The Magic Pig Barbecue

We were looking for someone to cater a small birthday party of about a dozen people. Found the Magic Pig here on yelp. Contacted Phillip who is "the man" for the biz. Had a great conversation and decided to go with him. We are glad that we did! He delivered everything on time, nicely packaged and hot. We had ribs, pulled pork and chicken. The pulled pork was "the bomb." Everybody loved it. The chicken was excellent and noteworthy for being boneless. The ribs were top quality. In addition, we had potato salad and beans. I am not usually a big fan of beans, but these were a little spicy and very good. I flat out loved the potato salad. Just enough seasoning and celery to make it crunch. For all of that, the cost was very reasonable and there was enough for everyone to take home a plate.Hey, if you arelooking to have an event catered, and in the mood for barbecue, you couldn't do better. The only thing I would note, his ribs are spice rubbed and he doesn't use a sauce. Some people prefer barbecue sauce. I think that Carolina style sauce would work the best. I had some on hand and reheated some of the ribs with the sauce and they were fabulous. Just a note.

Every time we cruise down Bethany Home and see The Magic Pig at the corner, you better believe we're gonna stop and get us some of that delicious BBQ! We've had the spicy sausage links, pulled pork, chicken, potato salad and always a cold root beer to compliment all the amazing flavors. We highly recommend stopping by if you see The Magic Pig on the corner of Bethany Home and 7th St!
