Something New Media

Really loved the work that Something New Media did for our wedding. It's pricey, but it's worth every dollar. We got the package that included the highlight, teaser, toast, and ceremony films, in addition to the raw footage (add-on). Loved watching it all afterwards. They have a bunch of options you can choose from and their videographer (redhead, I think his name was James?) was delightful to work with and had worked expensively with our photographer (TJ Shull) beforehand, so it was easy! He basically told us to not even pay attention to him and he'd just do his thing, which made it a breeze. Definitely recommend going with SNM for your wedding or scent!

Something New Media...10000/10000 would recommend. We decided last minute to book a videographer for our wedding, and our wedding planners (Laki Events) recommended Something New Media. Their recommendation, and our decision to book turned out to be the best idea we had. Something New Media (specifically Mike, who shot our wedding) was incredible to work with. Mike made us feel extremely comfortable in front of the camera, had a great eye & vision, and knew exactly what to capture and when. The video turned out amazing, and we're so glad to have been able to capture our ceremony & evening on video. Thank you Something New Media!

NEVER USE THIS COMPANY. It was not worth a single one of my dollars. The videographers were lovely to work with on the day (so this review is no fault of theirs), but it took over 6 months for them to deliver anything including a teaser (and only when I followed up multiple times) and when I received it I cried. It was not at all what I had requested and completely disappointing from the music choice to the moments captured. They sent us a questionnaire to inform the video and completely disregarded every single one of our requests. When I asked kindly for editing, I was met with a hostile representative of the company who refused to make any edits to any of our videos without charging us $100s of more dollars. I begged for even the slightest edits and they have refused repeatedly. I would never recommend them and am so upset that I won't have a video I even like to capture what was a magical day. Crying as I write this. I would have rather not paid for a videographer and gone through this.

One word - ethical.Putting together your wedding celebration is incredibly stressful, especially when you're forced to do it twice. That's what happened to my bride and I. Our original wedding date was 4/25/20 - smack dab in the middle of coronapocalypse. I reached out to Something New Media in January 2020 and hired them as the videographers for our wedding. My fiancee and I loved their filming style, professionalism, and experience (including video work they've done for theknot). We made our down payment and awaited next steps.When we realized our wedding was going be postponed, we reached out to SNM to advise and that we'd be in touch as soon as we locked in a new venue and date. They were very understanding. Eventually we revised our wedding date to 10/10/2020 and we reached out to advise. In that time frame, SNM was purchased by new owners and I began communicating with Jeff. They were fully booked for our new date (admittedly, the most popular date of the year). Jeff worked to secure outside videographers, but was unsuccessful.We discussed options and they ultimately refunded our deposit in full. We are grateful that SNM operates with a high level of integrity and were willing to work with us through a challenging situation. I'd recommend them to any prospective couple looking to book them for their upcoming wedding.

They lost our wedding film. They have "new owners" and never bothered to tell us. They claim that our contract was "closed out" but after forwarding plenty of emails (written proof) that it was never closed out they changed their tune. Why was it not closed? Because they didn't even get our wedding date right! There were dozens of other problems with the first film we saw (and do not have anymore), but the WRONG DATE was our first big red flag. We wondered why after NINE MONTHS OF WAITING that our wedding film wasn't done. Turns out, they LOST IT. Now I have to wait for them to scrounge up the raw footage and wait MONTHS to see our film. That's assuming that their "new editor" knows what he's doing. Our first child will be born before our wedding film is done. DO NOT hire this company for your wedding video. You will be disappointed.

I reached out to Something New Media back in February, offering my services as a video editor. I didn't hear back from them until about six months later, when they expressed interest in working with me. They had me cut a video for them, which I did. Before I started cutting the video, I told them how much the invoice was going to be, and then I sent along the invoice with the first cut of the video. All along the process their level of communication left a lot to be desired. They didn't get back to me very quickly at all. After I sent them the video, they proceeded to tell me that they were going with a different editor, which is fine, but upon inquiry, they said they only paid for videos that were of "usable quality," and they sounded as though they didn't intend to pay me for my services. I still have not been paid. Granted, I should have been smarter on my end when dealing with them, but I am very disappointed with this company.

This company is great to work with. They did a great job at handling our needs and worked hard to make sure we got we wanted out of our wedding video. Definitely recommend them!

Something New Media did our wedding video and we absolutely love it. We purchased their biggest package for most coverage and it turned out amazing. To be honest, we were worried it wasnt going to be good because the video team did not interact with us much on the wedding day. They were present and stood behind our photographer - allowing her to capture what she needed but they never asked us for anything or pulled us aside or away from our wedding for coverage so I wasnt sure how this was going to turn out. OUR VIDEOS ARE AMAZING!! Here I thought they werent getting great coverage, they got amazing coverage and were allowing us to enjoy our wedding day. I watched our highlight video 10 times in a row and cried every time. They sent us a form before the wedding asking important things we want included in our video, I had a list - and they captured it all! We also get to decide if we want to pick the music or let them pick. We gave them full creative freedom as far as music and timeline or order of the video and I am so glad we did. When you hire a professional and artist, you have to give them that freedom to get such a beautiful piece - we truly love it. We got a highlight vide (a little over 8 minutes), a teaster video, a video of our ceremony and a video of the toasts at our wedding. We can now relive our wedding day and share this with our children someday. Thank you for capturing the most important day of our life and making it into a beautiful video memory for us. We cannot thank you enough.

Something new media was absolutely amazing to work with! The videographer was kind professional and did great work. I can't believe how well the edited and the quality of video of that was provided to us with for such a great price! If in the Phoenix area I absolutely recommend this company to anyone that's looking to do a wedding video.
