I rarely do reviews, but I must share how AWESOME Julie Hurt is! I would give her 10 stars out of 5 if I could!!! After meeting up with her, my gut feeling said she will do a good job, but no... she did an AMAZING job! Farrrr surpass my expectations. What I envisioned, she created it, made it happen, and making my wedding so beautiful and very memorable, for myself and guests. Julie is extremely professional, quick on responses, and is just a wonderful person in general! I did flowers and chair rentals with her, but her company, Simply Elegant, does more than that, offering wedding planning/ coordinating services, decorating services, and more. Bottom line is you cannot go wrong with Julie; you'll be more than pleased because Julie will try to make your dream wedding come true. At least, for me, it was certainly perfect and truly SIMPLY ELEGANT!!!!! Thank you Julie!!!!! I had the pleasure of witnessing the incredibly beautiful work of simply elegant this past Saturday at a small wedding. The attention to detail of all aspects was superb. Callie was a pleasure to work with. She and her partner will stop at nothing to ensure great results!Great job!

We had about 9 months to plan a 3 day extravagant Indian wedding! We both have full time jobs and were new in the city. We met with Julie the first night, and we knew she was the one we had to have to plan our extravaganza. She put us at ease that first meeting, we were already stressed and overwhelmed about planning this wedding. She took our ideas and our likes into consideration with every step and every detail of the wedding. It was nice to have someone who always had your interests as their first priority. From day 1 we could tell that her entire goal was to make sure we got the exact wedding we wanted. Venue hunting can get tiring and frustrating, but Julie kept going, even when we changed our minds from wanting a resort to a free standing wedding venue. I always wanted an outdoor wedding, but that was not possible with an August wedding in Phoenix! I settled for at least having windows at the venue we get married in, but little did I know that was a tough task as well. Leave it to Julie to find us the exact place I would have imagined, with windows, wood floors and the rustic but elegant feel we were going for. She knew a lot of people in the business and most of our vendors were ones that she has worked with. Not only did they have nothing but great things to say about Julie, but they were amazing at what they did. It was great to not have to hunt for separate vendors either.Come wedding weekend, everything was set and ready to go. This is when we saw the actual genius at work! Her decorations were breathtaking, each event was transformed into a magical bollywood set. Of course we prepared ourselves for the small glitches that would come up. But Julie and her team made sure that even those small glitches were perfect. The weekend was so magical and such a fairy tale. Our guests all had the best time ever, and enjoyed every moment.We would highly recommend Julie Hurt and Simply Elegant to plan and decorate your wedding or any event. Dear Julie,I cannot thank you enough for what you did. You seriously made my dreams come true. I was so afraid that what I pictured in my mind would not executed the same way, but Julie ended up going above and beyond, and made all of my dreams come true. She worked with me to make sure I got what I wanted, but also within my budget. So if something was completely out of budget, she worked with me to see what my other options were. All in all, my husband and I are were very pleased with her work, and the short amount of time she had to quickly turnover from my wedding décor to my reception décor. Due to mine and my husbands crazy schedules (and numerous consults we had with other decorators), he never got the opportunity to meet Julie and see her previous work, but even he was pleased with everything she did - and so were all of our guests. We received numerous compliments (and have no one to thank, but Julie). One thing I really appreciated as well, was that she worked with my EXACT color theme. I showed her exact color themes I wanted and she executed it!!! Sometimes, if she felt like a certain color/shade, centerpiece, or design would look better, she gave her opinion (and I am so glad she did, because it seriously looked amazing). You are so talented, Julie - don't ever stop what you are doing!! (Another side note people should know: As I mentioned earlier, we met with numerous decorators - some who couldn't provide us with what we wanted, some who were crazy over priced, and some who wouldn't even respond to us. We narrowed it down to three final decorators before deciding who to go with, and we decided on Julie, because a friend recommended her to me, and told me I would not be disappointed at all, and I couldn't have been happier with our decision, and my friends suggestion). We HIGHLY recommend Julie. I assure you that her work is AMAZING (and speaks for itself through photographs even)! Thank you for everything, Julie. We honestly couldn't have been happier. I can't wait to recommend you to all of my friends and family!!!

Words cannot describe how wonderful Julie Hurt and her team are. I hired Julie for wedding decor/design as well as planning services and it was worth every penny. She is very knowledgeable on the Arizona wedding industry and provided me with wonderful sources for vendors or advice on budget savers. She also gives an honest perspective on vendors she has worked with and looks out for you when meeting with them. Julie is easy to get along with and honestly feels like family after working with her. Even my husband, who is extremely shy, opened up right away with her. I could email or text her whenever I needed and she responded quickly. She is pretty high in demand and did her best to make herself available for you when you needed. I never felt like I wasn't important to her as a client. I honestly felt like I was her only client because of the attention and care she gave me.If you are a bride who really likes elegance and tons of flowers then she is your gal! She has tons of decor items such as table linens and chairs; she also has a great florist which allows her to get awesome arrangements. She is very innovative in her designs and goes above and beyond to deliver. Her attention to the minuscule details really set the tone for my wedding and will set yours apart from the average wedding. As a bride, I had a hard time knowing what I wanted at first, then articulating what my vision was. Julie somehow figured out my vision and delivered what I wanted and more.I highly recommend Julie in order to take the stress of planning your wedding all by yourself or if you want to have a memorable and stunning look for your wedding. It was the best decision I ever made!

I do not even have the words to express my gratitude towards Julie. She is absolutely amazing and went above and beyond for my wedding. I had a vision for what I wanted the florals to look like for my wedding. Before meeting with Julie, I met with at least 5 florists. I very clear in expressing my ideas. All of the florists took over two weeks send me the proposal. They quoted me by the flower--each flower costing a certain amount which always ended up being wayyyy over my budget. When they finally sent me the proposal it was nothing like I pictured. When I would ask them to revise it, they would either tell me what I was asking for couldn't be done or they wouldn't even respond to me. ALL of that changed when I met Julie. I contacted her and she responded almost immediately. She asked me to send her pictures of ideas I had. By the time of our first meeting she already understood my style and had even more suggestions for me that were beautiful! She had the proposal done the same day and worked within my budget. She doesn't stem count so I got more flowers than in any of the other proposals for much, much cheaper. She even custom made one of my centerpieces. She has such a fantastic eye and is so experienced that she made everything more beautiful then I even thought possible! But Julie is so much more than a florist! Even though she wasn't my wedding planner (I already had one by the time I met Julie) she treated me like I was one of her brides. She constantly checked on me. When I had an issue with anything for my wedding, she went out of her way to find a solution. She was with me every step of the way and she made me feel so special and truly made my wedding planning process stress free. She is the best! I am SO thankful I found Julie. I had the wedding of my dreams all thanks to her!

We are so grateful and pleased with Julie's services in planning our daughter's beautiful wedding. We were both speechless when we walked into Troon North on the wedding day and saw how the venue had been transformed. It was very hard and stressful, especially for me, because we had to rely on you to implement Tiffany's vision for her big day without being there in person since we live in New Jersey. Julie made sure that we were included in everything, even skyping with us to go over the reception table details. We knew when we walked into the reception hall that Julie had not only captured Tiffany's vision, she also captured everything that we dreamed about for her wedding day. The abundance of flowers was unbelievable and breathtaking, from the gorgeous floral archway at the ceremony and the floral petals on the bridal path to the beautiful floral arrangements on each table at the reception. The flowers were perfect in combination with the Arizona landscape and looked like a scene out of a movie. Julie paid attention to details that we didn't even consider, such as the little flower arrangements on the chairs at the ceremony and the crystal balls hanging from the flower ceremony arch that were also included in the center pieces in the reception. The beautiful table linens sparkled with just enough bling to satisfy Tiffany's artistic and flamboyant style, yet Julie still managed to keep everything tasteful which satisfied our more conservative tastes as parents. Julie was able to do what we couldn't do, which was to convince our daughter that she did not need to go overboard with the bling, in fact less is more. In fact, from the moment I saw Tiffany's beautiful bouquet, which was unlike any bouquet I had seen before, to the first look at the reception hall, I confess that I had to slip away to cry by myself because I was overwhelmed with happiness. I especially, as the mother of the bride, was grateful to Julie because she stepped in and became Tiffany's surrogate mother in Arizona, when I couldn't be there. Not only did she execute our vision for Tiffany's wedding day, she also went above and beyond, providing emotional support as well as professional support for both Tiffany and Brian. I appreciated her timely advice in helping them choose the appropriate wedding venue, food, as well as providing advice for choosing the wonderful string quartet for the wedding ceremony and cocktail hour and the DJ for the reception. She put me at ease when she offered to accompany Tiffany to her dress fittings. We didn't expect this type of full service, but she gave it. We especially appreciate this help and support when we couldn't be there. Julie attended the food and cake tastings and your experience helped the couple make good choices for the cocktail hour and reception dinner. Her expert advice and support was instrumental in assisting Tiffany to develop her wedding theme and color palette. I must confess that I was initially concerned because I wasn't sure about Tiffany's vision and the multi-color palette that she described to us. Julie interpreted her vision and helped her narrow her colors and bridesmaid styling, which included uniformity in their hair styles and accessories. Julie provided us with a wonderful makeup artist who not only made Tiffany look absolutely beautiful, but surprised me with a complimentary makeup application which I know she was instrumental in negotiating for. Julie also knew how important it was for us to have a religious ceremony and introduced Tiffany and Brian to a wonderful pastor. His marriage ceremony was outstanding; stressing love and keeping God in their marriage. We know that Brian & Tiffany are motivated and are encouraged to look for a church home in Phoenix. We feel fortunate to have contracted with Julie for wedding planning services because she definitely provided much more than we contracted for. She went above and beyond! We consider you a friend and have officially adopted you into our family. We wholeheartedly recommend Simply Elegant Fine Event and Wedding Design led by Julie Hurt to anyone who is planning a wedding.
