I had TJ's breakfast sandwich, and it was heavenly. My dad got the chicken fried steak and eggs and absolutely loved it. The service is great, and even though it may look a little divey, it's a fantastic spot!

I was excited to try something new and family owned. Of course everyone's experience is different so here is mine. Just after 5 pm on Friday we walked into a small, crowded loud bar, with some tables for diners. Okay that's fine. There is no host/hostess stand at the door or sign indicating "wait here" "seat yourself" but I did noticed across the establishment there was a young man who made eye contact and was grabbing menus so I walked towards him. He sat us at the last open table. He got our drink order and returned with our drinks quickly. Several minutes went by and he walked by us many times. We did the universal, "close our menus as a sign we are ready to order" trick but that didn't work. Several more minutes went by and finally I got his attention and said "we are ready to order" he replied "oh she(as he pointed to a lady behind the bar) will come get your order soon". Oh I see now how this works now. Well now that I know this I sat and observed her greet and entertain several men that just walked in and sat at the bar. She was the bartender and the server. Now coming from working in the food industry and being a server I can see she is really busy aka "in the weeds". That would explain why it took her longer than acceptable to take our order. Fine it is what it is. We ordered carne asada fries, garden salad with ranch and the Santa Fe Melt. The garden salad was pretty standard. The ranch flavor was good but it was really thin and didn't really stick to the salad ingredients. It pooled in the bottom of the bowl. The carne asada fries were very tasty. There were really large chucks of jalapeño in the guacamole so watch out for that if you aren't a fan. My son's Santa Fe melt was good. Very generous amount of meat on this sandwich. The meat was very juicy which is great but it did make the bread soggy. He said it was good. Something to note, if you pay with cash they charge you less by a couple of dollars. Oh and the suggested tip amount includes the tax amount. As I mentioned our server seemed very busy for most of our time there. Though my son did get a refill on his beverage my daughter and I didn't not despite both drinks needing it. Overall the experience was okay. We may be back but not on a Friday after 5.

So if you show up and request a tv to watch your game on, and she says ok, and that's Val, you have ordered 2 bloody Mary's , a micheleda , 2 beers, and a breakfast bowl, you are out on the patio, your game comes on, and she switches it to a game her personal friend want to watch, that's BS. I walked and took my business to TC's Pub and Grill where you are treated with respect. When I told her that 1st come 1st serve to the TV's she said no. Told her my opinion and I was 86'd, I have been a customer of Skippy's since the 1st owner, then Tom and Andy, Then Tom and his daughter Angie. This place is a shithole and ask all to steer clear. I see this place tanking. Owners suck!
