The Parlour Room

PARLOUR DOOM Came through on a Saturday night and this small bar was packed and only took about 50 people piled in there to fill it up. The place was not called ROOM for nothin. It felt about the size of a Master Bedroom. There were two 'rooms' actually; the main room and a smaller adjacent room, which would be like a big walk-in closet to this Master Bedroom. The big room had a few standing tables and the small room had some chairs and couches with tables that you can actually sit at. The smaller room contained a mini bar area that that you can also sit at, but was not being used to serve at the time. This master bedroom had a Master of Ceremonies playing music, but he was definitely a Master of Disaster on the turn tables. This D.J. had a pattern where he would play a song and maybe 20 seconds into it, people would start feeling the music, but then he would switch the song. Talk about killin the vibe! Well, there was no cover charge, so maybe that's why there's a neon sign in there that says "No Free Vibes". It was like they were the Vibe Nazis.The other atrocity was how he was tried to mix the tracks. He was trying to mix songs from every genre of every decade. The DJ was overlapping newer songs with older songs, maybe to cater to the age range of the crowd, but the result sounded like he was just messing around for the first time on new turn tables he got for Christmas. He tried to mix songs which didn't even go together or have a mixable beat i.e. 'Macarena' and 'In the End' by Linkin Park. This abomination was an insult to the artists and fans of music in general. To make things worse, the DJ tried to hype the crowd by talking over the mic intermittently, but all he accomplished was interrupting the songs. I almost had second-hand embarrassment for him. It would have been better if he just had a recorded track of songs and just played the preset music. I think you are better off paying for your vibes elsewhere if you want to dance or hear music.You would think, getting people drunk makes everything better and more fun, right? Well if you can't get them drunk because the bar service was taking such a long time, then you are gonna have a lot of bored, sober customers. I did not drink but all I know, for the rest of my group, it was taking 15 minutes to get a couple simple cocktails. You could probably walk to the liquor store across the street and chug a beer quicker than you could get a round of drinks. This place has potential. It was not a bad space overall for a lounge type bar. The décor, aesthetic, and lighting gave it a nice ambiance. They just need to get adequate staff to serve the drinks and play music.

My friends and I visited during December and got to see the holiday decor which was fun and festive. This is a small bar and the drink menu is pretty limited, but we ended up staying because the DJ played good music and later in the night, the middle of the room turned into a little dance floor. If you want seats, make sure to get there earlier in the night to try and snag a table!

Downtown Gilbert is not exactly known for its cocktail bars, so we sometimes end up here when people want a cocktail. It's a little dirty, and the cocktails aren't original at all. The lighting inside is cool, but overall, it's not a very good cocktail bar.

This place was so cute! We went here with my parents friends, who have been there before. It is definitely a hidden spot as I have been to downtown Gilbert plenty of times and never knew if this place! If you know where the white rabbit is then you can find this spot. The place is very cool just going inside. After your ID is checked you go through a small hallway that is decorated with unique pictures. Once you go through the curtain the room is covered in lights (like the picture). It is a smaller room but because it is connected to a speakeasy it is not very crowded. The menu has a lot of unique drinks on it that are delicious! My mom tried a coconut martini (which was my favorite), I tried the espresso martini which was still good but a little more rich for me, and then we both tried a drink called "the bag" which is like an adult caprisun. That night it was really good but the flavor changes every night. The vibes were just as great as the drinks! The music was fun all night. It was a pretty good mix of 2000s, oldies, pop, etc. it felt like a top hits playlist. There is limited seating inside and few tables to stand at but still enough room for those who want to dance. I would definitely go back here!

Very cool vibe! The DJ was solid! Very eclectic crowd young and old getting jiggy with it! Do people say that anymore? Oh well I do so deal with it. Definitely come down and have a drink and good time. 4 because the drinks are pretty pricey.

Hubs and I stopped by to check this place out after leaving joyride. I found it to be very cute and well lit. We arrived before the band and didn't stay long enough to hear them but still had an enjoyable time. We each had two drinks before deciding to go to the arcade. We'll definitely return and maybe catch some tunes next time!

They asked if We wanted to use the bathroom faster but did not let us know we had to wait in a long line to get back in! No acknowledgment that the person now having to wait 20 minutes to get back inside may be having someone waiting inside with a reservation, horrible staff

Amazing place!!! I came here for my 21st birthday and wouldn't trade the experience for the world. The drinks were awesome! I had the blueberry ginger limeade and it was BOMB.COM! Definitely recommend that drink for SURE! The dj was really awesome too and played super good music. Would recommend getting there a bit early, it fills up FAST!

Very cool ambiance, red lighting and a great dj. I wish they had more seating but overall its a really fun spot. Gets super crowded on weekends after 9 pm. We've been there twice. Fun spot. Friendly staff. Clean bathrooms. Give it a try.

Idk when I've been so disappointed. Our party of 7 were so excited to try new place and while dancing a couple in our party tripped and as a result we were told to leave after "having too much to drink". We had just ordered our first drink. Wow. I would NEVER recommend this place.
