I literally cannot say enough about this company! I have been using Special Moments for 2 years for holiday parties to corporate lunches and it all has been OUTSTANDING! The people are tremendous. Knowledgeable, helpful, friendly, and efficient! Brad, Mimi, Jennifer.... oh man too many incredible people to name! Everytime they cater an event, the staff remembers my employees and vice versa. Family. That's what I want. I want to be able to trust that the food will be good, things will be cleaned, and my guests are being treated with exceptional service. That is what SM delivers every single time. Their food is made from scratch and has such attention to detail! They do it all from Sloppy Joes to crab canapes. My company had it's big grand opening and Brad and his crew did an incredible job on the event. Live action food stations like custom grilled cheeses, mashed potini bar, custom tacos, and a lo mein station. They also hooked us up with a red carpet, ice sculpture of our logo, and the best staff ever! If I could give more than 5 stars then I definitely would!! I already have them booked for this year's holiday party, so sorry- the 14th isn't going to work for you. There is nothing like planning an event already knowing it's going to be a success. With Special moments- it's every time!Thank you guys so much!!-your biggest fan.

So I've sat on this for a few months, but finally figured I'd be doing a disgrace to the public NOT to post this. My friend's wedding was catered by Special Moments and as a result, 20-30 people got sick (those who actually reported, either to the company or via fb- who knows how many more). The health department should've been called... Worst food poisoning of my life!!! Some more accountability from Special Moments would've been nice, as opposed to hearing 'This has never happened before' more times than an apology was offered. I understand, but it definitely happened this time. A discount on the price is not worth the humiliation I'm sure the bride felt.Imagine this was your wedding, would you want this experience?? Nope! Oh yeah, and the food was cold.

I used Special Moments Catering for our company Holiday Party and they did a great job. I got many compliments from my staff about the food. The quality of their food is great, the freshness of the green beans and other produce really makes a difference. Also, the staff at Special Moments Catering is amazing! They are very polite and timely for all communication. I was very impressed with my experience with Special Moments and will use them again. Make sure to get the cream cheese, garlic mashed potatoes! They are amazing, and everyone will enjoy :)

If I could give them a billion stars, I absolutely would!Special Moments catered our wedding on May 8, 2015, at the air force museum in Mesa. They were a recommended vendor and had worked at the venue before, so I decided to go with them after checking out some additional reviews.First, I must say that their communication skills are excellent. I live in Dubai and planning a wedding halfway across the globe is stressful enough, as I can only communicate through email or through my sister who was local. Brad, Michelle and their team were prompt and clear with their communication. They also were very patient with me and honored last year's prices as I was having trouble securing the venue.Unfortunately, I couldn't be present to do a tasting, so my sister went with her 5 year old daughter and her friend. My sister was thoroughly impressed by the presentation of the tasting - the chef even made child sized portions for my niece, even though she didn't eat it! It was a very kind and thoughtful touch, and was greatly appreciated. The food we chose was the chicken chipotle, beef puff pastry, and they added an extra vegetarian side for free. It was all delicious when I finally got to try it.I came into Phoenix about 9 months before the wedding and finally met with Michelle. She was so interested in our theme (vintage air travel) and wanted to match the buffet tables to our decor. I met her again just a week before the wedding to get some last minute details in. She showed me these amazing vintage glasses she found at an antique shop with old airline brands and said she would use them on the tables. I was impressed by her desire to match the decor. On the day of the event, I arrived early (I know, I'm shocked too!) and was met by Dan who was in charge of the staff for the evening. Dan was amazing - he ensured we received our plated meals as well as wrapping up all the leftover food and sending it home with my family. The staff even folded up my ceremony chairs after the ceremony! I would have never asked them to do it however, they were happy to pitch in without even being asked. All the staff were kind and helpful, and Dan was great - he gave us tips on cake-cutting (who knew it was so technical?) kept communication open with me throughout the whole day.Thank you so much Special Moments! Your staff definitely helped make our day very special.

Brad and his staff at Special Moments were absolutely wonderful and ideal. They catered our wedding at The Waterfront in Tempe, and Brad couldn't have been more professional and helpful. We are so grateful for such an awesome experience. It really played a big part on our wedding day!The food is very, very delicious. When we went for our taste-testing, we had a hard time choosing which menu items to have at the wedding, they were all so good. The day of the wedding, they were on time, professional, and all of the dishes were just as delicious. We can't thank Brad and his staff at Special Moments enough!

We're so happy we chose Special Moments to cater our wedding this past April. We had an outdoor wedding at Saguaro Lake Ranch, and right after the ceremony it started to rain. It only ever rains in Arizona when we are there it seems, because it also rained when we first visited the site in September last year... Anyway, the rain was unexpected and we didn't have a coordinator or a real contingency plan in place. But the servers like clockwork got the food under cover and then moved up to an alternative area inside the main lodge of the ranch without any direction from us. They made everything work amazingly well despite the hassles and everyone had a great dinner without a huge delay. This was a buffet dinner for just under 100 people and the food was still delicious and hot by the time everyone sat down to eat. Also, we didn't get dessert from them and instead bought lots of pies from a wonderful pie shop called Piefection. So we assumed that our guests would have to take care of serving themselves dessert, but the head server from Special Moment would have none of that. He asked if it would be ok for them to do dessert service for us, and of course I said yes. So they got our pies served out and everyone had dessert brought to them. As for the food itself, it was just delicious. Their menu of choices seems limited, but everything we had at our tasting was great, and their chef was so much fun to chat with. The standouts were the basil Chardonnay linguine, the grilled Tri-tip with yummy bordelaise sauce and the meatballs. Our guests raved about how good the food was! (My family is picky about good food by the way, so this was not empty praise.)My sister is a bartender and she mixed drinks for the cocktail hour before dinner, and they were even nice enough to lend us some drinks towers free of charge when we asked if they could throw them in for free.I recommend this catering service wholeheartedly and would book them again in a heartbeat. Bri was our contact person within the company and she was great, and I do wish I knew the head server's name because he was a gem.

We hosted a 50's themed birthday bash at our house. 95 people were in attendance, without Brad and his team I would have slaved the whole night away. They had "everything" under control! The night was AWESOME and the food was DELICIOUS! And I got to dance with the Birthday Boy (my husband). Thank You Special Moments Catering

We had to go with Special Moments catering for my daughters menu because they have an exclusive contract with the venue. It was a beautiful outdoor wedding. Special Moments was contracted to serve appetizers and dinner. The veggie were to be stationed and the other appetizers were hand passed. The ranch dressing they served looked like it was watered down, and it was tasteless. The brochette and meatballs were edible, but the servers would come out with 4 of the item on each of the plates, so there was a lot of walking back and forth with empty plates. There were left over veggies which my sister asked them specifically to package up for us to take with us ( I am a vegetarian), and while they said they would, the vegetables were thrown out instead. Then came dinner... ugh! It was a buffet style dinner, except for the salads (which were plated) and the dinner rolls. We were promised cheesy garlic rolls, and in each of the baskets there was one cheesy garlic roll and all the rest were classic dinner rolls. Just enough for one per person at the table. My husband and I didn't get any rolls. There were suppose to be salad dressing boats at each table, nope, there wasn't. The salad came out with very little dressing on it, but there was no extra dressing anywhere to be found. No wait staff refilling anything, or even around to ask a question to. The best part of dinner was the garlic mashed potatos, they were delish. However, about 1/3 of the guests didn't get any because they were all gone by the time they got to the buffet. Michelle from special moments assured me that they always make extra food just in case. Even though about 15 people who RSVP'd didn't make it, there still wasn't enough to go around. The mixed summer veggies were also good, but its hard to screw up steamed veggies. The entrees however left a lot to be desired! They looked nothing like the ones that we taste tested. There was very little sauce on either the bourbon chicken or the beef scaloppini. Very bland, not much flavor. A lot of the guests mentioned that the beef entree was served cold!! I was appalled!! When I went through the line, the server couldn't tell the difference between the beef and the chicken, it all looked the same odd grey color. (In fact, the left over chicken that they boxed up for us was an unappetizing grey color, with no sauce what so ever. It was so unappetizing that my college aged son and his friends wouldn't even eat it as left overs! )With several guests being vegetarian, including myself, I set up with Michelle a vegetarian option. I had requested vegetarian lasagna with a red sauce. This was available to my quests upon request. At the end of the line, I asked for the vegetarian option. The server said it would be a minute and to step to the side while I waited. I was waiting with my niece who had requested the veggie option as well. We waited, and waited, and waited. The server finally showed up with 2 plates of pasta, but could give us only one, because he was taking the other one to the other side of the buffet. Needless to say, by the time I got the veggie option, the rest of my food was cold. The plate with the vegetarian option was a plate of buttered noodles and very few vegetables. Imagine my surprise ! (I was told later by my wedding coordinator that Michelle stated that the chef did not like the way the lasagna noodles had turned out, so she took it upon herself to put together something else. Come on, even I can cook lasagna noodles and I am not a trained chef! ) Michelle had passed by me several times during the set up of the venue and never once mentioned any of that to me that afternoon. Another niece and nephew of mine that are vegetarians waited so long for the veggie option that they ended up splitting the plate of pasta instead of having their own. I am so embarrassed by the quality of the food that was served, I kept apologizing all night for it. One of the things I learned while planning this wedding is that you really don't have any recourse when things don't go right or something is subpar, because you have to pay in full prior to the event. The only recourse I have is to write an honest review. I am so disappointed in the quality of food and service from Special Moments. For the price per person we had to pay, this was totally unacceptable. I have had a better meal at Pita Jungle! Should have had them cater it!
