Interior. Didn't care for the "rustic touch" with branches on the over-hangs. Kept wondering if there were bugs in the wood....

I have traveled this great nation far and wide and sampled Mexican food from Old Town San Diego to New Jersey. Tex, Mex, Sonorran, New Mexican and whatever they called it in Jersey and even in Guadalajara and in the town of Tequila. This is some of the best I can ever remember eating anywhere in my 60 years roaming this earth looking for incredible bean dip, awesome salsa and other fun things my cardiologist says I should not eat.Heidi was our server and Maria was our very friendly manager today. Food was top notch, we had the appetizer sampler platter and the Chili Con Carne verde style literally blew my socks off!!! An absolutely incredible hospitality experience that Started with our man Steven at the front door!We will be back and soon and we will have dessert first!

This was probably the worst Mexican meal I've ever had. And, I paid over $40 for this nastiness. I will say the waitress was great. We were seated immediately and served with nachos and ranch and bean dip. The chicken in the taco salad tasted like the chicken in a can (like tuna). My son said he could've made a better quesadilla at home with cheese slices. He also said the beans tasted like canned beans. After discussing our experience with others, my son and I were both told the establishment has went downhill in recent years. I'll never waste my money there again. Taco Bell was a better option. The restaurant was clean and decorated nicely.

It has been years since I ate at a Serrano's and boy what have I missed! The food is delicious, no-frills goodness, that tastes just like good Mexican food should. The starter chips, salsa and bean dip hit the spot. Then my Red Chile Machaca Burro Enchilada Style was tasty and very filling. The lunch special included a large burro, stuffed with meat, topped with a great sauce and cheese and surrounded by rice and beans. The service was fast and the ambiance the standard Mexican restaurant look. Muy fantastico!

We normally go to Serranos in chandler but was meeting a friend who was in town and this was closer for him. We started off with the chips and salsa and bean dip. This salsa seemed to be a little different than the one in chandler. It's also had more of a kick to it and seemed maybe more like fire roasted. I had the combo plate with 2 tacos, rice and French fries (the fries were for husband) I had the ground beef and machaca tacos. The ground beef was definitely different than the one in chandler. I like chandler better. My husband just got the one ground beef taco then of course the French fries. Lol. The food and service was good but I definitely like the one in chandler better.

I was recommended to eat at this restaurant, to be honest with you we took a guest from out of town here for our first time.We were not satisfied with the service or the food, one guest did not even eat more then two bites of his food, all of our food came out cold and everything was so chewy. And it was so over priced for what we got.I'm not sure if it was a bad night for the cook or if that's what kind of food they normally serve. But we were very embarrassed that we took our guest to eat here.Due to how unsatisfying it was.

We had a very curt waitress, but when my friend wanted a taco salad she said that yes onions could be added to her salad. I consider onions to be a condiment, and onions on a salad are like getting ketchup on a hamburger, but she got maybe two tablespoons of onion and a$1 charge for them on our bill. Mentioned to the waitress that if we were going to be charged that much she should have said that while she was taking the order, at which point she got defensive and said it was an add on, implying that we must be idiots not to realize that she meant we would be charged extra. The food itself was adequate, nothing special and certainly not worth the aggravation of dealing with indifferent staff.

Dined here about a month ago and the holiday special was decent. Dined again last night and left without finishing dinner. Ordered chicken fajitas. Normally fajitas are sizzling. These were barely smoking, vegetables looked soggy, different sizes. The entire skillet looked like it was days old. The flour tortillas were "doughy", undercooked or wet. The server took the cost off the bill, however the manager never came by to apologize for a horrible meal. Won't be back as my husband I were both sick later that evening.

Tonight me and my husband went to eat at Serrano's. We have been eating there since 2001. We always loved the food, the taste and the size of the portions. The best was the size of their Chimichanga"s. Until tonight. The size are so much smaller. Now they serve you 6 inch instead of 8 or 9 inch. So sad. We even talked about finding another Mexican Restaurant.

The food here is consistently good, friendly fast service. We usually get takeout which is still piping hot when we get home, but we've eaten in too and they have the same friendly and fast service. We go here more than any other restaurant.
