This place is so cool! With flaming cocktails, delish food and incredible service - you would never know that you're behind a pizza joint!

I love the ambience in here. The fire feature is lovely. I like the speakeasy vibes and the subtle entrance. There was plenty of room for bigger groups and many little tables for a cozy date night.The cocktail I ordered was unavailable. This, to me, is like a pizza place running out of pepperoni. My second choice was good. I wanted to try a bespoke tequila-based drink, the bartender did not have any ideas other than a paloma, which seemed pretty basic to me.I am a big fan of Crust next door, I hope that this bar can level up a bit to match the quality over there. In the future I will probably just go to Crust and order drinks there.

Very nice ambience. The late night items were delicious. Everything we ordered was very tasty.The drinks were delicious and the presentation was beautiful.There overall experience was good, only recommendation is for the waiters to be a little more attentive. Took a little longer to order more drinks.

I was previously here for an event and was waiting for the opportunity to come back. This place is even better than I remembered. Excellent cocktails and they now server the full menu from Crust. Looking forward to many return visits.

This our go-to for cocktails and food. Everything on the menu is spot on. The drinks are mixed to perfection. Wine by the glass is limited but the options are solid.

Cute place. We were the 1st ones there. I like getting the calm before the storm. It was a Wednesday evening. The drinks are theirs, but the food is from next doors. Crust Simply Italian restaurant they share space with. Smart idea!! When we 1st got there, we had very attentive staff. By the end, we were waiting for them to come by and ask if we wanted another drink or to get our check... we waited 20 min before we initiated contact. By then, we passed on 1 more drink each and just opted for the check. The place is dark and intimate, playing current music. We enjoyed their drinks.... great presentation and taste! It's a great 1 time experience but not worth a 1 hour drive in rush hour.

We went back for the highly anticipated new menu that we heard a lot about. And it did not disappoint. Wow. They have some amazing new cocktails. We always go see Suede and Zach for our Wednesday date night. By far the best addition to our neighborhood. A++++

We happened to be in the Gilbert area so we decided to check out The Blue Heron. As soon as we walked in I was impressed with the decor. Its low lit with nice seating and had all the "speak easy" vibes. The drinks were yummy and the Mediterranean salad was also good! For our main course we ordered the Chicken Francese but neither my husband and I really cared for it. The flavor was just blaw considering its made with lemon and white wine. The chicken wasn't seasoned well and the breading was soggy. Our server did let the manager know and he came over and apologized. We thanked him and let him know we really liked the drinks and salad. Overall it was a nice experience.

Great decisions all around!I I ordered the Wet Your Beak (Koloa Coffee Rum, St Elizabeth Allspice Dram, Averno Amaro Pedro Ximenez Sherry, lime, and egg) and it was a delight! It felt like having dessert while also having some booze. The vibes are nice and the staff is friendly. They serve food at this speakeasy as well. Enjoy!

I was a regular at The Ostrich when I lived next to the Crust location in Chandler. This is Crust Simply Italian's second speakeasy concept located at the Verde at Cooley Station development in Gilbert. Happy Hour is the best time to visit when they offer discounted prices on food and drinks Tuesday to Friday from 5-6pm. The Blue Heron is located right next door to Crust and has a nice cool vibe to it. The lights are dimmed and the walls are adorned with photos of birds. The Blue Heron is known for their craft cocktails and the fun names that they have for them. I have had their Ostrich Pornstar, Midnight in Tokyo, Wet Your Beak and the always popular Espresso Martini. Many of the names for their drinks reference a bird. Appetizers are made East Coast-style and come directly from Crust next door. I highly recommend the meatballs. Make it a fun night and enjoy a Rustica-shaped pizza over at Crust Simply Italian and then head over to Blue Heron for some drinks.
