Sonsons Pasty

I saw Sonsons on a YouTube video and have been meaning to try it. The lady behind the counter was so nice and friendly! I got the cottage pie for myself, Philly cheese steak for my husband, and 2 sausage rolls for later. My pasty was SO good. The crust was buttery and flaky, the filling was savory and had the right amount of salt. I'm eager to try the other fillings but upset that I didn't get more.

This was a bit of a drive for me, but I had to try these! Easy to find location in a strip mall. The owner was super friendly and helpful! There were only two small tables, but I purchased to go along with half cooked frozen ones so I can bake at home. Delicious!!! Steak and cheese, chicken pot pie and breakfast pies. Will be back!!

Omg as a Brit here in Arizona this is a total blast from home! Beard Meats food did their food challenge at the other location but totally worth the visit to either location. 10/10 would return and get more food from home freshly prepared here in USA.

If you have a moment, I'd encourage you to stop by Sonsons Pasty Company in Gilbert or Mesa. I placed an online order today and stopped by to pick up. Simple storefront but very nice staff. It's a great sign when the lady tells you one moment she has to wash her hands AND she was already wearing gloves. They appreciated my crazy and small talk. Was able to pick up my order without issue. When I went to tip another $1 the lady reminded me I already tipped on my online order, again the small stuff. Great integrity to mention that. The extra $1 was intentional, great service! You can get these frozen, pre baked or hot too! Why not travel with a pasty. :) Support local & shop small business when possible.

The pasty's here are most excellent! Decent price, not as massive and overly priced as the ones from the other pasty place in the valley. Plenty of variety, and even some desert and breakfast options as well.

If you are a fan of flakey pastries and meat pies or fruit pies this place is amazing. I had t steak Pasty and it was delicious

I've always ordered from the Mesa location and I'm so glad to see that Gilbert finally has one now as this location is closer to me. I had been craving pasty's for a while now and finally decided to order some via Grubhub. My favorite pasty's are the green chicken chili and the steak and cheese pasty.The green chicken chili was amazing per usual. It was stuffed with plenty of chicken and the crust was nice and crispy. The filling could've used a little more seasoning but after adding salt, I was able to sort of fix it. The gravy also helped a lot. The steak pasty had way more potatoes in it then it did steak. Usually I remember it having a lot more steak but this time it did not :( disappointing. It was not my fave this day.Overall, I will keep ordering pasty's as I can say I'm a big fan. Next time, I will have to try the dessert!

Finally the stars aligned, and I was able to try Sonsons today. I ordered the Chicken Pot Pie pasty, and it is absolutely delicious! It's got that buttery flaky homemade taste and feel, comes with brown gravy for dipping. They were so nice too! I will definitely be coming back, and you should try them out too. Yum!

I love the breakfast and the cottage pie pasties! I go frequently. Great service and made with love in every bite!
