Taqueria Guadalajara

We had taqueria Guadalajara for my son's graduation party. We had a crowd of around 125 people. Pedro, the taco chef from taqueria Guadalajara managed things perfectly. He kept the line moving, made sure everyone had what they needed. He even packaged up the leftovers for us to have the next day. Our guests are still raving about the taste and quality of the food. Everyone's favorite was the chorizo. Pedro doesn't speak any English and my Spanish isn't very good but between Google translate, my poor Spanish, and the international language of tacos, we did great. I would absolutely use taqueria Guadalajara again and I would recommend them to everyone.

Solid Mexican food. Loved their flautas and my dad loves their cheese enchiladas. The service was really nice and friendly. Great location if you want to take a nice walk. The parking lot is weird but doable. I mostly also love the atmosphere of this place; lots of old vintage Mexican history with wonderful historical photographs. Definitely would return.

Looks like this may be this companies MO: after reading this review below We had this taqueria cater for our grandson's 1st birthday party. We contracted for 50 people at $500, for 2 hours. They ran out of food an hour and a half later and not everyone had a chance to eat. When we complained to Hector Sr. he argued with us saying that they portioned out for 4 street tacos per person, and 38 people ate more than 4 tacos each. That didn't happen. He refused to accept less pay for the less food and ended up ripping us off.My advice to anyone reading this is to look somewhere else for better food and service.My review: I SEE that this happens to them alot. We hired them to cater our rehearsal dinner, ordering $660 worth of food and drink, which was suppose to feed 50 people. We only had 35 people there by 6:30pm, started at 5, when they ran out of food!! Very disappointing. His workers were nice but this is an unacceptable way to operate a business. Buyer Beware.

The food was very good, but there were two main issues that negatively impacted the event:1. Only a single person was sent to serve an event for 90 people. The gentleman who came was very nice and pleasant, but there only being a single person caused a long line to form. Because there was only one person, the line would continue to build as he had to pause to cook more meat.  This caused dinner to last about 45 minutes longer than we had planned, causing us to have to push back the other events we had planned for the night.2. Even though about only 75-80 people ended up staying for dinner, most of the meat ran out, resulting in people not getting enough food. A few of my family members who were helping run the party did not get any dinner as the meat had run out by the time they were able to eat.Due to there not being enough food even though 10-15 people did not show up to the party, and the long wait lines, I asked the owner to refund me for 20 people. He refused, and said that they supplied plenty of food and that the wait time was not a problem. I would not recommend them for large events

If anyone out there is looking for a taco cart business to cater your next party, call Taqueria Guadalajara. I had been looking for a taco cart to cater my husband's 75th birthday. Everyone I called didn't provide a mobile taco cart option. I'm so happy that I found Taqueria Guadalajara. I called and spoke with Hector and it was very easy to navigate their website. On the day of the party, Manuel arrived with the cart and the food. Set-up was quick and within 30 minutes, the tacos were ready. The food was wonderful and very tasty.. we had pollo, carne asada, barbacoa and carnitas along with rice, beans and all the condiments anyone would need. Everyone at the party LOVED the food.I definitely recommend Taqueria Guadalajara and will be hiring them again in the future.Thank you Hector

Attended a party catered by Hector. Food was excellent, toppings fresh and cold, barbacoa and carne asada tacos were awesome! I especially enjoyed the guacamole salsa!

We just had Taqueria Guadalajara for my sons birthday. They were great from beginning to end. I called with a question and they were very friendly, booking was easy online with a $100 deposit. They have reminders that go out before the event too. They are less about phone interaction but I prefer the emails and felt comfortable. They came 45 mins before the party to set up and it was great- we did carne asada, pollo asada and carnitas. They were all great! I loved the topping too fresh cabbage, cilantro, onions, and so many more fresh ingredients to compliment the tacos. Really good rice and beans too. Multiple people at the party said they would use them in the future. Glad we found them on yelp!

I have been in the food business for 40 years and all I wanted was to hire someone that would take care of my guests like I have always done for others. When I first started looking for a Taco caterer I spoke to several companies. When I spoke to Hector I found him to have great communication skills and knew he really cared about my event and wanted it to be great. He listened to what I wanted, and created a package just for me. I think his pricing is more than fair. Sure there is cheaper by a few dollars, but QUALITY costs a bit more. I think the experience was a bargain. Food was great, and his staff was equally great. I can't imagine anyone not being happy with his services. I later found out that he is recommended by several high end event facilities in Scottsdale. Hector... many thanks! .

Unprofessional, unorganized and no clear communication. I wrote the Event Manager Hector to let him know of my experience and I didn't appreciate the excuses I received. We hired taqueria guadalajara for a quarterly meeting catering service for 100 people. One worker showed up. Roy was more worried about the set up and how many tacos to serve on the plate rather than just setting up and serving tacos. Roy was complaining about the area he needed to set up at because there wasn't enough shade, however I had sent his boss pictures of the area weeks in advance. I kept having to remind him to not set a limit on tacos and that it was on a first come first serve basis. I had suggested Taqueria Guadalajara to my boss because I had an amazing experience for my 15th birthday (a long time ago). But I highly recommend going with a different company now a days if you don't want to be left embarrassed and stressed.I would give no stars if I could.

We did not have enough food (Taco meats) for the amount of guests I paid for (50). We traveled to AZ from CA and in CA they factor 4-5 tacos per person. Well according to the Taco man, they alot 2-3 tacos? An adult hungry Latino eats their fill of a good Taco, which it was. We expressed our concerns to the Taco man, and he somewhat agreed with our claim (he was a full sized man). No concessions were made. No apologies given and we had to order delivery pizzas for our remaining guests. I, the host, did not eat so that one more of my guests could eat.Please ask questions and you will have to pay for extra if you have guests that enjoy tacos.
