Pros:* Amy traveled to our venue, was prepared with paperwork/diagrams, & took measurements of everything* Organized & thorough* Helpful vendor recommendations. We used her caterer & florist, & they exceeded our expectations* Organized platform on google drive for all documents such as contracts, deposits, etc.* Amy worked with us from May 2021 - Oct 2022* Rayna, Amy's daughter who attended our wedding, was very attentive She checked in with us to make sure we had everything we needed. She was very aware of the timeline & made sure vendors were too._____________________________________________________________________________________Cons:* Amy breached her contract by double-booking herself the night of our wedding. Therefore, she did not attend our wedding & she was not available for any communication the entire day of our wedding even though we contracted with her first. We were contracted with her & had our deposit paid for a full 7 months prior to the other couple that she booked herself with on the same night, so there should not have been any confusion as to her obligation to us. The contract that we signed stated, "Onsite event coordination by a Sensational Events team member - Amy Petrovsky." However, she had her daughter, Rayna, attend our wedding instead* When we told Amy that we were going to write an honest review she blocked us from all social media & from all our shared docs on our google drive from the wedding such as contracts & receipts that we uploaded.* We were not able to rent certain items from Amy, such as table numbers, because she had them reserved for the other couple's wedding that same night* Amy lied to us stating that she could not attend our event because of a "family obligation" which she informed us was her in-laws 50th wedding anniversary. However, exactly 1 month after our wedding she made social media posts wishing the other couple a happy 1-month anniversary along with a video she took at their wedding* Rayna, Amy's daughter who attended our wedding, was an "Event Assistant" for Sensational Events from May 2014 - May 2018. This is not comparable to the 25 years of experience that Amy has, which is what we thought we were paying for.* Right before our grand entrance we were informed by Rayna that some tables at the reception did not have enough chairs for the number of guests that were supposed to be seated. Rayna asked if we could pull up the seating chart on our phones, which neither one of us had. This is info that Amy should have communicated to Rayna but did not, & Rayna, with her lack of experience, did not think to check on the seating chart while setting up the morning of. Rayna also could not get ahold of Amy for this info.* The seating chart was never fixed since Rayna did not have the info she needed. Extra guests that could not fit at their assigned tables were moved to other tables instead of having chairs added to their original assigned table. This split up family and friends in an awkward way that we did not intend.* Our photographer, videographer, & DJ, informed us that they would no longer be able to work with us because Amy was not going to allow them to have contact with us. She wanted all contact to be through her, & that is not how this vendor operated. Given how much we loved this vendor, we had to tell Amy to include us in communication. From then on, Amy wouldn't communicate with them & would have us take care of communication since we "were the ones that contracted with them."* 8 months prior to our wedding, our venue asked Amy for proof of insurance for all of our vendors. Amy waited until 2 weeks before to collect this info. Our cake baker did not have insurance, so we ended up having to pay for insurance out of our own pockets because it was too late to book a different baker.* Amy advertised to us that she had a "crew" of team members, but she is the sole planner of all her events. While Rayna was there the day of, that seemed far from a crewThankfully, our wedding turned out to be a success in the end. While we were satisfied with the wedding, we wish that we would have gone with a different planner. We are confident that there are other planners out there that could plan an amazing wedding without all of the emotional stress & inconvenience that Amy caused. DO NOT HIRE AMY PETROVSKY!

Magical, Epic Sedona Creekside Wedding - Best Day Ever!Sensational is just the beginning working with Amy! It's taken some time to write a review that appropriately captures what Amy created for us and how much we truly appreciate and adore her! Our initial introduction to Amy (best Google Search result EVER!) was truly sensational right from the start. Amy is full of endless energy, caring and expertise - the fairy godmother of wedding/event planning!I had spent a lot of time on Pinterest and I had a LOT of ideas. Amy expertly guided us through the process while keeping the aesthetic vision on track and always ALWAYS thinking of every single detail (and details for the details - she is the definition of meticulous and organized!). Amy's relationships with a variety of vendors was impressive and clearly one of mutual respect and admiration. She made the process fun and exciting and ensured we had the perfect vendors for our wedding; negotiating contracts, details and thinking of things we didn't even consider.Our site required some substantial additional work to prepare and of course Amy had the perfect vendors for us and even came back to Sedona to to help with all of the details. We wanted our wedding to be on a dock on the creek and when there was a last-minute issue with the dock being constructed it turned out Amy had already considered that and had a backup plan-she had a full stage constructed out over the creek (talk about epic!).FROM RUSSIA WITH LOVE One of our favorite design elements was the "swing tree." Amy immediately saw the potential in a majestic Sycamore tree on property with the vision of a romantic swing suspended from 30 feet above. She located a vendor in Russia that made a custom oak and macrame swing and installed a crystal chandelier centered above the swing and then decorated w/ a lush, stunning arrangement of flowers from top to bottom. Perfect place for our "First Look".Amy spent countless hours on our gorgeous hospitality gift bags. Sourcing items, personalizing & assembling each bag plus personal delivery to guests in hotels & vacation rentals.The entire weekend and wedding day was nothing short of magical and epic! Amy had stunning chandeliers throughout the property, twinkle lights and perfect furniture vignettes for each location. She had a dance floor installed outside with a gorgeous, giant chandelier above the center as if it was suspended from the sky. Our family absolutely couldn't wait for us to see the breathtaking transformation.Amy also suggested an Adventure Shoot and epic is an understatement. The photos are simply breathtaking! Amy will hold your hand through the entire process and on that day she literally held my hand as I hiked out onto those rocks in my dress and heels for the perfect Sedona sunset wedding photos I had dreamed of.Amy had every aspect organized to ensure each detail was captured and the entire experience, for us and the guests, flowed gracefully throughout the day/evening. Amy did it all with grace, heartfelt enthusiasm and perfect attention to detail.Our family/guests are still talking about what a magical, incredible weekend and all of the details Amy created that made it so special in every way. We were able to just enjoy our special weekend and feel absolutely confident Amy was handling everything. I am still amazed how Amy treats every client as if they are her only client and was always there every step of the way; never too busy for any question or concern. My husband said so many times how fortunate we were to have Amy and all she did for us to ensure our wedding weekend was everything we wanted it to be and more.The best compliment of all is the wonderful friendship we now share. Thank you Amy for being the most SENSATIONAL wedding planner ever, our much loved friend and making our (my...) chandelier-filled Pinterest wedding dreams come true! We love you! Amy and Sensational Events planned our wedding. Because of Amy, everything went perfectly. From the beginning she worked well with us as well as our vendors. Her ability to negotiate with vendors saved us money and headaches. People think they can plan an event on their own and try to save money by doing ti themselves. What they don't realize is that the money Amy can save you on vendors pays for itself and then you get all of her ideas, expertise and dedication for free! Being able to sit back and enjoy our wedding day and spend time with guests while not worrying about flowers, food and the band was an experience you can't put a price on. I really don't know what we would have done without her. I would recommend Sensational Events to anyone!

I attended a weekend party that was organized by Sensational Events and I had to stop and write a review about how phenomenal the event was run. There were so many moving parts with 50+ couples going to a resort in Sedona from Scottsdale, and Amy was on top of every detail. She managed every issue with grace and made sure each and every guest was taken care of. If you need a planner who handles every little detail so that you can enjoy your party, this is your organization!

Working with Amy was a breath of fresh air. She is incredibly organized and pays attention even to the smallest details which come together to make an event truely sensational. Every event that I've had the priveledge to work with Amy always runs like clockwork. The caliber of people that she chooses to work with is yet another distinction, they are all consumate professionals that ensure every event is just that... an event!
