I've been to this place a few times and decided to stop by again for a quiet coffee break after dropping my kids off at school. I love everything about it--from the friendly service and flavorful coffee to the spacious layout and relaxing atmosphere. This spot is perfect for meeting up with friends, hosting group discussions, brainstorming sessions, or simply enjoying some quiet time alone. It truly has something for everyone.I ordered a Caramel Macchiato, my absolute favorite, and as always, it was perfectly balanced and delicious. The shop is open from Sunday to Wednesday but closes Thursday to Saturday due to church events. It's also a popular venue for weddings and large gatherings. If you're looking for a cozy spot for a special occasion or just a peaceful coffee break, this place is definitely worth checking out. As for me, I know I'll be back again soon!

Ran across this place on the way to a meeting in the area when I was in town for a work trip. At first I wasn't sure if the map was sending me to the right location, but then I saw a few reassuring signs that there was in fact a coffee shop on the grounds of this church. What a pretty coffee shop and such sweet people with great coffee! 1. They have coconut milk, love that. 2. They have a variety of flavors for your lattes. 3. Their coffee is great. 4. Plenty of room to post up and chill, work, chat or just enjoy the space. 5. Super sweet staff. What's not to love?

Commons Coffehouse is located down in Gilbert within a cool modern building housed on the campus of Redemption Church. The building is large, bright, and open, letting in tons of natural light through the garage door style windows. I enjoyed reading my book inside along with a nice lotus energy drink in front of the large windows. Then I was ready for lunch and to head outdoors. The staff were all friendly and welcoming and even checking on me throughout my stay. You can't go wrong with the sandwich menu since it's made with Boar's Head meats and Noble bread. They also have burgers and a quesadilla. I took my Savory Italian ciabatta panini outside to enjoy the perfect AZ fall weather and views of the large grass lawn. The savory sandwich and peaceful atmosphere was just what I needed for a chill day off.

unfortunately the experience here was less than ideal even though I had such high hopes! The main factor getting the stars for this review is the space. it is expansive, clean, and modern. I would have been a regular here because there is plenty of seating that would allow for me to do any work with less distraction lol. The service was also what added the additional star because the baristas were courteous and nice. Unfortunately, what was docking the rest of the stars is two things...one was a foul odor that emitted the space. It was almost like toilet overflowing smell which is not appetizing when you are looking to grab a drink and a bit. Although we had planned to get food too, my friend and I decided just to stick with drinks. I opted for a blended dirty chai and unfortunately it was terrible. It did not taste like there was any espresso in it and the chair itself tasted so artificial and had a weird aftertaste. I was considering asking for another drink but saw that they were super busy and we opted not to wait. Unfortunately with this experience I am unsure if I'd come back. xx

This place is a little hidden gem. It is so cute with bright open space, with floor to ceiling windows. It's tucked back in a church. The food is good and the staff are incredibly sweet. Food came out quick and is fresh. Whenever I'm in the area I will be returning. Great little place to work too for the professionals.

I have been looking for a new place to study and I came across The Commons. The coffee shop is located on a church campus. The dining area is very open and pretty. I ordered an iced americano and the price was super reasonable. I think it was only $3. The employee behind the counter was helpful and sweet. I ended up spending 3 hours in the sitting area working on homework. I would recommend!

Nice, large space with lots of tables. There were two tables devoted to groups and since this coffee place is located in the Redemption Church complex, my guess is that they were bible study groups. The grounds are fabulous - there must be 20-30 acres of space with grass, walkways, etc. very beautiful. I ordered a single breakfast sandwich and it was good. I was surprised that orange juice was not available. There also wasn't any salt. I could have asked for it but there was a big line at the counter. There wasn't much service to speak of since it's a counter service place. The workers were very friendly, though. Would I come here again? Yes, if I was in the area, which is Gilbert.

Lovely place to study, hangout, chill, read, or grab a cup of coffee. Prices are very reasonable and there are tons of tables and couches to hangout at. My only issue is that the hours are very limited and they are closed 3 days of the week. From the road the coffee shop is not visible but it is located next to Redemption Church, once you enter the parking lot, follow the signs and it'll take you there!

This is my second trip to The Commons, and I brought my wife. The first time was pretty good and I thought let's try it together. Was a simple order 2 coffees 2 burritos and a pastry. The 2 stars, not 1, is for the friendly people and the food. The coffee, which I can only assume is the 7 Plagues of Egypt blend, was the single worst cup of coffee we've ever had. My wife manages a coffee shop, and we hit local spots regularly, so I can comfortably say we are coffee connoisseurs. This is a Coffee Shop, so your signature drink should be great. The fact that it's part of a church should make quality even more important. There won't be any converts because of this coffee for sure.
