Sweet and Sassy made holiday cookies and cake pops for me this Christmas. The owner and baker- Brittney was easy to work with. Her work was amazing. I can't believe the fine detail she adds to her treats. The flavors were also very good. I would highly recommend SSC and I will use them again!

I am new to the valley. But not new to ordering cookies. My go to girl for decorated cookies lives back home in Tucson, so I decided to buy from someone local. Found this page on instagram, the pics looked very nice! Messaged the owner and I received a prompt response which was very reassuring. I told her I wanted to put an order of cookies for a White Coat Ceremony and sent her a pic of what I wanted. The day finally comes I meet her at a QT to pick up the cookies. First of all, her packaging was not the best. She piled two dozen cookies in a donut box, each on top of another. No individual packaging which is usually better for these cookies or AT LEAST a flat box where these cookies can lay flat. Second, the cookie were soooooo mediocre. No wow factor AT ALL. The writing on them was bleeding through and they looked as if they were very last minute made. We couldn't figure out what one of the designs was. For $25/dozen, I am most definitely expecting something that will make me at least smile!!! And third which is what led me to write this bad review THERE WERE NO WHITE COAT COOKIES!!! This was for my husbands white coat ceremony for pharmacy school. The pic i sent her had white coat cookies in it. The worst part is that she was soooo unapologetic. I said "there are no white coats in here?" She replied "i dont have the mold for it". That's it. No "im sorry" or at least a humble tone of voice. I was so disappointed. Im only giving her a star because the kids liked the flavor. But they were not very pretty (my standards may be high because my former baker from tucson "Qconfections" is amazing!) but most disappointed in her arrogant demeanor. NEVER AGAIN will i order from her. Nor do i recommend her. Immediately unfollowed her from instagram. I attached a picture of how she delivered them to me. That was immediately when i got into the car.

My family had been customers for 4 bdays in a row! Our first two cakes were perfect!! The third year wasn't very great visually but taste was still good! Figured we've been coming for a long time so I would order again this year for my kids party and I must say I'm very displeased. She agreed to make cake and asked for how many, I sent over ideas of what they wanted and 2 weeks went by and I never heard from her again! I messaged one more time and no reply at all. Very unprofessional luckily I was able to find INTRICAKE on fb in chandler who was absolutely amazing!!! Sadly our family and friends will not be supporting this company. A simple message saying she couldn't do it or anything at all in response would have been perfect. I still have not received a message. Meanwhile posts are being made regularly...

Sweet & Sassy Cakes is delicious and fun to work with. Brittany is the owner and you can taste the love and passion she has for cakes when you take your first bite. She also teams up with Casey's Catering to complete your wedding catering needs. Brittany is very responsive and attentive to detail. She made it so simple to design the look and taste of our cake. When I forgot the pedestal for the cake on the wedding day, she jumped right in and supplied one last minute. She even boxed up our top tier for us to save for our one year anniversary. Brittany's cakes are as delightful to eat as they are to look at and she will not disappoint your taste buds.

I'm not one to write reviews, but after my experience with sweet and sassy cakes, I feel compelled to share my poor experience with Brittney. I stumbled upon her company through Instagram while my fiancé and I were looking to find an affordable bakery to purchase our 5 tier wedding cake from. I simply sent Brittney a direct message including some photos of what we were looking for and almost immediately received a reply back from her regarding her pricing and her tasting process. We were very impressed with how prompt and friendly she was at responding to our questions. Not to mention her website was filled with many photos of her beautiful cake designs. Just a few weeks later I scheduled my tasting which she stated cost $25 for 3 flavors and would go towards the cost of the cake if we decided to book her. We added an additional flavor for a extra $5. We wanted to do the tasting with our family so she dropped the cakes off to the address we provided. The total cost of the cake tasting was $30 with the added flavor. We gave her $50 in cash (she only accepts cash) and told her she could put the excess $20 towards the deposit......big mistake! While cutting the cake, we found a strand of blonde hair slightly stuck in the frosting.... which we did not mention to her (no one in our family has blonde hair.) We requested to try the pink champagne, marble, chocolate and red velvet cake which were all dry with the exception of the pink champagne. 5 out of 6 of our family members who tasted the cake with us said the cakes were DRY, tasted like boxed cake and nothing like any professional bakery would make. Although I personally use boxed cake and feel that even that would've tasted better. I contacted her the next day in the most polite manner asking her if the cakes were made fresh and if they had been placed in the fridge at all because they had tasted a little dry and were very firm. She stated that they had been made fresh on the same day and that she could possibly add simple syrup to add sweetness and moisture to the cake. We agreed and asked to reschedule another tasting with this change. We also agreed to pay for it. After we suggested a new date for the tasting, we asked her to provide us with an invoice showing the amount of money that was paid to her ($50) and the cost of the tasting ($30). She obtained our email and almost 3 weeks later, I received absolutely nothing from her. I messaged her a few more times to see if she received my messages and if she was working on our invoice, still no reply. The great thing about Instagram is that it shows whether the other person has "read" your messages which she did and chose to ignore. We gave her multiple opportunities to retain our business. Even after our poor experience with the tasting, we attempted to give her a chance to present us with a new set of cakes. Instead, she decided to blow us off. After many failed attempts, I simply asked her to refund the amount we asked her to put towards the deposit and she finally responded and apologized for "disappointing us" and obtained our address since she does not use PayPal. It's been nearly 2 weeks and we have yet to receive a check in the mail. We live in the same state, it would take 2-3 business days to get to us, at the most. I am still awaiting a reply of whether or not the money has been sent. Unfortunately, prior to the tasting I did not realize that this business does not have an actual location, it is probably a business run from home. Quite frankly, this bakery lost me and many other potentially good customers. Originally I had planned to purchase other cakes and pastries for my shower and bachelorette through sweet and sassy cakes. After this experience, I will never use this bakery again and would not recommend it to anyone else.

My daughter, having used this company three times before, took on the task of ordering a 2-tier casino-themed cake and 2 doz cupcakes for her Dad's 60th surprise birthday party. She had back and forth text "discussions" and made the selection. It was to be her gift to him. We had a casino themed surprise party and what she selected would have been perfect. On the day of the party, she contacted them regarding when the order would arrive. She was told she was "not on the schedule"... She then sent screen shots of their conversations. She was then told she didn't give a deposit. She responded that on the three prior occasions she had worked with them, no deposit was asked for and if one was now required, she should have been asked for one! At that point any further attempts to contact the company were completely ignored. There was never an apology!! There was never any offer to try and do something for her! (The party was still 6 hours away when my daughter first contacted her)... When my daughter called me, she was in tears! She had recommended this company to many people. Never again. I think it was the total lack of consideration and then just ignoring her that angered us the most... even more than the screwup. Not only will we not be giving further recommendations, if this company' s name comes up as one someone is considering, we will certainly voice our very negative experience. If I could give zero stars I would!!
