We had a horrible experience with this company. They catered my sister's wedding, showed up 20 + minutes late, were completely unapologetic (at best), bordering on downright rude, upon their arrival. My sister paid $$$$ for cold-cut croissant sandwiches that arrived warm, and small desserts that they weren't finished assembling, even though they arrived late! Just the worst.

Bottom line: They simply do not care about your event or the quality of their own product or serviceThis company talks a good game but in the end, they delivered utter crap. They forgot appetizers that were ordered, served minuscule portions, and overall treated us as though we deserved nothing better than what they offered, which was crapTheir servers were really slow (we waited over an hour for all 16 tables to be served) and the service was a bit harsh with the servers pulling and pushing plates from our guests as though we were in a diner and they needed the space for the next seating.IF YOU CARE ABOUT YOUR EVENT YOU WILL AVOID THIS SHODDY EXCUSE FOR A CATERER WITH ALL YOUR MIGHT.

If I could give less stars I would! After promised a nut free meal, each course had nuts. When speaking with a manager she said "the chicken didn't have nuts, they are just pine nuts." I had to walk away. The worst part was when I saw the wait staff prepping plates using bare hands, and snacking on the food as they were putting together the plates. I actually left the event. I was not comfortable with even drinking the water after that. I would never use them or go to an event that did.

We used Park Avenue Catering for my daughter's bridal shower. They were so professional and the crepe stations were delicious!

Our experience for our daughters wedding had good and bad. When I say bad....I mean "I was furious" bad. THE GOOD: The guests at the wedding were pleased with their food for the most part and the omelet station was a big hit. The set up for the buffet line worked well, looked beautiful and appetizing and the servers were kind and polite. Everything was clean. They accommodated us with a breakfast buffet which is not that common and it was served on time. THE BAD: They told us from the beginning that catering a breakfast wedding would very easy including a separate breakfast for the maid of honor who cannot have any gluten. We met with them months in advance and were re-assured that it would be no problem. We communicated all along the wedding planning process and were told repeatedly the gluten free plate was not an issue. LESS THAN ONE WEEK BEFORE THE WEDDING, THE CATERER SAID SHE COULD NOT DO THE GLUTEN FREE MEAL FOR THE MAID OF HONOR!!!! She said that it would be too much trouble and make her go on a separate shopping trip because she buys in bulk only and that it might be better if a family member or someone else made the single gluten free plate. (The plate we asked for was simply a specific brand of greek yogurt, organic sausage, fruit and nuts and fried potatoes.) Then they tried to take the maid of honors lunch box away from her and serve the gluten free breakfast (that she had to bring) to her on a plate (in order to try and save face) "because it would not look right if she ate out of a lunchbox at the head table". We said "No way....she is keeping that lunch box and letting everyone here know that you were unable to accommodate one person with a slightly special plate". The bride and groom specifically asked for the sausage not to be served at their wedding because it was disgusting and tasted like cafeteria sausage and was served anyway. It was nasty and when people tasted it...it was left on their plate.

We didn't have much luck with these folks. We wanted stations that would be hearty but were quoted soup and sliders. We wanted stations that would be easy for our guests and she kept quoting "make your own" type of dishes. I always got the feeling she was putting up with us. Straight to the Plate made it very personable and we're getting gyros, meatballs, mushroom caps, zucchini boats - fun and filling and not so much work.
