It's a cool event and free! However very crowded (of course) so that kinda over takes the experience. You actually just walk with crowds of people the entire time.. a little stressful but nice to get out and see everything

Got a Groupon to attend this award winning show. The Groupon is a 2 for 1 deal on the price. We also received a postcard for a discounted rate. Parking can be a challenge but there are several pay for parking areas as well as the free garage by the Scottsdale Public Library. The show usually has returning artists as well as some new artists. The show is juried. We always have a good time wandering through the arts. If you're hungry, there are several food trucks available. Lovely area to roam or sit on the grass and listen to music/singing. Expect to spend at least 2-3 hours at the show, don't miss the silent auction and Gallery store.

I went to art school so I have a certain aesthetic I look for and I find it hard to get excited about large art shows and festivals such as this. That's not a knock on the artisans who are out busting their chops by putting their heart and soul into their craft it's just to say I like what I like. With that said there was some interesting stuff here; some good, some okay. I chatted with a few of the glass blowers and painters and everyone was friendly and inviting. The event was setup well and there was stuff for everyone...including food. Good event at the perfect time of year.

Thanks for the ticket. There was some confusion at first with some of the staff, but I eventually made my way in. I love this festival. It is well organized and the variety of art on display is awesome. I was amazed at some of the creativity that I saw. I actually took the time to talk to many of the artist. Majority of them were very welcoming and enjoyed talking about their art process. There was plenty of options for both food and drinks. I would say the only issue is that the parking around the civic center can be a pain. Especially when Scottsdale Stadium has a spring training going on. I had fun - thanks again!

I have to thank Hailey for the free ticket to this weekend's Scottsdale Arts Festival! I LOVE this fest and try to get there every year. The food truck selection is huge, the entertainment is actually good (Oh man, this year there was some high school steel drum band and they were so talented and so much cooler than me in high school) and the art booths are so varied. I love how BIG this fest is. You can stroll all over the Civic Center park and take your time perusing everything. The volunteers are always plentiful and can direct you to whatever you're looking for. And to be honest, I appreciate that you can use the bathroom in the Performing Arts Center vs. the portapotties (there are a ton of them--I'm just a weenie like that.)The weather was perfect this weekend and I couldn't have asked for a better way to enjoy a perfect Arizona spring Saturday. Thanks, Yelp!

A beautiful, cozy, arts center in downtown Scottsdale. I've seen a reading of short stories and also a concert. If I lived closer, I'd go more often. The box office staff and ushers are professional and friendly. There's a little shop with books and gifts and jewelry, perfect for pre-show browsing. The only downside might be walking down the stairs inside the auditorium if you're seated down front, but they do have an elevator if you prefer.

Scottsdale Arts Festival is a really great time. Two stages with rotating live musical acts, lots of food trucks (lineup perhaps borrowed from Food truck Fridays), and of course plety of local artists sharing their work. The grounds provide a perfect setting, lots of grass and shade trees for those sunny days. I'd say I prefer this event of Tempe's Festival of the Arts mainly because of better food choices and a prime location. We parked at a church for $5, and walked less than a block to make it to the fest's entrance gate. Admission is $8 per adult, there are activities for kids (they were making some sort of brimmed hat with paper bags)- so it's really fun for the entire family. Yes, alcohol is served on site- and there are festival stewards everywhere to ask questions or get recommendations. Unfortunately, we ate prior to the festival so we only got to smell the food and not taste. Make sure you take time to visit the next go around, you won't be disappointed.
