hours, but I appreciate that family is first.

I wish I'd gotten to try their food but it never arrived. We called after an hour and they said they never got the order. I'm sure that's not their fault but if you look them up and it says you are getting your order thru grub hub they should know about it. I don't usually order thru grub hub but I didn't notice until I had already paid, I thought I was ordering through the sandwich shop. All I can say is do not order online. Call, one day we will order from them, but until than I will be checking my back to make sure the charges don't show up.

Looks nothing like any picture I seen of the food here . Pick from the sides that you can't see . Potatoe salad is full of black olives ! Drowned the bread with mayo . What a disappointment !

Oh wow! I just visited this place after a work meeting. I came up to the lady in the front and she greeted me in a very warm way! I asked about the best sandwiches and selected the Club. It was really good. Nice location and good customer service. I will definitely return!

This is a small mom and pop sandwich shoppe. The sandwiches are a good size. The drinks are self serve. They also have a Blue Bell ice cream counter. I had the French dip. It was tasty along with the broth. If I'm ever in the area again I will definitely stop by.

The sandwiches are made on fresh bread. The meats sliced fresh. The sandwiches are toasted at the time of ordering.The choices of hard ice cream are not "the usual " which adds the fun back into having a sweet treat. Anyone who is a fan of Reubens.... go nowhere else! Other places drown the flavors with thousand island. Or offer too little meat or cheese. On bread too mild. This sandwiche shoppe has the PERFECT blend! The rye is a swirl. Appealing to the eyes and the sandwich is a perfect balance of meat melted cheese kraft and sauce. No one flavor over powers the other. A true delicacy. Remeber to tip handsomely.

The Ruben was really good! I'm really glad I found this place since there aren't a lot of good food options in the way of Gold Canyon. The owner is very kind and it was really nice to chat with a fellow Michigander! Definitely will be coming back.
