The Mexicano Pop-Up

I came here for lunch and 6 hours later, I am still full. So much food with my order, I loved everything that was on the hot sizzling pot.As I walked in, I can't believe this is a pop-up. Loved the decor and ambiance.Staff was friendly and efficient.The food! Oh wow, I tried the hot sizzling pot with combination of meat and seafood. It's enough for both lunch and dinner, perhaps more. Lots of flavor in the sauce, I couldn't stop eating while my stomach was telling me I was already full.They have so much options for drinks, I should come back for dinner sometimes.

You wouldn't even know it's a temporary location with how well their setup is! Great service from the start and the DJ playing had some awesome hits. Food is just as delicious and the drinks too. Took some friends from out of town and they loved it.Honestly can't go wrong with anything on their menu. We had the Sonoran Molcajete, and Carne Asada Fajitas. If needed, you can make a reservation on their website. The restaurant is located in a shopping center, therefore there's plenty of parking. Shoutout to Laura and Luis! Great service from them both.

Was super excited when I saw the "pop-up" sign out front of the new/temporary location! We decided to check it out since we'd been craving The Mexicano since it shut down. The hostess team was OUTSTANDING! They were very accommodation and quick. Also super friendly. Nothing but smiles from them. The inside was really nice as well. Ver well decorated. Kind of a whimsical vibe with lots of butterflies near the entrance. Where my problem was lies with the food and service. Our server seemed to be a little too lackadaisical. She took way too long to greet us, and even longer to take our order. The food, to me, wasn't the same as the original location. It seemed kind of just thrown together. I didn't even finish my appetizer or entree. Overall, The Mexicano pop-up felt like it's a bit rushed and thrown together.

It's bacccckkkk (in pop-up form at the Rosticceria) and honestly, they brought so much of the Mexicano over that you may think you're at the original. I really like this space better than the other- parking is way easier, the space is different but feels less packed. Same amazing menu- couldn't wait to dig into some fresh guac and birria tacos- so so good. Love the patio, the greenery on the walls and the fiesta vibes. Same great service (and even folks you'll recognize are back!)! Thank you, Chef Joey, for bringing this staple back while we wait for the original to be restored.

BEST potato tacos and carnita tacos out there!!! As a vegetarian it's hard to find a delicious vegetarian taco but search no more.. These potato tacos were phenomenal and I have tried a few!! If you want a meat option, our son loved the carnitas tacos!!! The pop op location is great and the staff was very welcoming.. They are moving back to their original location soon and they are opening up a Chandler location!! This is our new go to place for tacos

We were told about this restaurant from a manager at another restaurant owned by the same chef. We came here for lunch and it was delicious! We had the sweet corn empanadas, trio of tacos - shrimp, fish and potato and all the food was really good! We love spicy salsa and they brought out a habanero salsa that was yummy. We understand this is a temp-location and will be excited to try the original location once it is back open. This location was really nice for a temp!

So happy to have this place here until they open at the org location. This is my favorite lunch spot place for great eats for affordable prices. The place is really cute and has a cozy vibe with beautiful indoor outdoor feel at the bar. The quality is the same as old location. I need to get in for their amazing happy hour specials & the best margaritas ever.

We are ready for you all! Come to the Mexicano Pop up! Same flavors, same crew, same ambiance at the old Rosticceria location!! Who knows Chef Joey himself may be around..

I have eaten at the restaurant and it was excellent. I ordered DoorDash from the pop up last night. Wife got the $35 Chicken fajitas with a side a black beans. The beans came as if fresh from refrigerator. Ice Cold. The fajitas came with zero condiments. No pico, No guacamole, and no sour cream. My wife was very disappointed. In middle of a movie so I had to order Sour Cream from Safeway for wife via Doordash for $10. She ate them but didn't enjoy with so much was missing. Appears zero effort was taken on the fajitas. My Chile Relleno Carne burrito was fine. Not worth $25 but still good.
