Steel Cactus Brewing

Visited recently with a few fellow beer enthusiast friends. We love to travel the Valley to support and drink local beer. Unfortunately Steel Cactus was a miss amongst our group. We all got flights to try things out- they have about 10 beers to select from and a seltzer. General consensus is that the beers don't really taste as they should. The one that stood out to me the most in this regard- the Tripel IPA wasn't strong enough in ABV and flavor to be a Tripel. The Arizona Sky has promise if they could amp up the flavor, some same with the Seltzer, and add more carbonation to the Pilsner.It's a small biz that has big potential if they can tweak the beer. Love the space though and the fact they offer small food trucks/tents a spot outside to park & sell to complement the drinks.

No food here but sometimes there is a food cart. It's a tiny space but they do what they can with it. The prices for beer are very reasonable at $6/pint. I had an imperial stout and quite surprised it wasn't more expensive or a smaller serving because it's 11.5% ABV. And it's very good. They have about 10 choices across seltzers, stouts, ipas, another other beers. Tastes are free. Ryan and Stephanie were part of the staff and so friendly! I would come back again for sure and bring my friends. Parking s no issue either. They got two TVs as well.

Steel Cactus is one of the newest breweries in the area, and it's worth a try. We went in on the opening night and I would say they were off to a great start! Notable tries were the Guavalicious Double IPA, the White Winter Wheat Ale, and their flagship Blue Boy American Light Ale.I will update my review later on, but I wanted to get them on the map so more people can discover some of the great new craft beer spots in the area like Steel Cactus.Great job on getting up and running with some great beers on tap. I look forward to seeing you guys grow!

John took excellent care of us, he was super helpful with beer selections and knowledge. He gave us samples and was overall so friendly and personable. The beer options were immense with so many varieties. The grapefruit beer was delicious, they take such care in providing small batch brews that have fresh ingredients.Definitely a hidden gem but GO!

If you like the vibe of sitting in your buddy's garage and drinking his home made beer, this is your place,Small and intimate!! Good beer, just need a bit of atmosphere, keep going Steel Cactus!

I would definitely recommend this place. It's small but very inviting. The beer is great and the people are awesome!

Steel Cactus Brewing is dope and has an awesome vibe! The staff is great. We loved their Dusted and Blue Boy. Both were fantastic brews and we'd 100% recommend!

This place is awesome! Great place to catch the game. Good vibes from the staff and I recommend the #6 hitched hops

Beer selection was small but excellent offerings. John was super friendly, very knowledgeable about beers and great resource for a Chicago trip!
