Sunset Grille

I've been eating here for years, and somehow the Sunset Grille is always a great place to visit. Recently, I have attended several Sunday brunches and each one was excellent. So glad it's in my neighborhood.

Very good breakfast buffet Monday through Friday for nine dollars. Weekends $15 but more extensive menu. Super nice people work there. Also added a lunch menu and two evenings a week at night dinner.

Great spot for breakfast, two of us was $22.00 hell of a lot less than most places in Chandler and Gilbert. Very nice staff, not crowded, food was very good. They have a prime rib dinner on Thursday, will definitely try it.RANDI was our server, great service Randi!

Had to wait over an hour Friday for a carry out of fish. Coleslaw has a tiny portion and container is less than half full. I was not the only one who was disappointed with the service. Not organized. Fish is great. Potatoe is small. Fish portion is great. You think on a Friday the kitchen would be geared up with over half the customers would order fish. Hopefully they get their act together.

The morning continental breakfast for $9.00 is well worth it. The lunch and dinner are good

Don't go. They're never open. The hours continuously change. The servers leave a lot to be desired.

The restaurant was immaculate and the tables were set nicely. Both the hostess and server were very welcoming and kind. We were seated by the windows looking out to the pool. As great as the service was, sadly the food wasn't the best. Our sandwiches, French dip and Philly steak didn't use the freshest meat. The bread was obviously microwaved. The server noticed that I hardly ate any of my sandwich and kindly subtracted a portion of our bill. We are not Sun Lakes residents, but are looking to find a new community. Hopefully, they just don't cater to the snowbirds.

Tried the new Sunday Brunch buffet for $15.00 on 8/11. I went to the omelet bar first and chose my ingredients. While the omelet was cooking, I got my coffee, fruit and pastries. It would have been nice if someone was available to explain where everything was, since this was a totally new procedure. There was a lot of running back and forth before everything we wanted was at our table. I was helping a friend who was on a walker and it was very difficult to get everything we needed.There were separate stations for tableware, drinks, sides and condiments plus a big table with hot containers for pancakes, scrambled eggs, biscuits and gravy, home fries etc. By the time we got everything together, the food on our plates was cold. When I started to eat my omelet, I found out it wasn't thoroughly cooked. Raw egg was running out onto my plate. My friend had the same experience with her omelet. Not a good impression for a first visit.

Waited 35 minutes for coffees, came eventually with the semi warm eggs served on a bed OF LETTUCE? Why? 1 server but only 6 tables, mgr sitting in office & hostess just brings water? Both very nice but place better off closed until a relaunch!! All the old employees are gone! WHY? BACK OLD CREW!!!

The food was quick but as soon as my mom and I sat down I was approached by the server named Susan. She first asked me if I had a shirt or something to cover up my dress with even though my dress was appropriate. She also told me if her manager would have been there he would have escorted me out. I then asked for a different server as that was not professional at all and there was no dress code other than no bikinis. But we were greeted after by a wonderful mom and daughter server who complimented me and made me feel better and they also had said Susan had made similar comments to them. It was a nice place to eat for breakfast but I wish that wouldn't have happened as I was trying to have a nice meal with my mom.
