Shy’s Pizza & Wings

Ok 10s across the board. Interior is very unassuming, don't let it fool you. I can't think of a place where I've had THIS fresh of tasting food in a hot minute. Everything comes out HOT. The ingredients are fresh. The garlic knots were like pillowy cloudy goodness and the garlic butter on it was next level. The macaroni.... Guys.... GUYS. Don't sleep on this. The sausage penne was the perfect mix of like Smokey and Italian. The pizzaaaaa yousss guys! The flavor was so good! Hidden gem in Gilbert. MUST TRY!They also have daily specials tonight was half off pastas. Service was fast, friendly and attentive! We will be back.

I first went to Shy's on February 12, 2025. I thought about doing two different reviews, but I decided to combine them and give the average score on this review.This is a brand, new pizza and wings Restaurant right around the corner from my house, I never went to the pizza place that was there before, but Shy's just opened a few months ago.When I went there the first time on the 12th I had just been released to start eating again the week before. I hadn't eaten in two months, I've been on IV nutrition with clear liquids only so I was slowly adding back food. This is a very important comment when it comes to today's visit.On the 12th I ordered chicken wings and fried zucchini. For their chicken wings they only have mild and hot buffalo sauce and I usually get medium, I wanted to know how hot the hot sauce was and the server was kind enough to get me a sample that I tasted and it was definitely OK for me. Both appetizers were amazing! A five star rating for that visit for sure!Today, February 27, 2025, I went back to order a pizza, my first pizza since last year. Not that I eat pizzas all the time, but since I hadn't eaten in several months, it was sounding so good and I was so excited. I had looked at the pictures online, The crust looked amazing a good crust, puffy crust, not too thick and definitely not too thin according to the pictures on the website.I called in my order, I ordered the fried zucchini again because it was so good last time. And then I ordered a 10 inch pizza. I told the gentleman that answered that I wanted the regular cross and definitely not thin crust. The anticipation of eating this pizza was growing by the minute, and I was so excited to have my first pizza in months!The very nice gentleman brought my meal out to me to take home, and he specifically showed me the pizza and my heart sank, I looked at it, and I looked at it again, I even walked out to my car, and I sat in my car and looked at it again, and I just couldn't accept it. Please see the pictures there is no crust. It was not even as thick as a cracker. I marched back in and I said this is nothing like the pictures on your website of how you're crust is, and he kinda looked at it and said it looks like he might've played with it too much?! Do you want me to cook you another one well I really didn't wanna wait another 20 or 30 minutes and I was just so disappointed at that point and I wasn't even sure if they'd get it right the second time. So the gentleman refunded the money for my pizza to me and let me take the pizza. The other issue is, I asked for extra cheese, which I should've never done on a thin cracker crust because it made it too greasy there was no crust to hold up extra cheese! Please see the pictures of the floppy pizza. I ate a piece and threw the rest away. It was just too greasy, too much cheese for a thin cracker crust. And yes, I was refunded the pizza whether I ate it or not, but not sure I will return. I don't trust them to make the crust correct. I was told by the gentleman that I needed to make sure I said to make it fluffy next time I'm not even sure what that means. I just want the regular crust that's on their website that people have ordered and they aren't professional business pictures, They're actually client pictures of pizza that has been ordered. I want that crust!Overall, a very disappointing trip to Shy's and for today's visit I would've given them three stars, and that's even generous. So between the two visits, the average is four stars. But unless you like cracker crust, apparently you have to tell them you want normal crust, again I'm not exactly sure what that means and why that has to be spelled out?! I had such high hopes for Shy's....The service there is amazing and the young blonde lady and the gentleman that helped me, were very amazing and tried to rectify the situation. But my trust has been lost. I just didn't realize how difficult it was to get a decent crust.

Happened to stop by for lunch on my way home from a doctor's appointment. I ordered a slice of pepperoni and sausage pizza, well done. With a diet coke.Their slices are huge! I thought the cheese, pepperoni, sausage, and the crust was really good. The sauce was different. At first I wasn't sure if I liked it. But then the more I ate the pizza, the more I liked it. The facility is pretty cool, they have a great outdoor patio. The staff was really great also.

OK, let me start off by saying that the name does not fit the vibe of this place. It's very nice inside and the quality of food is outstanding. They have to have the best garlic knots I've ever had. Shy's special pizza with the refried bean base was AMAZING. The BLT pizza tasted like a crispy blt sandwich. The crust is thinner and they only come one way. Top it off with the pizza cookie with ice cream and you have one of my new favorite pizza spots PERIOD.

This place is awesome! Service is amazing. $3 beers on Sunday common! Try the shys pie, sounds weird but it's great!

Tried this place for the first time and I was greeted by Pablo who was a very nice guy. They had the bowl games on and I ordered wings with a house salad. I highly recommend getting the Hot Gold and Suicide sauces for the wings. They were great.

The food was good, but the service made the experience great. The staff are so incredibly friendly and welcoming. Such a nice mom and pops vibe. They were hauling major ass and not once did they seem annoyed or slightly inconvenienced. We went during an NFL game and was pleasantly surprised by how rowdy and exciting it was. They had humungus 4.99 slice pizza deals (50c for each topping) which were perfectly saucy. Their wings are a great deal at 20.99 for 16 wings. Beers were 3 bucks on NFL game days. Amazing. Will def be back. Hopefully they'll have the same amazing deals during the baseball season.

Just tired shys tonight and the pizza and garlic knots were delish. The pizza sauce was solid and the service was good! We will be back!

The food was amazing and the service was fantastic. The pizza and crust was so good and the wings were perfectly crispy and saucy. The fries were even amazing with the Meatball sub! The restaurant was very clean and had a great atmosphere with multiple sports playing. I highly recommend even if it's a little out of the way.

Today was our second time eating pizza at Shy's and it was delicious! I love their pizza sauce it's light and tastes fresh and the cheese is nice and salty. It's a bit greasy but I mean... it's pizza! Even my mom who is particular liked it and said she would like to eat there again soon. Definitely give this place a try and take a look at their daily specials. The man working there was kind, welcoming, and fast he service was fast. We are definitely going to be back soon!
