My husband enjoyed the birria at Sabor a Mi so much he wished there was a brick and mortar location to go to! The birria seemed to be the main protein of choice at the festival we were at for this little food stand and it was worth the cost. It was full flavored and very tender. Service was super friendly and they also had the cheapest prices for bottles of water when we were here so another plus!

Everything they make is a five!Nachos...bam! Tacos...great! This watermelon drink...chug! Those egg roll things... great! So is it worth wait? I think so. There certainly not in hurry but there making your food.I'm from California's central coast and there's a taco stand of some sort every 4 blocks. The compation is fierce. This pop up would be a solid competitor. Last words...let's go!

I've salivated over their posts on Instagram for over six months now, so when I noticed them alerting a visit to my neck of the valley, I set a reminder in my calendar. The line was short when we arrived, only 2 people deep. I could feel excitement bursting when I began my order, as I watched the employees working it in the 106 degree weather, shaded by a collection of pop up awnings. We didn't wait that long, and the food came out scalding hot. The posole ramen was a bit disappointing, at $11, as it only contained one chunk of pork, and the amount of noodles was underwhelming. The taste was good, but much too pricey for me to ever order again. The keto taco, at $4.50, was as hot to the touch as you'd expect a cheese tortilla, that just came off the grill, to be. We should have just drove our food home, which would have given it time to cool. Noting that for next time...The Quesitacos, at $4/ea, were so hot, it was like buying a Rolex at a pawn shop... it burns my fingers. Once we arrived home, I got into one, and it was good. Not great, but good. You may want to explicitly ask for some birria dipping sauce, as they don't just give it to you.The real treats this day were the agua frescas. At $4.50/ea, they're about the same as a $tarbuck$ beevy, but bursting with flavor. Bae highly recommends the Watermelon Pineapple and the Horchata, which was creamy with a hint of spice, like a chai tea, not like the over sweet concoctions at other restaurants. The problem with food trucks on social is that they've already set expectations so high, so when a customer shows up, they need to maintain the highest of standards, otherwise, they're just creating disappointing experiences, as you can see by their scathing reviewsOne annoyance: there were no trash cans for their patrons, although there were a couple of picnic benches and hi tops. I get that you don't want to lug bags of trash away... but neither do your customers.

Where do I begin with the huge let down Sabor A Mi brought to Chandler on Friday, July 24th. I have been following them on social media for quite some time, when I saw they were popping up in Chandler I immediately told my foodie crew. Knowing that this place has a big fan base we showed up 30 minutes before they opened. The line was already insane by the time we got there. Which we expected by all means. What we didn't expect was Arizona's crazy monsoon season to hit us. The rain came down on us hard! Many people stayed, which just confirmed how faithful their costumers were and showed us we should definitely stick this out even though we were soaking wet. Two hours into waiting in line, the owner walked down and confirmed they had enough food for us. About 45 minutes later, the owner does a second walk through down the line, he started asking people if they were ordering ramen, looks like they now needed a head count to see if they had enough for the crowd. Another 45 minutes goes by and the owner does a third walk through the line asking people how many tacos they were ordering. At this point they should have been honest and told people they were out of food. We make it to the front of the line at 11:00 PM and what do we see, they are now out of ramen, out of nachos, and out of consomé. We were good sports about it and opted for the quesi-birria tacos (even though I really wanted the ramen). We ordered 10 quesi-tacos and it came out to $44. After paying we still waited 45 minutes to get our food. We grab our order and take it to the car only to realize they gave us the worlds driest tacos. Since they ran out of consomé, they gave us dry and hard tortillas. The meat was bottom of the barrel with lots of fat. Also, some of our tacos only had a slither of filling. To put it into perspective, they looked like Jack in the Box 99 cent tacos, I would rather eat those tacos instead of the garbage Sabor a Mi served us. If you've had quesi-birria tacos you know they are suppose to be juicy, they cover the tortilla in birria juice, lay it on the grill, and mount a good amount of cheese and shredded beef. What we got was not even close to what they advertise on their Instagram page. Sabor a Mi compromised the quality of their food to make money out of their loyal customers. They should've had the integrity to tell people they are out of ingredients that are vital to their recipe. It should not have taken me getting into my car to realize what they sold me was not what they advertise. I really hope they realize they have disappointed many customers in Chandler.

Not worth the wait. We got there right when they opened and there was a line, we ended up being order #15. They didn't start taking orders for 30 minutes after opening, and then it took another 30 minutes for us to get to the front of the line, and then another 30 minutes to get our food. The taco was just ok and the quesadilla was so soggy it was gross. Disappointing after hearing a lot of good things and definitely not worth the wait which didn't even make sense cause we weren't that far back in line!

Not worth the wait similar to a previous review orders taken 15 minutes past open time ordered some of everything and was very disappointed the best thing was the quesadilla but who can mess that up was order #10 and didn't get my food till 10am mind you they started taking orders at 8:15 also the workers seem to care more about getting they're friends out of the long wait as opposed to customers who've been waiting

The food was okay, not great. The "20 min wait" took an hour and 20 min. We were substituted items in our order without advance notice because they "ran out." Other people were just as frustrated with the wait and being substituted items they didn't order. Some ordered ramen and were told after waiting forever that their ramen was out. The salsa was amazing though! Loved the heat. Overall I would not recommend due to the wait and lack of organization.

I usually never leave bad reviews because sh*t happens, but i think it's important. Long story short. Pop up was scheduled for 5:30-9....they werent done setting up until 6:50pm....still had to place an order and wait 40 mins for my food....overall, waited 2 hours for soggy birria tacos and a long black hair melted into my keto taco from the owner (female)... Spent almost $50 on dinner and didnt enjoy it at all. They also advertised birria ramen and birria egg rolls for the pop up, which is exactly what i wanted, and they said they didnt have any when i got up to order. Mind you i was like 4th in line. Ive been waiting to try this place for maybe a year...Completely disappointed in the quality and the pricing. Definitely not worth the wait.

I am so appalled by the lack of professionalism from this company. Not only were they TWO HOURS late to the wedding they were hired for but the gentleman that was representing the company (bigger bald man) was extremely rude when I confronted him about getting a partial refund/discount. His response was to take it up with his wife, who was no where to be found and then immediately asked if I "wanted to continue to argue with him or have him set up". No apology, no reasoning, nothing. This wasn't just a little party, it was a wedding and they gave no empathy for the fact that we had a bunch of starving guests on this special day. I would NEVER recommend this group to anyone. Also the beans and rice were cold. And to make matters worse they were extremely rude to the venue and staff that were trying to coordinate with them.
