Sweet Simon

Jesse and Sweet Simon's is a lifesaver! I am so grateful to have found this bakery with having a gluten-free family and many food allergies. The bento cakes are so moist and beautifully decorated. Perfect for family celebrations. Jesse quickly answered my questions about ingredients and turned around a custom cake on short notice. I am so grateful to have this gem in the East Valley.

Sweet Simon is a gem in Mesa. Both my kids are lactose intolerant with one also having a gluten allergy. Finding this bakery has been a lifesaver! Jesse and his mom are very friendly. To top it off their cupcakes are delicious and stunning. I ordered two different sets for my boys' birthdays and we received multiple compliments. I am definitely a repeat customer!

Don't wait. Just go. Eat cake. You will be craving it for breakfast the next day!! Here is what is special about Sweet Simon: it is the FIRST gluten free cake I have eaten that is honestly delicious: moist, rich and not too sweet. Most gf desserts hide the flavor with extra sugar and I never like it or the grainy texture. This was like a European cake that is just sweet enough and allows the rich creamy frosting carry the sweetness. Also, the variety and flavors are completely customizable!! They are so creative and willing to work with customers- so kind and totally professional. I don't know how they do it; it is the most magical gluten free cake I have ever had. We ordered my daughter's wedding cake from Jesse and IT WAS GONE! You know how at most weddings there are leftovers?? Well, we had maybe four pieces left- people were putting pieces in paper coffee cups to take with them. It was that good. And yes, ALL of it was gluten free- for all 290 guests! It was so good that after the wedding as we were upstairs (eating more cake), we began to actually wonder if it was indeed gluten free (I was having this conversation with friends who are NOT gluten free) and they had me questioning whether the hotel had mixed up our cake and served us a different one. I seriously called the management to make sure. They assured me Sweet Simon had delivered the cake we ate. It is crazy good. Order it for your next event!

Food is amazing!!! They have amazing gluten free and vegan treats that if you didn't know, you couldn't tell! I'm a harsh critic on GF baked goods and they are truly the best I've ever had. Chocolate chip cookie sandwich is my fav !!

We tried the chocolate bento cake and cookies. I'm not even gluten free so was skeptical at first but honestly it's one of the best chocolate cakes I've had in awhile. The frosting tasted amazing and I loveeeee sprinkles. The cakes are good for sharing with one other person. I will definitely be back as a regular. Highly recommend if you are gluten free or vegan.
