This is a great new neighborhood restaurant that has a the feel of a local cafe. The owners are incredibly nice and they interact and great everyone. The food is well priced and homemade. My salad was delicious and large for $14, their To-Go is always quick 10-15 minutes for pick up. This makes it so easy to grab a healthy lunch to go. There are not many healthy restaurants in the area but they have something for everyone from burgers to sandwiches, fish, steak and several $10 daily specials. Sun Lakes is very limited in eating options but this cafe should be at the Top of your List!

If you want down home cooking this is it! Their biscuits and gravy are delicious. The service is impeccable, and the staff is exceptionally nice. It has changed hands, but the food is the same, delicious!

Possibly the worst breakfast I've ever had. Ordered the corn beef hash, it was basically mush, possibly blended I suppose. It was bland and disgusting. The country fried potatoes were hard, not cooked and I have no idea what the flavoring was supposed to be. I had two bites of the meal, ate my sourdough toast which also was marginal, got up, paid my tab and left. I told the checker the meal was the worst I've ever had, he gave us no answer except, "I will let the owner know". What a disappointment that cost $34.00. I hate to give a local business a bad review like this but lord, are you kidding me? We won't be back.....

We ordered the Grilled Alaskan cod to-go for my 94-yr-old MIL, explaining that we needed a "low-fat, low-sodium" meal, for health reasons. The menu clearly stated that this was served with a lemon caper white wine sauce, grilled asparagus and seasoned baby baked potatoes. We asked for no capers.When the driver we booked delivered it, she opened the packaging and found she had been given breaded deep-fried Cod in a butter sauce! She had to peel off all the breading, and wipe off the butter sauce. She did not enjoy the meal, as a result, although, to be fair, the veggies were apparently good.We called the restaurant the next day, and spoke to Junior, the manager. He was unable to help at all, saying he needed to check with the owner, Jon.Junior called back the next day, and told my wife that the owner refuses to address the matter in any way, whether partial refund, replacement, or anything. We were effectively told to go fly a kite, though Junior was apologetic. They had our money, so were out of luck.We cannot, in good conscience, recommend this establishment, as our one experience clearly shows the owner has no qualms about exploiting elderly customers. Shame.

Went there for dinner this evening. My wife ordered the combination plate, 3 shrimp looked as if someone used a rolling pin to flatten them out, breaded and over cooked. The fish fillet was about 2 fingers wide and about 3 1/2 inches long and flattened and over cooked. (2 fish sticks are larger.) There were 5-6 thin breaded calamari strips over French fries. All for $17.99.I had the Country Fried Steak; gravy was bland. It was fine with mashed potatoes and corn. $15.99. Service was good. There were only 3 tables in use at 5 PM. Disappointed. We will take a pass on another meal there.

The food was fine as was the ambience. The issue was the server. Management needs to have a conversation with him about being hospitable to his guest. He was disengaged and busy looking around at other tables while taking our order. He just dropped off the bill at our table in a rather rude way. Not coming back.

This restaurant is under a new name thus " The Buttered Biscuit." I really liked it under Biscuits. We always had the best service and choice of good food. Today it was exceptionally good. You are greeted at the door and seated with a great menu. They serve breakfast and lunch and close by 2 p.m. Service was wonderful and food hardy, filling and plenty. I had the huevos rancheros and it was good. My husband had biscuits and gravy, eggs, hash browns and crispy fried spam. He was very pleased. There are the usual breakfast items and a really great selection. Something for everyone, even the kiddies.The lunch is equally as large and the American menu offers a lot of choices.Restaurant was busy and serving staff friendly while the selection of food items will keep us coming back. This is a great one to try.
