Serranos Mexican Restaurant -- Queen Creek

I ordered the burro filled with red chili and a cheese enchilada. But the service...Tony M was fabulous. Very enthusiastic and he sold you and n what you were ordering.He was great.

Serrano's has been a staple for my entire life in the East Valley. The BEST bean dip and salsa that never disappoints. The staff is always great and accommodating. The style and decor is a great atmosphere setter and what you want from a family owned Mexican restaurant.

The best chips and salsa with bean dip. Thin warm chips!! Solid menu with a variety of choices. Full bar and outdoor seating. Friendly service and quick with the food.

Hadn't been here in years, but it was still as good as I remember love their chicken fajitas and margaritas. Parents both loved their entrées as well. I think my mom got beef enchiladas and my dad got a chicken burrito and they loved it. Great service.!!

First time here, and it didn't disappoint. Service was great, chips were warm, and food was delicious. Will be coming back.

It was great to be back at Serranos in Queen Creek. It has been a long time. I used to go there with my stepfather and mom. love the chips, salsa and Bean dip. I ordered the Friday special. It was a bean and cheese chimichanga with one side. I chose the Mexican style vegetables. The waiter asked if I wanted sauce and cheese I said yes half green half red I don't have any complaints with the food it tasted as expected. However, I was charged three dollars without notice for the sauce and cheese. That was a bummer. Probably won't be back for another 12 years.

Excellent food and service. The fresh salsa is just hot enough. You will need box to take home.

Big portions served for Chicken Fajitas.The all you can eat chips salsa and beans wow such a good idea we were starving and those were. Rough to our table right away.

It has been many years since dining at Serranos. Historic Chandler family! The good:We arrived just as they opened at 11am. The door was held open by one of the kitchen staff wearing a plastic apron. He was friendly and welcoming. Our server, Marla, was simply fantastic. She was fast, efficient, and anticipated our needs without us asking. I could tell she isn't new to serving. Kudos to her! The food was hot, fresh, and appetizing. I had a machaca chimi with jalapeño cream cheese, it was delicious. My honey, had a red chili beef burrito, excellent. Busy Thursday lunch crowd. The bad: Reason for 4 stars versus 5 is cleanliness. As standing to be seated, I look up at the ceiling and the vents are soiled and dirty. We sat at a booth next to a windows and the windows are filthy inside and out. The window ledge had some trash on it too. We will come back, the chips are light and crispy, food is as great and the service was even better! Thank you Serranos family for the amazing bean dip all these from a Chandler original!

I struggled to decide whether to write this review. My wife and I used to go to Serrano's every week until ownership and/or management changed. On our last visit, it was apparent that they had great difficulty having enough servers to handle the number of customers. The food and service were good for us, even with this difficulty.The front desk's handling of guest assignments was terrible. The estimated time given to seating was off by a factor of three: 45 minutes versus 15 minutes.That being enough of a problem, the front desk greeter was unfair. Rather than placing people in order of their arrival, she often gave the open seating to friends or those culturally matching her. This was exceptionally disappointing when we witnessed favoritism shown to a couple who had just arrived versus a couple who had been there almost an hour. Unfortunately, the man's wife in this couple had diabetes and needed to eat. When this was mentioned to the greeter, she blew them off disrespectfully.When we go out to eat, we want to relax and enjoy our meal, not witness drama and unfair actions.This was exceptionally disappointing, and I felt obligated to let others know.We will not return to this restaurant. According to employee input, a lot is going on behind the scenes. I am happy for those of you who have never experienced any issues; perhaps another choice is better for those who have.
