Tempe Festival of the Arts is a nice way to a few hours. It's a fairly large number of artist booths compared to other Art Festivals in the Valley. If your were to put all of them on one street, there would be over a mile of artists and other vendors. This year I enjoyed the live music area in front of Pedal House. This was one of the areas where adult beverages were able to be served.

Another fun festival in Tempe. This is the winter festival with many blocks of artists selling their wares. It was a warm day and attendees were enjoying themselves and the artwork. There is seating to listen to live music or just rest your weary body. Food vendors and business stands offering free samples in hopes of continued sales. Slots of storefronts along the way to stop and shop. Plenty of restaurants both sit down and casual to choose from. Port-a-potties are available. Buy your art at these festivals and save the cost of going to a gallery. Good deals to be had especially on the last day when artists may not want to cart away so many things. You never know, you just might be able to negotiate a deal within reason.Street parking and WiFi in some of the larger stores.

Always love the art festival. Mostly great vendors. They've added some vendors that I question if it's art or trash. The art is hit or miss. But I love the food and cosmetic aisles. Parking sucks. You have to pay for parking and it is crowded. Probably best to ride the light rail in but that has its own negatives. Overall it's a fun day event.

This year was Wonderful- weather, vendors, food, entertainment, etc. There seemed to be a beautiful air of joy and hopefulness blowing about the atmosphere. The crowds were large but never felt overwhelming. The vendor diversity was great. Shopping for the holidays was fast and easy. Was it my imagination, or were there more vendors, and more entertainment stages this year? Either way, I really enjoyed the Festival in a way I hadn't in times past. Thanks Tempe!

We have been attending this festival for many years now, and it is absolutely one of our favorite in the United States. Both the spring shows and the winter shows are so well done; It is difficult to find a comparison. Maybe it is the gorgeous Phoenix weather that makes it so special, but the fact that you can wander the booths in December on a 70° day listening to fabulous music and smelling the kettle corn makes it so fabulous. Our trick is to visit on Friday, since the Saturday and Sunday crowds can be overwhelming- to us anyway. Plus you get first dibs at some of the fantastic artwork, food products and unique gifts. It's a bonus that our college student lives here as well as we get to spend the day with her too- yay!I always mark my calendar a good six months in advance, as we just simply do not miss the show. There's plenty to do for everyone in the family, including a kids area. In years past we had to visit there first for the face painting. Not so much now she'd rather have fresh honeycomb :)Definitely take the time to explore this one if you haven't been before!!

I've been attending the Tempe Festival of Arts for many years. This event is hosted twice a year (winter and spring) and encompasses the entire downtown Tempe area on Mill Ave. Tempe has been hosting this event for over 50 years and does a good job of keeping things organized. Over 350 artists from all over the U.S. will come out to showcase their art. There is also food options and street performers. Tempe Arts Festival is a fun family event to check out during the Valley's cooler weather months. It's a great place to shop during the holiday season as there are lots of gifts ideas here.
