Tera Fe

In October 2023, I met a woman dealing with the same menopausal and thyroid issues I face. She recommended TeraFe, saying they'd helped her a lot. I made an appointment, and after an initial meeting with a nurse focused on weight loss medications, I met Dr. Gregory Allen. His pitch was convincing, and though I had reservations, I was desperate for help and barely able to get out of bed. I ended up enrolling in their $100/month membership for a year.Dr. Allen has a persuasive, almost salesy approach, and they persuaded me to buy supplements from their office, leaving me $500 lighter just for vitamins. Later, I discovered these supplements were available online for a quarter of the price, meaning they mark them up four times in-office.When it came time to review my bloodwork, I was assigned Nurse Lari, who often called me from her car, on speakerphone, without even having my chart in front of her. This made it impossible for her to review my case accurately. After months of mishandled prescriptions and poor communication, I requested that only Dr. Allen contact me for follow-ups. Still, issues persisted: prescriptions were called in incorrectly, sent to the wrong locations, and my records even had the wrong spelling of my name and incorrect birthdate, causing constant issues at the pharmacy.Recently, a pharmacy employee informed me that Dr. Allen frequently calls in prescriptions inaccurately, leading to unnecessary expenses. He had told me that a 400 mg progesterone pill wasn't available, which I found out was false. When I spoke with Dr. Allen a few weeks ago, explaining that his treatment plan wasn't helping, he instructed me to stop my medication entirely--a recommendation I found alarming, as I rely on it to function. After paying thousands of dollars, my thyroid is still not functioning properly, and I've gained 50 pounds. I went to TeraFe to stabilize my hormones and improve thyroid function, but instead, I feel worse than when I started and have lost both money, time and energy. I deeply regret ever setting foot in TeraFe. Their treatment has caused me unnecessary suffering, and I am extremely disappointed in both the doctor and their approach. I urge others to avoid this office and seek care elsewhere.He would make inappropriate jokes about raising my testosterone levels from 0 to 1400--a level that's clearly not normal--and would ask personal questions about my sex life, even suggesting my husband must be thrilled. Despite claiming to take a natural approach, I ended up on an overwhelming amount of synthetic medications--it's incredibly disheartening.

Wish I could do 0 stars. Be aware of the membership you get nothing for 1200. All I wanted was 1 script a month to be called in and I couldn't even get that. Call after call and nothing. Run as fast as you can away from this place

I've been in menopause for over 9 years and went to Dr Allen for hormone therapy. He put me on such high doses of hormones that my uterus now thinks it's a 20 yr old "working" uterus. (Proliferative endometrium). After spending $$$$ @ his office for the year contract I am now spending double that trying to fix the damage he caused. Having surgeries & procedures that I would've never needed had I not gone to him. Please DO NOT go here for any kind of hormone therapy. He talks a good talk & makes you think he's going to take care of all your hormonal problems but has caused SO many more problems.

I love this facility and the employees!! The doctors are so understanding and caring as well as the staff. They make you feel so comfortable!! Can't recommend enough!!

If I could give zero stars I would. I was talked into a membership - what does that even entail?! Literally nothing. No follow up, no nothing. I paid $1200 for a membership and for what?! I expected way more for what I paid

I'm sure the spa side is nice but BEWARE of Dr. Allen and his " natural hormone" treatments. I was told he had a natural approach for my thyroid being SLIGHTY elevated. I was 22 years old and healthy otherwise, he had me on two different synthetic thyroid medications and my tsh and t3,t4 were all 0, he saw these results and told me everything looked great and sent me on my way. At the time I trusted way too much in this treatment, and took this medication for almost a whole year before seeking outside opinions. It's been years and years of trusting my body and doctors again. It turns out I don't need thyroid medication at all. My now doctor who has also been in the valley for years knew exactly who Dr. Allen was and has seen many patients from him with similar stories. I don't write bad reviews for fun. Seriously think twice before you see this "natural hormone" doctor.

They didn't seem to care about my needs. Only the money I gave them. I paid for my own blood work and Dr. notes from another place before coming to Tera Fe and all they did was give me prescriptions according to the other Drs. notes. I gave them a big down payment and I was charged $79 monthly. After 3 months I had to have more bloodwork done to see how I was doing. The prescriptions ran out before the next appt. I wasn't going to pay for more prescriptions until I knew what the bloodwork showed. When I told the office I wanted to quit they said I would be charged for two more months.
