This place is under new ownership and replaced another Indian vegetarian restaurant in the location. We decided to check it out and came for a weekday lunch. We wanted to check out the a la carte menu to see what they have to offer which includes dishes from North and South Indian origins. They have vegan, vegetarian, and carnivorous options. Value: the weekday lunch buffet is a great value for $16. On weekends it is $20. It includes unlimited dosa (an Indian crispy crepe), curries, idly, naan, rice, vegetable curries and dishes, and dessert options. They also serve an array of chutneys, raita and sauce with the buffet. It was a great way to sample a new restaurant but be warned that this cuisine is very rich so it's easy to get overstuffed trying everything they offer. The downside of a buffet is you cannot adjust the spice/heat level on request, but the value was definitely worthwhile. Service: we were greeted with a friendly host and the kitchen manager after we were seated. They served us our drinks in about 15 minutes. While I think they were hospitable, the communication with the kitchen needs some training. I ordered my dosa right when we sat down, and we were approached twice with questions about the same order. We were one of 4 tables seated and I felt their ability to serve was slow. It took about 30 minutes to serve the first item I had ordered. Food: the flavors of the chicken curries were average but palatable. I enjoyed my South Indian items more (idly and dosa). Even the dosa was not crispy and their size is small (which may be because it was for the buffet and I could order more). The desserts were on point. Ambiance: clean, spacious, true to culture. The bathroom definitely needs some updating and renovation. I'm honored to be the first Yelp Elite to review this place. Overall, I would return to the place again because they serve my favorite dishes from South India but I think they have some training to staff to work on to receive 5 stars from me. Improvements for service and timing from the kitchen are needed.

We are new to the area and is staying at the hospital down the street. My husband being Indian just came out of surgery and wanted only Indian food. I'm not sure who the person the helped me was but I was sure he was the owner. He was incredibly kind and assisting. I place an order 15-20 min prior to closing and was going to arrive late to pick up. I called ahead and they were accommodating and assured me they can wait till I get there. Thank you so much for the delicious South Indian food you have provided me and my husband this night. The food was delicious and very reasonably priced. We got the iddly and rava masala dosa.Wish nothing but success for this restaurant.

Incredible service and such good food! Bright and clean ambiance. Highlights were the chai, chutneys, medhu vada, mixed veggie pakora, and dosa. Homemade desserts (gulab jamun and rasmalai) were a great end to the meal. Highly recommend and would definitely come back for a comforting South Indian meal.

Previously home to the Ruchi Indian buffet, this location has undergone a stunning transformation under new ownership and a recent renovation. Now known as Sampurna, the restaurant boasts a fresh, modern ambiance, a warm and attentive staff, and an array of delicious dishes that cater to both herbivores and omnivores alike. With a weekend buffet priced around $20, you'll find plenty of options to indulge in, and they keep the dosas coming--ensuring every bite is as satisfying as the last. If you're looking for something different or simply love the taste of southern Indian cuisine, you won't be disappointed. I know I'll be back for more!

I've been stuck on the toilet for the past 2 days. I ate at the buffet and I will never eat here again. The food tasted good initially, but it must have been spoiled. There are plenty of great Indian restaurants in the area, but this is definitely not one of them. Do not go here unless you like spending a few days in a bathroom.

The prices are great for how large the portions are! We enjoyed our vegetarian entrees especially Gobi Manchurian. Great flavor and the best Indian we've had in a long time. Sad to see that they didn't have much business on the Saturday night. Go try it out!

The food was mediocre at best and I felt gassy all day afterwards. Went for the buffet and it says it's South Indian but the food hardly stacks up to the quality of South Indian food. The dosa was tasting off, the tea was stale and some of the North Indian curries were palatable but I can't say the same about the South Indian food. There used to be a previous establishment here which served authentic South Indian food and great South Indian buffet but I can't know what this is.I wonder if they are recycling leftovers in the buffet as I was feeling gassy and bloated all day.Even the North Indian food in the buffet was old and sitting for hours and the Naan was dry and rubbery. They really need to decide what restaurant this is and improve on the quality of the food and that's not good for a new restaurant that just changed hands. They could just serve North Indian and serve fewer items and still serve better quality and fresh food. Most items on the buffet tasted like it's recycled and reheated leftovers and the dosa hardly passes the test for dosa. It was sour and off.Don't recommend this place unless they improve the quality of food.

We found this restaurant quite by accident! They serve an excellent buffet and the price for the variety they provide is phenomenal. This restaurant is a must visit whether you are visiting or live in Chandler,Phonix AZ. They brought us dosas as part of the buffet. The buffet consisted of both vegetarian and nonvegetarian dishes, along with a variety of deserts. My colleague and I were in Chandler for work the first week of November. I also must say that the service was awesome, the waiters could not do enough for us. They refilled water and removed dishes very cheerfully. All in all we had a great experience and I simply had to share this with everyone.
