The Parlay Kitchen + Cocktails

Omg what a cool place - we were visiting from Chicago and came in for apps and drinks. It's such a pretty space and we (AZ family included) were so glad we found it. The food was delicious - I loved the Poke and the Apple Bruschetta the most. My husband had the Passion Fruit Mai Tai and I had a Paper Plane - one of my favorite at home cocktails - so cool to see it on a drink list. The Rosemary Poppins was also very creative. We sat at the bar and Tracy took great care of us and had all the answers to our questions. We loved it and will come back next time we are in town.

I visited Parlay Kitchen after its grand reopening, and it did not disappoint! The food was excellent, and the drinks have been completely upgraded from the previous restaurant--100 times better. The ingredients are fresher, more flavorful, and thoughtfully crafted. The mixology has significantly improved, making for some truly standout cocktails.Living in the area, I can say this is a perfect spot for great food and well-crafted drinks. The atmosphere still has a sports bar feel, making it a great place to catch a game and enjoy time with family. The back patio has been beautifully upgraded with gorgeous lighting and comfortable seating, creating a much more inviting space. Everything feels fresh, new, and elevated.If you haven't been yet, I definitely recommend checking it out!

NOT impressed!Both times we've been greeted by a hostess with an attitude. Like we should be thankful they allowed us to dine there. We had one bad then one good service from the wait staff, so not sure which is the norm yet. The food is premium priced, but only a couple dishes so far were worth the price. Just not a place we feel like going to regularly like we did as their former restaurant Fat Willy's. We ate there once a week. We have only been to Parlays twice and just not impressed with the food or service at that price.

I've been here twice and this last time was for a birthday celebration. Both times the service was slow. In this last visit -1. The positive: Servers have been upbeat and friendly. 2. Food did not come out at the same time. Only 1 person in our party of 5 was served while the rest of us had to wait. 3. Fries were cold and oddly thin (we kindly requested replacement), hot sandwich was not warm enough, beer cheese sauce was cold, the mushroom soup had thick film on the top which indicates that it was sitting out for a while before serving. 4. Charging for soda water? I also wanted more but was never asked for a refill. This place is close to home so we were hoping this would be our new local hangout.

Steak was alittle undercooked and not very hot. Fries were good. Service was great felt like I was seen. It's a nice little food and cocktail establishment. Very low light lowkey. I was quite comfy. Cocktail menu was alittle overwhelming. House wine was delicious. I'll be back to try the fish it looked good.

Was so excited to see that The Parlay was opening up right by my house. I had been to their other location and enjoyed myself there. Well this new location is just as good. Great food and service. Also a very nice happy hour deals as well. So many tasty options on the menu, I can't wait to go back.

Second time in and have to admit, I am very disappointed. The server was nice, the Manhattan was excellent but the food was not up to my expectations. I ordered fish and chips and requested that the chips be extra crispy. As it turned out I should have also requested the fish to be crispy as both the fish and the chips were undercooked. The fries were soft and mushy. I brought that to the attention of the server and he apologized. I guess that is where it was left. My expectations are that he would bring it up to management so they can correct the issue but I guess I will never know. For the price that this establishment charges, I would expect better.

So excited there's a location so close to our house! We decided to stop in on a Fri night at 515pm and got seated almost right away. The place is packed (both in the dining room and bar area). Love that they have so much space inside, plus the patio, and a private room for special occasions!The place is completely different from the old Fat Willy's that was here. As soon as you open the door, you can immediately sense the lively ambiance with an elevated Gastropub feel. The potted plant chandeliers are gorgeous, as well as the wood panel accents, the wine wall, and the AZ scape mural. Our server Isaac greeted us almost immediately and filled us in on the little history of the renovation, and he was great helping me order a modified cocktail (I got the Mai Tai minus the dark rum, so the bartender added some extra pineapple rum).Hubby ordered the Shrimp Pesto pasta and the Scottsdale blonde. The pesto was tasty, though he said thought it was more creamy and cheesy than having the pesto flavor he'd anticipated. The prawns were just about perfect; very well-cooked and seasoned. The only negative was having to take the tails off (not pleasant with a creamy sauce).I got the berry salad with a side of French fries (again Isaac was great offering input on which version of the fries he prefers). The salad was the perfect size and you could tell the berries and greens are fresh. The dressing was the perfect compliment and it was all delicious. The French fries were bomb..."meaty" centers with crisp battered outside. They were devoured! The drink was tropical and delicious, and Isaac was great helping me get an extra shot of the juice since I'm a weakling with alcohol!Service was spectacular, restaurant was neat, and clean, and there was a bonus with the live music that started at 6. Oh and they have plenty of TVs to catch the games!!

A great experience! This was my first time at this location. The menu is so much better than Fat Willies! I ordered the green chile sliders and I thought they were very tasty - the slaw really punches it up! My husband liked his burger too - he like the char on it. He tends to get them plain so the flavor of the burger wasn't hidden by all the add-ons. The atmosphere was very pretty too. We had great service from Hannah. It was a little dark to see the menu, but I chalk that up to old eyes! We will be back!

Love this place! Tracy is such a great bartender! She is always super attentive to everything. She recommended the Asian zing wings, which were amazing! Also recommended the wedge salad( it's huge! Had to take it home.) we will be back. Especially when Tracy is working.
