Sonora Cocina Express

I have been coming here for a few months now and I don't get tired of it. I love their elote en baso! It's just like the one you buy on the street! They have absolutely good sopa de papas con queso. It's literally just how my grandma makes it. Their strawberries and cream is my absolute favorite! I know I can make it at home, but it's always better when someone else does it The service is always amazing! There is a woman there who is usually the one up front. She is super nice and was the one who told me to try their strawberries and cream. My partner loves quesadillas with chicken. He doesn't get tired of the ones here. I highly recommend this place.

Sometimes, we are reminded, in ways we'd never dreamed of, of why rules are meant to be broken... Sonora Cocina Express is a perfect example of the old rule, 'Bigger Is Always Better' being blatantly wrong! Sonora Cocina Express is small. A beautiful example of a small, intimate, storefront restaurant serving divine food, which is contrary to what one would expect. But the store's owner, Liz, who usually welcomes her customers, says, 'I know my food is really good, because I come in every day, and make it fresh!' She's right on all counts. And to gather your own proof, 'ya gotta go and see (taste) for yourself!' I tell you now, the menu is not the typical 5 or 6 pages of everything 'Mexican' you find in most 'Mexican' restaurants. But you'll find something you enjoy, it will be excellent, and you'll return for more!*****

Thank you for your patience! The staff explained what the ingredients were included in the tostilocos. They wanted to ensure you got what you wanted. I appreciate it. The food was amazing. I have to go back and try the rest of the menu.

The service was great, the food was delicious and I would definitely come back when in the area. The cocido de res was my fave.

Great food! Had the Al Pastor tacos and I've also had a breakfast burrito from this place. Really friendly staff and very clean and modern inside. Would definitely return.

Stopped in early on Saturday, tried asada, pollo and pastor tacos. They are packed with meat, and salsas were good.

Everything was absolutely delicious from the corn in a cup to the torta and sopes. Will definitely be back

I ate lunch here today for the first time. There were bugs and the food was disgusting. I wrote a longer review on Google if you want to hear more. I will never go back.

My whole family loved everything. We're picky and have high expectations and this place exceeded them. The tacos were My favorite but everything was delicious.

The food is amazing. The owner is at the restaurant all the time and she is very customer oriented and is a very nice person!!!I had a steak quesadilla and a beef stew and both were fantastic!!!!!!!I also had some homemade cookies (Dulce de Leche) that were otherwordly!!!!I will come back here soon!!!!!
